Saintess? Not Anymore! I'd Rather be a Destroyer-Chapter 293 - 230: be careful
"Iris, are you sure you won’t attack us?" he pressed, his usually calm voice tinged with nervousness. "Because, honestly, I don’t think any of us could ever stand against you."
Iris tilted her head, her gaze calm. "Don’t trouble yourself. Iris won’t address that matter anymore. There’s no point in it now. And no, Iris won’t attack you. There’s no need. But..." She sighed, her shoulders drooping slightly. "Iris is getting tired of fighting all these Regals."
Aurianna’s face lit up with a wide grin. "Hehe, my big sister is so cool!"
Iris blinked at the affectionate declaration before allowing a subtle smile to break through her usual stoicism. "Big sister," she repeated quietly, almost to herself.
Aurianna tilted her head with excitement. "Iris, one day, we’ll meet you in the real world, right?"
"Yes," Iris answered firmly. "But first, Iris must get rid of as many Regals as she can."
The group fell silent, the weight of her words sinking in. Each of them exchanged glances, wondering the same thing: ’How strong is she exactly?’
"Iris will take her leave first. You guys should get to know each other," Iris stated, her gaze lingering on Leila for a moment before she vanished.
"Wait, what?! I barely got to chat with you, big sister!" Leila cried, her voice filled with disappointment.
"It’s not good for her to stay around us for too long," Gilgamesh explained, his tone serious.
______
"Did you enjoy talking with them?" Alka asked as they floated through the desolate land, the remnants of the Regal army that came after them was scattered around them.
"Yes, I did," Iris replied, her voice distant.
"How are the other Gemaris like?" Kaguya inquired, his curiosity piqued.
"They are quite interesting, but they bore Iris. However, Iris’s sisters are adorable. They’ve grown so much," Iris stated, a warm smile gracing her lips.
Alka couldn’t shake the unease that crept over her. ’Her smile makes me feel uncomfortable,’ she thought to himself.
"Don’t be mean, Alka," Iris chided gently.
"I’m sorry," Alka apologized.
"Iris wants to quickly get rid of all the Regals so that she can make a beautiful planet just for her and her sisters," Iris explained, her smile returning.
"What about the other Gemaris?" Kaguya asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes, them too," Iris replied, her expression turning blank.
"Won’t they be an obstacle in the future, though?" Kaguya pressed, his tone cold.
"Yes, they will. But Iris doesn’t care," Iris admitted, her hand tracing the edge of her katana, which transformed into a scythe.
"What’s the purpose of having future sight if you won’t act on it?" Alka asked, her annoyance growing.
"Iris shall never harm her sisters," Iris stated calmly.
"Hmm, alright," Alka shrugged, choosing to let the matter drop.
"Mother, I have to kill her. Before she kills my sisters," Iris declared, her voice cold.
"Find Mother," Iris commanded, closing her eyes. When she opened them, a sinister grin spread across her face. "So that’s where Mother is hiding," she chuckled.
"How do you want to kill her?" Alka asked, an evil smile mirroring Iris’s.
"Well, going to the past to kill her would be bothersome. Mother is smarter than that, so I’ll attack her in this timeline," Iris concluded.
"Hmm, so what do I do with these worlds?" Iris asked, her gaze sweeping across the worlds that stretched out before them.
"You can just destroy them. After all, you said you have a new plan and most people on those planets have been eaten by the Regals," Kaguya suggested, her tone indifferent.
"Oh yes, the merging of all the dimensions to form an entirely new dimension and new galaxies and universes around the Gemaris home world," Iris stated, a sinister grin spreading across her face.
"Master, are you really going to capture back the home world?!" A crystal-like figure, a black Sapphire named Ignus, exclaimed excitedly.
"Well, you’ve been pestering Iris to do that. So, Iris has considered your suggestion," Iris replied, a hint of amusement in her voice. Ignus stared at her, her eyes wide with joy.
"Master!" Ignus cried, overwhelmed with gratitude.
"But master, since you now possess time magic, you can actually fix everything. You can bring back the former Gemaris!" Ignus suggested, her voice filled with hope.
"No. There’s no need for the old generation any longer," Iris stated coldly, her gaze turning icy. Ignus trembled under her piercing stare.
"But master," Ignus tried to protest.
"Who’s your Gemaris, me, Iris, or the former black Gemaris?" Iris demanded, her voice sharp.
"It’s... you," Ignus replied nervously.
"If I bring them back, the new generation would disappear. Iris doesn’t want that at all," Iris explained, her tone unwavering.
