Aurianna looked up at the dark blue sky as stars twinkled across it, wondering ’Oh the two moons are already out?’

Moonlight illuminates the dark front gates as it reveals the carriage and four knights waiting for her to arrive.

When the breeze picks up and blows through her hair, Aurianna feels the cool air around her, making her shiver slightly.

As soon as she reached the carriage, Jenna carried her inside. In the carriage, they sat down together and rode toward the palace. Mavis’s mansion, getting smaller and smaller.

"Princess, was everything okay in the mansion? It seemed so quiet," Klark asked interested as he gazed at Aurianna.

In response to Klark’s question, Aurianna smiled and said, "Don’t worry, everything is fine."

"Mavis is dead, right?" Roland asked Aurianna.

Aurianna smiled evilly, causing the knights to shiver a bit, "Of course she is. As if I would have let someone live with perverted thoughts about me."

Aurianna looked at her fingernails and continued, "Don’t worry, I wasn’t the one who killed her. The slaves and children in her mansion did."

"Mere slaves dare to touch a noble?" Remi seethed and Aurianna glared at her, causing her to calm down.

"Why can’t they kill a disgusting pedophile who likes to play with children?" Aurianna spat and Remi looked down.

"No one should go to that mansion. Your duty is to escort me home," Aurianna stated sternly, and the knights nodded.

Aurianna’s eyes wandered over to the buildings passing by the window beside her.

She looked at the beautiful kingdom from a carriage window, enjoying the scenery.

As the carriage continued, she noticed people bowing their heads when they saw her carriage. It made her heart feel like it was being squeezed, and felt like she couldn’t breathe. While trying to close her eyes, she was reminded of the day when she left the kingdom to fight the demons with the knights.

Aurianna opened her eyes immediately, her lovely face now filled with a frown. She watched the streets bustling with people walking, whilst others used carriages. She noticed flying boards zooming past her every few minutes as she observed teenagers riding them. Her eyes were glued to the unique structure of the flying boards.

Watching teenagers riding flying boards down the street, she notices that it is a very busy street.

’For the first time since returning, I actually looked at the kingdom. I didn’t pay attention in the afternoon,’ Aurianna thought to herself, looking at the buildings. ’I can’t deny it’s beautiful.’

The buildings were tall and impressive; some were floating and seemed to have a strange structure, while others were normal. They lined both sides of the road, providing businesses and homes for all manner of folks. Shops sell clothing, jewelry, souvenirs, groceries, books, magical weapons, and other goods. Restaurants offer delicious food, while bars cater to everyone’s tastes. People walk down the sidewalks, talking and laughing.

From afar, Aurianna could see the top of a massive building with a statue of Paige being illuminated by a pink light. It towered above everything else.

Unlike what you would expect to see in most kingdoms like crime, poverty, homelessness, and pollution. There were only a few. While more people wore expensive-looking clothes, a few looked rugged and unkempt.

Aurianna giggled at the businessmen yelling and pedestrians hurrying past them, ignoring their cries of "Buy outstanding magic tools!"

Knights patrolled the area and some even played with civilians.

’If I hadn’t experienced the past, I would have believed this was truly a peaceful and lovely kingdom to live in. But all this laughter and happiness just makes my blood boil.’ Aurianna’s eyes turned cold as she looked at the people.

After a few minutes, Aurianna’s eyes become heavy, and she slowly drifted off to sleep.

______________

Girsal sat at his desk with a book open before him. His eyes were focused on the book. He had been reading for hours when he heard someone enter the room. Looking up from his book, Girsal saw a man covered entirely in black clothing. His red eyes glowed as he stared at King Girsal with his hands at his back.

His eyes were fixed on the man in front of him. "Good morning," King Girsal said, politely, placing his book down and smiling at the man before him.

"Good morning, Your Majesty," he replied curtly.

"Any information on Aurianna? Bruce," he inquires. "What happened today with her?"

"It seems that the princess surprises me more and more with every passing day," Bruce replies.

King Girsal raises an eyebrow. "Oh, I’d like to hear."

