Chapter 160: Chapter 146: Explanation

Aurianna walked away from the battlefield, making her way towards the Sandeph army. The barrier that was previously there was removed so she could easily pass through.

Her white crystal knights followed her towards the army, drawing attention from everyone around and also their alert gazes.

"Hey, Round Table can you guys shrink or something? You’re scaring the army," Aurianna quipped nonchalantly to her knights.

"We can do that, master," Queen responded with a bow and she shrunk her body to that of a human. However, she was still taller than normal since she and the others stood at seven feet tall in their shrunking forms.

[ The Second Round is going to start, bring your armies forward! ] The angel of war announced, prompting the knights of both armies to move forward.

[ Three hundred thousand knights from the Sandeph army and two hundred thousand knights from the Infinite Nation! Now let the war begin! ]

"Oh, mother and aunties are fighting now," Aurianna stated as she observed the battle.

"I’m so tired, someone should bring me a chair," Aurianna ordered but none if the servants dared to move. Aurianna turned around and she noticed the hateful and fearful glares coming from everyone.

"How bothersome." Aurianna conjured a chair made of white crystal, plopped down, and rested her chin on her arm.

"I wonder, why is everyone so quiet? We just won the first part of the war, and the second part is about to begin. Why not cheer to lift up the morale of those fighting?" Aurianna asked and her voice could be heard by everyone.

"Seems that they are glaring at you!" Nia cheekily remarked. "Eh, master, can I kill them too?"

’Can you beat Girsal?’ Aurianna asked telepathically.

"The tough one?" Nia asked.

’Yeah,’ Aurianna comfirmed.

"Nope!" Nia shook her head.

"Then forget about it.’

"I wonder who gave you knights the right to glare at your beloved princess?" Aurianna mockingly asked as she stood on her chair, facing the few people behind her.

"You....!!" A group of knights seethed as they glared at her angrily.

"Aurianna Vanluad!!" King Girsal called out as his voice boomed. He walked towards her and the ground beneath him cracked with every step he took. Soon he was standing infront her.

"Yes, dearest father," Aurianna chirped, got down from her chair and gave him a cute curtsy. "I won the war, so my punishment gets retracted right?" She asked. "Also, where are the knights I fought with?" Aurianna feigned ignorance despite knowing what happened to them.

"They are dead," King Girsal answered plainly.

"Ohh, did that big witch lady kill them?" Aurianna asked innocently.

"Stop pretending to be clueless, I’m aware you know what has happened to them," King Girsal said as he glared down at her.

"Ehh what happened to the knights. I’m completely unaware! So could you enlighten me father?" Aurianna asked.

"Your golem killed them," King Girsal stated before he gave the golems a cold stare, especially Ruigo.

"Ruigo is such a good servant. Are you sure she’d do that?" Aurianna provocatively questioned, irking King Girsal and causing a frown in his face.

"Aurianna Vanluad, how dare you?!" Duke Oswald yelled angrily as he approached, grabbing her by the collar and lifting her.

"I suggest you let go if you want to keep that arm," Aurianna said coldly, glaring at Duke Oswald, who nervously eyed the golems that had surrounded him.

Oswald gritted his teeth and reluctantly placed her down.

"Such a meanie!" Aurianna huffed. "I need new clothes! My dress is ruined. Surprised the church’s battle clothing lasted this long," she muttered to herself.

"Duke Oswald, calm down." King Girsal advised as Oswald clenched his fists, tears streaming down his face.

"How can I calm down? This wasn’t part of the plan, and because of her, Duke Antya and Melissa are dead!" Oswald accused, pointing at Aurianna. "How can she wear such a happy expression after killing 100,000 people?!" he yelled angrily.

"As you were all busy rejoicing, I was struggling to stay alive. Look at my hands and legs. I even have one eye missing, and I was already in so much pain. Ruigo’s pill was able to make me feel better!" Aurianna stated.

King Girsal spoke, his words sharp and cold as he confronted Aurianna about the origins of a pill she had ingested. "That pill was made from the flesh and blood of my people. The knights who fought with you!"

Aurianna, responded with a smile, acknowledging the source of the pill in her belly. "Oh, so that’s where they went. In my belly, the pill was so sweet though, I loved it!"

Oswald, a sense of disbelief etched on his face, questioned Aurianna’s lack of guilt or empathy. "Don’t you care?"

"Why should I care?" Aurianna retorted, prompting Oswald to grit his teeth hearing her words.

"Revive them," King Girsal commanded.

Aurianna shook her head nonchalantly. "Can’t do. If I don’t have a body, I can’t revive them," she explained casually.

Oswald, refusing to accept her explanation, insisted, "Aren’t you a Saintess? You can!"

Aurianna revealed her true class with a mischievous grin, "Who said I am a Saintess? My class is a Mage and a Blade Dancer. There’s no Saintess here!"

The revelation shocked those present. Momo nervously questioned Aurianna, "Then how do you explain yourself using a Saintess’ power, or a summoner’s power and even a mage?"

