Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 416: Jolie, the menace to society

Luo Muchen didn’t know exactly why he liked Qie Xieling. He just knew that he didn’t want him to be with anyone else and that he wanted to keep him by his side.

Luo Muchen pulled him closer and nozzled his neck before falling into a deep sleep.

"You have no idea what went down lately," said Jolie while poking at the suffocating box that had housed her this entire time. Qie Xieling who was in the pool inside Luo Muchen’s training room leaned against the edge while asking, "What happened?"

Jolie was more than willing to spill the tea. "The last time I sent your dad a message he finally managed to track your location so look forward to getting out of this mess soon. Oh and um..."

Qie Xieling waited for her to speak but Jolie kept her mouth shut. She didn’t want Qie Xieling to start acting out of the ordinary because of the livestream. He might not be so lovey-dovey with Luo Muchen and piss off Qie Ranzhe. How much he must be fuming seeing his innocent baby boy chase after Luo Muchen. It was a sight fun to see.

"And um what? Are my parents okay?" he asked seeming quite concerned.

"Yes they are okay... well one of them might have a heart attack soon but other than that don’t worry kiddo. They are going to rescue you."

Qie Xieling’s eyes narrowed suspicious of Jolie’s words. His parents were healthy so why would one of them have a sudden heart attack? It made no sense. "So are you two going to get married?... I heard you talking about it. You would think that box was soundproof but it’s not," said Jolie and Qie Xieling’s eyes widened.

"Did you... you heard everything?" he exclaimed and Jolie covered her mouth.

"Noooo pfft... I am not a pervert...," she said and Qie Xieling heaved a sigh of relief. "Well, except that I heard the words daddy and harder."

Qie Xieling, "..."

"You!" He exclaimed before getting out of the pool and chasing her.

Jolie, "..."

She was lying but it was too late to confess now. She ran through the walls into the elevator. Qie Xieling who couldn’t run through walls pressed the door open and ran in as soon as the doors opened.

How to catch a holographic AI in an elevator one might ask? Well, Qie Xieling forgot this task was impossible thus he kept trying. Jolie found it amusing so she kept antagonising him. When the elevator door opened it so happened to open on the commanding bridge level. Jolie led him straight into the bridge. Whether it was on purpose or not it was yet to be determined.

As he burst into the room, his eyes widened in surprise. Jolie yelled, "Captain, get a handle on your wife. He is crazy," before she vanished into thin air leaving him standing in the centre of the bridge, shirtless and breathless his bare chest glistening with water droplets.

The crew, caught off guard by his unexpected entrance, turned their attention toward him. Eyes widened, jaws dropped, and a few stifled giggles escaped the lips of some of the girls.

"Shit," swore Qie Xieling under his breath.

Flustered he could feel his cheeks burning with embarrassment. He stammered, trying to form words to explain his presence, but all that came out were incoherent sounds. "I um... I will... I... carry on," he said covering his groin area while taking a few steps back.

"No need to cover it up. You are quite blessed in that department," said one of the women and Qie Xieling pursed his lips not daring to look at Luo Muchen.

Luo Muchen had been analysing the evidence found in the box and checking how damning it was. He wanted to make sure he brought everyone involved down with him but who would have thought his sweet boyfriend would rush in here half-naked for all to see? And from the looks of it, everyone seemed very impressed by what they were seeing.

Suddenly, amidst the awkward silence, Luo Muchen appeared beside him. He swiftly scooped Qie Xieling up over his shoulder, effortlessly carrying him away from the prying eyes of the crew.

Qie Xieling was surprised but didn’t resist. He rested his head against his boyfriend’s strong back, feeling a mix of guilt and embarrassment.

As they disappeared from the bridge, the crew members couldn’t help but chuckle at the scene they had just witnessed. It didn’t take long for the gossip to spread to the rest of the warship. It was no longer a secret that Qie Xieling and Luo Muchen were dating. The doubting Thomas’s from before had been silenced. Their stone-cold strict captain was dating the most hated criminal in Zeden Coalition. Bo Ailun couldn’t even stop the rumours even if he wanted to. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

When word got to Lee Ya she almost screamed out of her mind. Why did her stink-faced half-brother have to date the person she was clearly interested in? She climbed out of the bathtub and pulled on her bathrobe. She wanted to find out the truth from the source.

Meanwhile, Luo Muchen’s strong arm effortlessly carried Qie Xieling over his shoulder, the weight of his boyfriend resting comfortably against his back. As the elevator doors closed, he gently set him down, his expressionless face overshadowing the room. The atmosphere became charged with tension as he cornered him against the elevator wall, his palm pressing firmly against the surface.

"Do you know what you did wrong?" His voice was low and controlled, a hint of disappointment lacing his words. He stared into Qie Xieling’s eyes resisting the urge to kiss him.

Qie Xieling’s heart sank, knowing fully well that he was wrong. Damn, when he does catch Jolie he would make her pay.

"It wasn’t all my fault. It was Jolie," he said snitching but Jolie wasn’t the one running around half-naked and showing off his package to the crew. Damn, the way those girls were drooling over his package was quite infuriating.

"Ah babe don’t be mad anymore. It won’t happen again, okay," he tried to coax him while his fingers clutched the side of his waist.

Luo Muchen moved a few inches closer the tips of their noses touching. "You know... it’s for my eyes only," he said and Qie Xieling pursed his lips stifling a smile.