"Mavis is dead. And Aurianna was the culprit," Bruce declared, and King Girsal’s lips curled up.

"Aurianna killed Mavis?" King Girsal asks, a bit surprised.

"Yes, your majesty, I saw her do it with my own eyes. She didn’t do it directly, but she used some strange weapon," Bruce tried to explain.

"Strange weapon? Show me," King Girsal asked, intrigued by this strange weapon Bruce was using so much effort trying to explain to him.

Bruce said nervously, "Unfortunately, I’m unable to record this weapon with the recorder. Every time I attempted to record it, it always cracked. It was as though the weapon could not be recorded or something was blocking it from being recorded," Bruce said.

"That’s interesting, so the slaves?"

"They all escaped. Some Floops were part of them, and I believed it was a wise idea."

Upon hearing this, King Girsal got up and patted Bruce on the shoulder, and said, "You made the right decision. The Floops would use any small matter as an excuse to start a war. They love battles, so even killing an unimportant child from their race would result in them sending their most powerful fighters to wipe us out."

"Your majesty, do you fear their power?" Bruce asked, raising an eyebrow.

King Girsal sighed and looked up at Bruce, "To be honest I do, I’m not foolish enough to provoke everyone. However, I believe cooperating with them would bring us a lot of benefits."

King Girsal then walked back to his seat and took out a piece of paper and a pencil and slid it toward Bruce, "Regarding the strange weapon you spoke of, can you draw it?"

"Let me try," Bruce said, and took the pen. As he was about to draw, he started coughing through his mask and immediately clenched his head. King Girsal watched him silently. Bruce struggled to get up and took the pencil again, but he paused.

"I can’t remember," Bruce muttered as his hands trembled.

King Girsal watched his eyes and sighed, "Enough, it seems something doesn’t want you to show me. I’ll soon find out about it myself."

It was at this moment that King Girsal turned his attention to the knight who stood before the door, and said, "Come."

The knight immediately walked towards King Girsal and bowed to him. King Girsal instructed, "Tell Queen Amber that Huasae, Ralph, and Aurianna should come to the throne room with them tomorrow."

"Also give orders to the others to clean up Mavis’s mansion," King Girsal added, and the Knight nodded and left the room.

As Bruce interrupted King Girsal, he said, "Your Majesty, I have a few more things to say.".

"Oh, continue," King Girsal said, focusing his attention on Bruce.

"Aurianna seems different and not different at the same time. I’ve been watching her since she was young, and it’s almost as though she has two personalities," Bruce said nervously.

King Girsal asked, "Like Blade?" and Bruce replied, "Yes."

"Yes, your majesty, but it seems like both of her personalities are merging," Bruce added.

"I see."

"Continue to keep an eye on her," King Girsal glanced up at Bruce, who nodded and disappeared from the room as soon as he said that.

"To think she’s growing smart at such an age. Marvelous," King Girsal thought to himself. His green eyes seemed to glow as he played with his pen.

"I better place an insignia on her, so she doesn’t leave my control."

Aurianna sat down on a luxurious couch and tapped the table with her finger, looking at a maid. She wore a honey-colored flair dress. She looked down at the maid kneeling on the ground before her nervously waiting as though she had something to say but she couldn’t.

"Just say what you have in mind," Aurianna said and the maid straightened up, a look of relief on her face.

"Princess, as you’re done eating, shall we go and meet your father?" The maid bowed deeply, as she slowly looked up to face Aurianna.

Aurianna stared at the maid for a while before she replied with an "mhm," and nodded at the maid. The maid bowed again and smiled at Aurianna awkwardly.

Aurianna got down from her seat and raised her hands. The maid knew exactly what she wanted and began to carry Aurianna. Even though the princess was soft, smelled nice, and was cute, the way she stared coldly at the maid was enough to cancel all the fluffy thoughts in her head.

The maid carried Aurianna all the way outside of her mansion and towards an emerald carriage. She then helped Aurianna climb in before it drove towards the main palace.