"I understand, master," Ignus said, bowing her head in submission.
"Good. Now, to deal with these leftover Regals," Iris said coldly, turning her attention to a group of terrified Regals. Most of the Regal army had been eradicated by her, leaving only a few survivors. Even the powerful Rank 1s had fallen victim to her overwhelming power.
"Please spare us," they begged, trembling in fear.
"Let me ask you. When you were enslaving and massacring other races, did you heed their cries?" Iris asked, a cruel smile playing on her lips. "No, rather, they became your food source. And you guys are just my food source," she said, a sinister chuckle escaping her lips.
"Now, crush," Iris commanded, her hand clenching tightly. With a sickening crunch, all the Regals, both living and dead, were crushed into a bloody pulp, forming a large, pulsating crystal ball. The ball then shattered into countless smaller orbs, which Iris tossed to Kaguya, Alka, and Ignus.
"You can eat this. It will help you grow stronger and gain their skills," Iris explained, her voice devoid of emotion.
’Master Iris. At this rate, she has the potential to actually get rid of all the Regals in the Dimensions and even match up to the Supreme Deity,’ Ignus thought, a surge of excitement coursing through her.
Iris raised her hand in the sky and in less than a few seconds a deafening explosion erupted, obliterating nearby planets and sucking the debris into her newly formed black hole.
________
"I wish I could talk more with Iris," Aurianna sighed, nibbling on a pastry.
"She seems busy, though," Leila added, disappointed as well.
"Yeah," Aurianna agreed.
"I still advise you to avoid Iris. There’s a reason why the system warned us about her so much," Gilgamesh cautioned.
"She seems nice, though," Aurianna countered.
"Yeah, I guess, since we met the real Iris instead of her Death alt," Gilgamesh replied. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
"Hmm, so what do we even talk about anyway now that we’re all here?" LuXie asked, breaking the silence.
"No idea," Yuli admitted.
"It’s not like we’re friends anyway. It’s literally a competition," Adam pointed out.
"True, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be friends. We’ll need each other in the future, after all our race can’t reproduce. So we only have each other," Jake argued.
"But I heard we have some sort of subordinates, and not all of them died," Ciel interjected.
"Yes, they are on their way to find you all. The stronger you get, the stronger they become. And as long as you’re alive, they’ll never die unless you want them to," Gilgamesh explained.
"Still though, I wonder what her powers are, Iris I mean. Because the way she spoke so confidently, I believe she actually has an ability that can allow her to rewrite someone’s entire identity," Keira mused.
"Could be, and that’s a very dangerous ability," Gilgamesh stated, a serious frown creasing his brow.
"It seems like you know something but you’re not telling us," Aurianna accused.
"I actually do. I met Iris when she was a kid. That child is a pure monster, even my mother, who created her, feared her," Gilgamesh revealed.
"Wait, so you’re siblings?!" Huns exclaimed, surprised.
"Actually, yes," Gilgamesh confirmed.
’Wait, does that mean he’s our brother?!’ Aurianna realized, her eyes widening.
"Iris was an extremely smart child. But she always pretended to be naive. I never understood why she did that until I realized that she was trying to act like a normal person. She probably felt like an anomaly with the way people stared at her," Gilgamesh explained.
"How much of an anomaly was she?" Kazuki asked, curious.
"A once normal world, similar to your planets, was evolved to a highly advanced technological society in three years for our entire world. She’s a genius, and whenever someone didn’t act the way she wanted them to, she would just stare at them and cause them to disappear without a trace," Gilgamesh revealed, his voice filled with fear.
"I was so scared of her that I asked her to erase myself from her mind as her brother, and she simply did that. I regret it, but it was better that way," Gilgamesh admitted.
"I don’t care, Iris is still my big sister, humph!" Aurianna declared stubbornly.
"Just be careful around her," Gilgamesh warned.
"Is this meeting over now? I would like to leave," Huns stated, clearly impatient.
"Just simply walk into the mist," Gilgamesh replied, pointing towards the mist surrounding them.
"But first, can I ask how you all are getting stronger? I’d like to grow faster too!" Yuli inquired, her curiosity piqued.
"I eat people," Aurianna admitted bluntly.
"Same," LuXie and Leila echoed.
"Same for me," Adam added.
"What the hell? Is there no other way?" Yuli exclaimed, her face twisted in disgust.
"You can eat monsters as well, but it’s way slower," Aurianna explained.
"Dammit, that’s just horrible," Yuli muttered, her stomach churning.
"I doubt there’s a need for morals when it comes to getting stronger," Leila stated, her voice cold.
