Chapter 424: Xieling the baddie

’Give me a minute,’ said Jolie. Meanwhile, Bi Yu stared intently at the security monitors, her eyes scanning each camera feed in the palace. She had been searching for the prince for what felt like hours though it was only a few minutes, but there was no sign of him anywhere. Frustration creased her brow as she turned to Qie Xieling. "I can’t find him anywhere. It seems someone erased the footage prior," she said but Qie Xieling didn’t respond.

"Qie Xieling!" she called out again her voice tinged with concern. But to her dismay, he seemed completely lost in a trance, unresponsive to her calls. She repeated his name and shook him hard.

Finally, he snapped out of his daze, his eyes focusing on her. "The basement," he said, his voice filled with urgency. "Do you know where it is?"

Bi Yu’s mind raced, trying to recall the palace’s intricate layout. She quickly zoomed in on the schematics. After a moment, she pointed to the building’s floor plan.

"I haven’t been there but there are multiple of them," she replied, determination filling her voice. "I can get us there but I need to know which basement."

Before she could act, Qie Xieling swiftly moved past her, brushing her aside. His fingers danced across a portable hacking device he carried, swiftly infiltrating the palace’s security system. Bi watched in awe as he effortlessly bypassed firewalls and security protocols, gaining access to the live footage they desperately needed.

On the monitor, they saw a chilling scene unfold. Doctors frantically worked to save Luo Muchen’s life, their faces etched with worry. The King hovered nearby, his eyes filled with annoyance, while several figures dressed in white cloaks sat silently a few feet away.

Bi Yu’s heart sank at the sight, realising the gravity of the situation. She wanted to believe that Qie Xieling was lying but why would he risk coming here guns blazing in a capital star that wanted him dead? Even if he was doing it out of love it would be stupid for him to attack like this.

The fact that he risked everything to be here meant Luo Muchen was really in danger. And now seeing it with her own eyes she knew that he was really in trouble.

The beeping sound of the panel beside the door brought her back to reality. Qie Xieling had already run out of the security room. She clenched her trembling hand and followed after him.

"Do you even know where you are going? Let me lead the way... you will need my security clearance."

Qie Xieling let her lead the way but he couldn’t think straight. His entire body was numb and his heart was beating rapidly. He was really scared to lose Luo Muchen.

They sprinted through the labyrinthine halls of the grand palace, their footsteps echoing off the marble floors. Their breaths were heavy with adrenaline. Along the way, they met the king’s guards. Bi Yu tried as hard as she could to prevent a confrontation but Qie Xieling had long lost his patience. He knocked out whoever was in his way and passed them.

With each encounter, he unleashed his formidable skills, fluidly dispatching the guards one by one. His movements were a blur of precision and power, his body a deadly weapon in motion. The clash resonated through the corridors as he parried and thrust, his eyes focused and fierce.

Bi Yu, astounded by his prowess, couldn’t help but be captivated by his grace and strength. She fought alongside him her skills not lagging behind but she was impressed by him. When they approached the entrance of the basement they were met by even more soldiers waiting for them.

"Put down your weapons!" she shouted, her voice carrying authority. "The prince is in trouble." 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

For a fleeting moment, the soldiers hesitated, their eyes flickering with uncertainty. But their hesitation was short-lived as a chilling order reverberated from the communicators.

"Kill them! Now!" The king’s voice boomed, his words dripping with venomous rage. The soldiers’ expressions hardened, their hesitation transforming into unwavering resolve. Without another word, they unleashed a barrage of bullets and laser beams upon the two filling the air with a symphony of destruction.

Qie Xieling was like a force to be reckoned with, swiftly dodged the onslaught of projectiles, his movements fluid and precise. With each step, he closed the distance between himself and the soldiers, his plasma guns blazing with deadly accuracy. The air crackled with energy as his shots found their mark, disarming and incapacitating his foes.

But as impressive as his marksmanship was it was difficult to control his shoots and make sure that they weren’t fatal. He moved with the grace of a predator, his hands a blur of motion as he engaged the soldiers in bone-crushing hand-to-hand combat. His strikes were a symphony of force, each blow landing with the precision of a master martial artist.

Bi Yu, witnessing his prowess, couldn’t help but be awestruck. Her heart raced with a mixture of fear and excitement as she fought alongside him. It got her blood pumping.

As the battle raged on, Qie Xieling’s ferocity became a legend among the soldiers. He was like a phantom fighting in the shadows with terrifying preciseness.

One by one, the soldiers fell, their bodies strewn across the floor. The air was heavy with the scent of smoke and burning metal, a testament to the chaos that had unfolded within the confines of the narrow passageway.

As the last soldier crumpled to the ground, defeated Qie Xieling stood amidst the wreckage, his chest heaving with exertion. His handsome features were etched with a fierce resolve. He walked over the soldiers’ collapsed bodies towards the basement doors.

The doors slid open and he was met with weapons pointed at him. "Drop your weapons," said one of the king’s guards and Qie Xieling glanced at Luo Muchen who lay there unmoving. He swallowed his anger down as he slowly lowered his body and placed the plasma gun on the ground.

"Who are you?" asked the King and Qie Xieling clenched his jaw tightly trying to restrain himself from strangling this old man.