"He’s probably gonna ask me about what happened at Mavis’ mansion." Aurianna muttered as she looked out of the carriage window to see the main palace.

She then turned to Eva, who was sitting on the opposite side of the carriage, and asked, "Eva can you please cut out the parts in the recording crystal of me using my weapons?"

"I’ve already done that."

"Wow, I’m impressed." Aurianna said, surprised. "You’re quite fast at these things."

"I’m always thinking ahead, little girl," Eva stated and patted Aurianna on the head.

Aurianna frowned at Eva since she was a bit uncomfortable with being called a little girl, despite being a little girl. Physically at least.

Once she reached the main palace she got off the carriage to see several maids, butlers, and knights aligned on either side of the hallway, immediately bowing as she walked past them.

Aurianna looked up ahead to see that Queen Amber was already standing there, but she wasn’t that surprised. After all, with her being a Queen, she too received a summon from King Girsal. But today was going to be something special.

She took a deep breath and looked back up at Queen Amber, who was smiling down at her.

"Aurianna dear, come walk with me." Queen Amber exclaimed, stretching her hand towards Aurianna.

Queen Amber wore a luxurious black gown with flutter arms. The gown tightened her waist revealing all of her curves and flowed to the ground, so that even her shoes couldn’t be seen. Her dress revealed a bit of cleavage, upon which sat a beautiful sapphire necklace.

Aurianna was about to frown at the sight but maintained a pure smiling face and grabbed Queen Amber’s hand as they walked side by side. Even though she despised Queen Amber and wanted to kill her, the reality of Queen Amber being a Chaos Human made her hold back her hatred for now. Even if she managed to kill Queen Amber, without enough power to back her up she would just be slaughtered by the Divine Knights.

"Ooo, this palace is grander than I expected." Eva praised as she floated around Aurianna and admired the scenery.

"Indeed, despite currently being a small kingdom, Sandeph sure is rich." Aurianna thought as she too admired her surroundings.

Aurianna studied the halls she and Amber were walking through. They were wide enough for over a hundred people to be gathered there. Several knights in platinum, gold, and silver armor were stationed at every pillar.

Aurianna looked above to see floating chandeliers moving left and right as they illuminated the ceiling revealing an emerald symbol with three swords stabbed into it.

After a short while of walking, Aurianna felt a bit anxious as she looked at the doors to the throne room. Over thirty divine knights were standing before the door and immediately knelt down and bowed as Queen Amber walked towards them. The large doors were opened wide by the knights, enough for both Queen Amber and Aurianna to walk through easily.

The throne room was a great hall with many crystal columns on each side. In between each column stood a statue of Paige.

The paintings of angels around Paige on the crystal ceiling. The angels were brushing Paige’s hair as she held a flower in her hands. All displayed in the middle of the ceiling. There were beautiful magical lights that floated around, while the reflection of the room and the people inside could be seen on the marble floor.

The grand throne of marble sat atop a balcony overlooking the throne hall and was adjoined by two plain, but comfortable crystal seats with soft cushions for the King’s direct family. It was covered in hundreds of elaborate engravings, and fixed on each of the ornate legs was a ruby snake. The fluffy pillows were a dark lilac and these too had been adorned with golden margins. Carved on the throne’s back protruded two crystal wings of an angel on each side.

A wine rug ran from the throne down through the center and split into two paths leading out while banners with burnished borders swung gently from the walls. On the banners was an image of an emerald crystal with three swords stabbing into it.

Aurianna looked forward to seeing Husae and Ralph staying there and before them sitting next to King Girsal were a few concubines and some of the princesses and princes.

Husae appeared as a handsome teenager with ivory skin and a pair of light blue eyes like Queen Amber. He also had long black hair that resembled King Girsal’s. He wore a red and gold shirt with black trousers and he stood upright and waved at Aurianna who also waved back.

"What the hell are you doing here brat?" Ralph spat glaring at Aurianna who stood next to him and Queen Amber moved a bit forward.

He wore a plain white and black suit, his dark blue hair tied up neatly. But the glare on his face ruined his handsome appearance.