Aurianna, still grinning, played off the confusion. "Oh, I was? I was always able to do this. Did you think I was actually a Saintess? Well, I don’t mind being one, but I’d rather not be a Saintess of Paige."

Oswald, angered by Aurianna’s apparent lack of remorse, demanded, "Aurianna needs to be punished for this. Duke Melissa and Antya! How can a child your age not care about the value of your people’s life?"

Aurianna remained defiant. "My, my you wanna punish a little girl like myself. When I did nothing wrong. My life comes first before anyone else’s!"

"Also, it was Ruigo who killed them! Not me!" Aurianna quickly passed the blame to Ruigo who eyed her and Aurianna avoided her gaze.

King Girsal, unfazed, emphasized, "The summoner is responsible for the actions of their summons. It wasn’t like you killed the knights of the enemy but rather our knights, your people. It’s unforgivable. If I don’t set an example for you, others in our ranks would think they can just cross us."

"You ungrateful pieces of shit," Aurianna responded with vulgar language.

"How dare you speak like that before the King?!!" Her words incited further disapproval from the knights present. King Girsal silenced them with a gesture, allowing Aurianna to express her frustrations. "I risked my fucking life to fight against an Arc Human! If not for me all those knights would be dead! Dead! I was the one who revived them with my magic, if not for me reviving them I would still have my eye!" She yelled angrily as she glared at them.

"Maybe, I should have just let them all die!!" Aurianna spat out with a maniacal expression.

"You...." Oswald, angered by her callousness, seethed while Momo looked on nervously.

"Who the hell knew there would be an Arc Human hidden in their army? In addition, a witch!! And you expected there would be no sacrifices? What delusional land is up in your brain?" Aurianna asked as she pointed at her head.

"Aurianna, be quiet," King Girsal ordered, unleashing some pressure that made her tremble.

Defying the order, Aurianna continued to protest. "No, I won’t be quiet. I won’t just sit here and deal with this bullshit!"

"What’s wrong if they all died in order to heal me? I revived them! So they owe me their lives!! I sacrificed my arms, my legs and my eye for the war so that I can come back alive!! And you think I’ll just be quiet and let you come and give me a freaking lecture?!" She snapped.

"Just think about it, if not for my golems none of them would have survived! Not even Duke Antya and Duke Melissa. So what’s wrong with them being killed!! They even struggled against an Arc Humans, so it was obvious that if I didn’t heal their injuries they would be dead women!!" Aurianna argued defiantly.

Oswald, appalled by her attitude, accused "How dare you mock them? What you did is calls for a punishment of treason!"

"Go ahead, try to kill me! Just remember, I’ll summon as many golems as I can before I die. Let’s see how you deal with that!" Aurianna threatened with a cocky smile.

’Aurianna, you actually can’t summon more with the state you’re in,’ Eva interjected.

’Shus, shus! Can’t you see I’m bluffing here?’ Aurianna retorted in her mind.

Aurianna continued, "When this war started, it was expected that there would be huge losses because we were going against the Infinite Nation. Their skin is harder than any normal metal. But who would have known 100,000 of us would have to fight 200,000 of them? And you expect the army to fucking win? One of them was enough to take down 50 of our men, but our knights managed to prevail and it was all because of me! Not Duke Melissa, not Duke Antya or aunt Momo. Me!! I was the one! Without my magic our defeat was clearly evident!!" She yelled, frustration etched across her face.

"You underestimated their defence, father. Even the shoes you gave me could not fucking cut through them easily!" She said as she looked at King Girsal who looked at her with a displeased expression

"They tricked us and just admit that you fell for it! They had High Humans, Chaos Humans and an Arc Human who suppressed their level and hid among the army, making your selection in the first round was wrong! Even you, an Arc Human, couldn’t detect it!"

"Aurianna, stop this at once!" Momo intervened, raising her voice.

"Please be quiet when I’m speaking, Aunt Momo," Aurianna shot back, turning her attention back to King Girsal.

"I revived them! I healed their damn injuries. Did you not see when Duke Antya’s leg was broken? When Duke Melissa’s arms were burned by the Arc Bard? I used my magic to heal every damn knight! And I tried my best to differentiate them from the Infinite Nation’s army. Do you know how hard that is? How much concentration it requires? Imagine healing the enemy?"

"Don’t you know what would happen to a mage when they don’t have enough mana?"

"They become weak." Momo answered.

"Yes, and I had to summon my golems to save my life and since I didn’t have enough mana, it cost me my limbs. Haven’t you realised that I’m not healing at all?!!" Aurianna spat, and King Girsal examined her crystal body parts more closely.

’She’s actually not healing,’ he thought.

’Aurianna actually that’s not the reason why you lost your body parts,’ Eva stated, eyeing Aurianna.

’Oh, I’m trying to make this emotional!’ Aurianna replied.

"Are you done whining?" King Girsal cut in coldly, releasing a massive pressure that crushed Aurianna’s body, causing her to fall flat on the ground.

"I’d advise you golems not to attack. I’m not going to kill her," King Girsal declared, surrounded by the knights of Aurianna’s round table, their weapons poised at his neck.
