Chapter 67: Chapter 54: What did she see?

"The domain prison was made to kill immortal beings, Eva just reduced the effect of the domain prison on us," Leila stated as she walked alongside Aurianna. From time to time, they jumped over shattered building bricks.

"So?" Aurianna said, raising an eyebrow.

"That means one day in the real world is 36 years, so five days would be 180 max we can spend per year." 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

"A year??!! Why?"

"As I said, our body can’t withstand the energy used to kill immortals. So, we can only access here five times a year in the real world and our body would need time to recover from the domain’s prison effect," Leila explained with a serious expression.

"But won’t we just revive, so why should we care?" Aurianna asked.

Leila shook her head, "This doesn’t affect our physical body, Aurianna but rather our souls. Exceeding five days would lead your soul to bust. Trust me, I’ve tried."

"Scary!" Aurianna’s body trembled and she clutched her shoulders.

"I wonder... What is that strange weapon you use to fight?" Leila asked, standing before Aurianna, her face close to hers.

"Well ...it’s just a ...gun," Aurianna stammered and blushed, a bit surprised by Leila’s close distance.

"A gun? Interesting, like the one automaton’s use?" Leila stepped back. A void Reaver then dashed towards her, its large scythe hands aiming for her, but its body was immediately caught up in bright white flames which turned into ash in a few seconds.

Aurianna stared nervously and walked around the dead Void Reaver’s body, trying to avoid being burnt by Leila’s flames.

"Automatons? You mean the Mecha race?" Aurianna replied to Leila’s question.

"I guess that’s the name they use in your world," Leila nodded with a smile. "A truly unique weapon, so far, it’s the only weapon I have been unable to master. I guess I found out the reason..."

Aurianna didn’t understand what Leila meant and blurted out, "Don’t worry, if we fight together you got me to be your long-ranged fighter, I’m a mage after all!" Aurianna beamed, raising her nose high.

"What a strange pose, your face is literally facing the sky," Leila commented with a surprised look. "At Least you’re not a depressed crybaby anymore." She added.

"How do you know that?" Aurianna asked, and her face darkened as she stared at Leila attentively.

"Did you forget we share the same, Pearl?" Leila remembered, and Aurianna nodded and clasped her hand in realization.

’And also I’ve been watching you, my dear sister, for a very long time,’ Leila thought as she watched Aurianna.

"So I wonder what are you gonna do when the hero is summoned?" Leila asked with an eerie smile, and Aurianna glared at her.

She walked up to Leila and held by her battle suit, "Why did you ask me that?"

"To be honest, you’re quite bright for someone who went through that, but I’d expect no less from you. You’re my sister, after all. And the fact you haven’t experienced the world yet would have been irritating if you fretted over this small matter," Leila said, and Aurianna grinded her teeth and held a revolver before Leila’s head.

"Small? Leila, don’t fucking piss me off!!" Aurianna yelled in rage.

"I won’t," Leila smirked, " I just wonder what you would do to that Hero when he and his crew are summoned."

"I would obviously kill them!"

"No, no," Leila disappeared from Aurianna’s grip and appeared behind her.

"What??"

"You don’t kill them, you make them suffer, then kill them. You must plan a spectacular death for those bastards and make them beg for death. And you will feel the true joy from killing them!" Leila said with a wide grin that made Aurianna tremble for a moment and giggle.

"Chi, chi, chi chi chi, I kinda like you better, Leila."

"Your laugh sure is weird," Leila muttered as she stared at Aurianna covering her mouth and her hands.

"Don’t make fun of my laugh!!" Aurianna reprimanded Leila.

"But I’m really glad you said that," Aurianna gave Leila a happy smile.

"It’s not such a big deal," Leila waved her hand dismissively.

"It is," Aurianna clenched her chest and knelt down, "Ever since I was young I was always being told to forgive others, regardless of what they did to you, and not let it control your heart. That a weak person seeks revenge and a strong person forgives and forgets. That you shouldn’t hate a person who hurt you." Tears streamed from Aurianna’s eyes as she looked at Leila, "But the hatred I felt that day, I wanted to kill myself but not before taking those bastards down with me!" Aurianna slammed her hand into a wall, causing it to shatter.

Leila sat down on a rock beside her and nodded, "It’s indeed a foolish quote, well, to me, of course. You have every right to be angry. Do not resist your suffering, embrace it and let it fuel you to strive for your goals, let it make you a better version of who you are!" Leila said coldly.

"Leila..."

Leila then bit her lips before saying, "Don’t you ever forgive someone who destroys your happiness and your life. Don’t forgive someone who doesn’t regret their actions. Don’t forgive bastards who trample over you, don’t forgive anyone who takes everything from you! Never let yourself be weak! Forgiveness? Yes, that’s allowed, but not to those I mentioned earlier. They deserve the worst punishment. You have every right to get revenge. And when you have your revenge, do it with relish and enjoy every once of it!" Leila rambled with an evil smile.

