Chapter 415: The same reason you like me

Qie Xieling feared that Jolie would reveal things that shouldn’t be known so he picked up the couch cushion and threw it at Jolie but it passed through like she was a ghost.

"Oh, how rude," she said before her eyes widened. She pointed at Luo Muchen before speaking in Qie Xieling’s mind.

’Why didn’t you tell me he was here?’

’I tried to tell you but you kept yapping,’ he replied and Jolie put on a fake smile before saying,

"My apologies. I thought it was someone else," she tried to play the entire incident as a case of mistaken identity but Luo Muchen wasn’t stupid. These two knew each other.

"Well, that’s good then. What are you?" asked Qie Xieling but he wasn’t fooling anyone.

"We can talk about it later... I am tired," she said before running into the box to hide.

The two of them looked at each other and Luo Muchen’s gaze seemed to ask him to tell him the truth but Qie Xieling couldn’t. He immediately let out a fake yawn before he got up and said, "I am so exhausted."

"It’s been a very long day. I need to rest," he continued to murmur, his voice filled with weariness. "I think I’m going to bed."

Luo Muchen’s eyes widened for a moment, a flicker of disappointment crossing his face. "Oh okay," he replied, trying to hide his dissatisfaction. However, as he heard the main door sliding open, a surge of concern shot through him, and he almost instinctively jumped over the couch, blocking Qie Xieling’s path.

"Wait, where are you going?" he asked, his voice trembling.

Qie Xieling looked at him with a being of mischief in his eyes. "To my cabin " he replied.

"But... we’re in a relationship now. We should sleep together, shouldn’t we?"

"But you aren’t my husband. You have to marry me first for me to live with you," he said jokingly but who would have thought Luo Muchen would take it seriously?

"Then... then let’s get married," he said while swiping the panel to shut the door.

Qie Xieling laughed out loud before saying, "Would it be this easy to get a ring out of you? You will give up your freedom just for me to stay with you?"

Luo Muchen nodded his head vigorously while unwilling to let him go. He placed his hand on the side of Qie Xieling’s neck and rubbed his cheek with his thumb while saying, "I will gladly become your husband if it gets you to stay with me. We even have a crew member on board who can officiate."

Qie Xieling gently pushed him away before saying, "No need for that. You just have to promise to keep your hands to yourself."

A spark of relief flashed in Luo Muchen’s eyes. He lowered his head and whispered, "I promise I won’t do anything to you tonight."

A small smile tugged at the corners of Qie Xieling’s lips as he headed to the bedroom. Luo Muchen had promised him but it was more difficult than he thought. Qie Xieling lay in bed, wrapped in the warmth of his embrace their bodies moulded together, fitting perfectly like two puzzle pieces. His lips brushed against the crook of Qie Xieling’s neck sending a shiver of delight coursing through his veins, setting his skin ablaze with desire.

His arms tightened around Qie Xieling’s chest, drawing him even closer his mind in a haze. Qie Xieling could feel Luo Muchen’s breath tickling his skin, a gentle caress that sent waves of affection cascading through his body. "I thought you said you would keep your hands to yourself?"

"I am. I am just cuddling you that’s all," he said and Qie Xieling laughed softly while deliberately sticking his butt against Luo Muchen’s crotch. To say it was a provocation would be an understatement. Luo Muchen bit his lower lip feeling this was a great test.

Lost in the sensation, he whispered words of adoration against Qie Xieling’s ear, his voice a velvet melody that resonated deep within Qie Xieling’s soul.

"How can I contain myself when you are that irresistible?... You drive me insane babe," he said his warm breath spraying against Qie Xieling’s ear.

Qie Xieling’s heart swelled with tenderness, overwhelmed by the depth of their connection.

Luo Muchen inhaled deeply, intoxicated by Qie Xieling’s scent, a unique blend of warmth and tranquillity that seemed to always calm his soul.

"Lin Lin, can I ask you something," he said and Qie Xieling rubbed his arm gently while replying,

"Sure, as long as it’s not a challenging question. I don’t feel like using my brain right now."

Luo Muchen interlocked their fingers together before saying, "It’s nothing complicated. If anything you would have to use your heart to answer."

Qie Xieling waited for him to ask the question and after waiting for a while Luo Muchen finally dared to ask, "Would you still find me attractive if you found out that I have scars?"

Qie Xieling’s brows knitted wondering where this question was coming from. "I would still be attracted to you... You might not understand why someone you never met likes you... My love for you is from previous lifetimes. In each lifetime I look for you and make you fall in love with me all over again so I don’t care about that. What are a few scars when I can win your heart?"

Qie Xieling’s tone was not serious making it difficult for Luo Muchen to discern if he was being serious or not. He had also wondered in the past why Qie Xieling liked him despite having never met. He had plenty of admirers on Zeden StarNet who were infatuated with him but Qie Xieling’s interest in him was different. He wasn’t infatuated but he was in love with him. That had always vexed Luo Muchen.

"Why me? Why do you like me?" asked Luo Muchen and Qie Xieling’s response was direct.

"The same reason you like me."