"Chi chi chi chi chi, I understand Leila," Aurianna laughed and looked relieved. "I guess we understand each other a bit."

"Yes I can understand your pain," Leila uttered, "Whenever your heart aches mine too would ache, and I didn’t understand until I met Eva." Leila clenched her chest while saying this but Aurianna looked at her with a dumb expression, causing Leila to sigh.

"Now that you know my dark past can you tell me yours?" Aurianna asked with sparkling eyes.

"I’d Rather not," Leila shook her head and got up from the rock she was on. She then continued walking and Aurianna followed beside her.

"Puff mmmmm, I demand you tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me," Aurianna whined as she grabbed Leila’s leg.

"Stop throwing a fit Aurianna that’s childish," Leila bent down and pulled Aurianna’s cheeks.

"But you won’t tell me about yourself," Aurianna pouted and crossed her arms.

"There’s no need for you to know."

"I wanna know," Aurianna grabbed Leila’s hands and then felt her mind go blank.

"Arghh!!!" Aurianna started to scream hysterically as she clenched her head in pain. Tears flowed down her face and her pupils darted everywhere.

"Hey Aurianna, are you okay?!!" Leila asked anxiously, holding Aurianna’s face. But the fear on Aurianna’s face didn’t go away until a few minutes later.

Aurianna got up slowly and threw up at her side. She wiped her mouth and stared at Leila intensely, and Leila understood.

"Did you see it?" Leila asked and Aurianna shook her head, "Did you see my memories?! Don’t lie to me!!" Leila yelled and grabbed Aurianna by the shoulder. Aurianna had a look of guilt and slowly nodded.

"I had a faint vision. I didn’t mean to!" Aurianna clenched her palms. "And to think I cried for a petty case like mine."

Leila shook her head, "Your case isn’t petty, so don’t worry about it. We would probably receive more visions like this about each other’s lives."

"That sounds creepy," Aurianna said with a gloomy expression.

"But it’s beneficial, maybe we can learn skills from each other," Leila held out her hand to Aurianna and she took it and balanced herself.

Aurianna looked at Leila and gritted her teeth as she thought, ’I can understand why she’s so strong. She had nothing and grew stronger. Yet, I had everything and was foolish enough not to use it.’

Aurianna pointed her finger at Leila and yelled, "Leila I promise you I will grow as strong as you, and one day I’ll take the White Diamond gem from you and become the true White Diamond."

"You said that already," Leila replied bluntly.

"I’m just reminding you," Aurianna yelled back.

"I’d wait for that day then," Leila chuckled as they continued to walk.

"We’re finally here," Leila proclaimed and Aurianna watched down below to see a lower city with tall skyscrapers and broken down modern vehicles. The buildings seemed more modernized and well-built, however they were covered with moss and skeleton bones of all kinds of monsters. What Aurianna noticed the most was the large trees that had eyes at certain parts of their trunks and on them were eggshell balls around it in groups, similar to the one she saw before reaching here.

"A nest?" Aurianna wondered and Leila nodded.

"There are a lot more Void Reavers here," Aurianna grimaced at the thought of fighting so many Void Reavers. ’The large batch was already a hassle now this! Well, it’s better than being with that crazy death Harpy, Carol.’ Goose bumps appeared on Aurianna’s skin, which sent a cold shiver down her spine.

"Chickening out?" Leila asked. ’I wonder how she can be so casual when she looked like she was gonna have a panic attack. A few minutes ago.’ she thought.

"Well these Void Reavers are more buff and scary looking than the former ones," Aurianna gulped as she observed the new batch of Void Reavers.

Unlike the old batch, these Void Reavers had scythe-like features on their hands, legs, and back. Some of them even had legs that looked like a scythe. What’s more, they were four times taller than the others, almost twelve feet tall and their bodies were more muscular and looked tough. In addition, they had teeth that shimmered when light rays passed through them.

"I wonder why they keep patrolling around?" Aurianna asked nervously as she and Leila crouched down and observed them.

"Maybe they are protecting something, this is their nest after all," Leila answered.

"Fair point," Aurianna nodded.

"So are you ready?" Leila asked in a provocative tone, and Aurianna pondered.

"Fine I am, just don’t interfere with my kills. I’m aiming to get stronger than you." Aurianna warned Leila.

"Sure," Leila smiled and got up. She then summoned a long spear in her hands and dashed toward the Void Reavers.

"You were supposed to give the signal to start," Aurianna sighed and summoned her guns with blades attached to them and also dashed towards the Void Reavers.
