Chapter 361: System Inspection

With the effect ascertained, Ezra wondered if he should send it to others too, before deciding against it.

’I’ll do that once I’m done checking the other abilities’

Next, Ezra opened the [Dominion] function.

{Dominion}

> Galaxies

> Star zones

> Planets

Ezra taps open the Galaxies section.

{Galaxies}

-Halostar galaxy

Opening the star zone section next, he was bombarded with a long list.

{Star Zones}

-A1

-A2

-A3

-A4

-A5

-A6

-A7

-A8

-A9

-A10...

Quickly getting to the bottom of the list, he finds A75 to be last on the list

"What are these letters" Ezra asked.

"It would be too much to name each star zone separately, so I numbered them like such" the core replied.

Ezra nodded, it made sense.

Onto the next.

This time, he was bombarded with a list at least ten times that of the Star Zone.

{Planets}

Peridin

Gerockk

Wisva

Mirin

Orion

Crallista

Savur

Zikex

Kobran

Jixon...

Surprisingly, this one’s all had names.

"Hmm, they’re all named?"

<Yes> the core replies. <I named them long ago as a pastime activity>

"Oh, okay"

Having already checked the [Subordinates] functions, Ezra skipped right to the [Renown] section.

In all honesty, this one was the one he was most curious about.

Whilst the others were self-explanatory and straightforward, this one was not.

He also wanted an answer to the question nagging at him about this function.

’Why is it a whole function?’

What was so important about renown for it to be placed on the same level as the rest of the main functions?

[Renown]:: To ascend as a sovereign is to be a legend, to be a legend is to be renowned and to be renowned is to be an achiever.

Big achievements are looked upon favorably by the universe. For each one, an adequate blessing is granted alongside a relevant title.

"Oh? It could do this too?" says Ezra whilst reading through the remarks.

Subsequently, he opens up the others.

[Attributes]:: Here lies the base report of your accumulation of power towards the path of ascension.

[Abilities]:: To each ability is a different path, granted to a sovereign, they ought to do wonders.

[Dominion]:: To every sovereign is their dominion of absolute authority, this universe is yours to rule and yours alone. Rule it as you wish.

[Subordinates]:: As a sovereign, you can have innumerable subjects subordinated to your will. Gather yourself a legion or simply a team of elites worthy of a sovereign, all is by your will.

Well, it wasn’t anything he didn’t already know.

Without delay, he opens up the function.

{Renown}

-Titles

-Achievements

He opens the ’Title’

{Title(s)}

-Champion of the Galaxy

-The First Fledgling Sovereign

-The Ultimate Anomaly

"This was a Title"

Ezra was surprised to see ’The Ultimate Anomaly’ as a Title.

Opening the Galaxy Champion Title to full view, he finds new information beneath it.

[Champion of the Galaxy]

Grade: Galaxy

Base effect: Cultivation speed and effectiveness is increased by a base multiplier of twenty in all areas.

Additional effects: When faced with a stronger foe, you will be aided by the galaxy to overpower your opponent.

Remarks: Within the Halostar galaxy, you are the strongest.

"I see"

This additional effect was the reason the two Rank Three Transcendents weren’t pushed aside during the galaxy’s assimilation and were brought in instead.

The reason the words ’whilst within the galaxy’ were omitted was because, originally, Ezra wasn’t supposed to be able to leave the Halostar galaxy after becoming the champion.

But by placing the galaxy within his soul, he’d basically nullified this restriction by making the galaxy mobile.

Since now, Ezra and the galaxy would move as one.

’What about this?’ wondered Ezra as he pressed his finger on ’Grade’

Sure enough, it expanded to give an explanation.

[Grade]:: This signifies the scale in which the Title is active.

"Hmm...so because this Title’s effects is only within the Halostar galaxy, so it’s galaxy grade?" Ezra wondered out loud.

[Precisely] Zydrax replied.

With that, Ezra moved onto the next Title.

[The First Fledgling Sovereign]

Grade: Cosmic

Effect: Difficulty of cultivation and ability comprehension is halved for all under your rule.

In addition, the chances of your subordinates at producing offspring have been increased proportionally.

Remarks: Bottlenecks in the path of cultivation have become a thing of past for all under your rule, you alone determine their limits.

But what is a sovereign without his subjects? Fill the void of your universe with the offspring of your subjects. The more, the merrier.

Nodding, Ezra noticed an incongruity.

"Wasn’t this Universe grade before?"

He remembered the ’Universe Grade’ boldly written, yet it seemed that somewhere along the way, the grade of his achievement had changed.

"Let’s see...

[Cosmic grade event]:: Across the cosmos, you are the first to achieve such a thing.

Whilst he wasn’t entirely sure, it seemed the grade was upgraded.

Rereading the remark, Ezra intuited that this grade was higher than Universe grade.

’So there was something higher than Universe grade?’

[Yes there was, but this is my first time seeing one]

Another eye-opening fact.

Though startled by the change of grade, Ezra welcomed an upgrade anytime.

He went straight to the last Title.

[The Ultimate Anomaly]

Grade: Universe

Effects: Negates the effect of all sorts of foresight and divination. This effect stretches to those beside you as well.

Remark: As the one who rose through disregarding fate at every turn, you are the most abnormal existence across this universe, the ultimate anomaly.

Your existence nullifies all levels of clairvoyance and divination.

Even the universe cannot determine your fate, neither the fate of those by your side.

"Hmm..." The remarks had him in deep thoughts.

From this, he could infer that there must be a multitude abilities capable of clairvoyance and divination, the likes of which he couldn’t even begin to imagine.

Moreover, with just a bit of thought, he could make out just dangerous such abilities could be in the hands of one’s enemy.

All such abilities had now been rendered useless against him.

’I just dodged a huge heap of trouble, didn’t I?’

The realization had Ezra breathe a sigh of relief, whilst also filing him with trepidation of the Universe.

’Zydrax told me the Universe was vast, but to think I was underestimating it this much-no, I might still be underestimating the vastness even now’

Ezra didn’t know how true his words were.

’Now that I think about it, having a Title of Universe Grade must a massive achievement’ Ezra realized.

’And I even have a cosmic rank, which is even higher! ...although I don’t know how massive exactly...it shouldn’t be common even in the Universe’

Ezra nodded, he felt his deduction should at least be half right.

He felt it couldn’t make sense that Universe Titles, let alone cosmic ones could be attained by just anybody.

With the ’Title’ section thoroughly inspected, Ezra moved on to the ’Achievement’ section.

{Achievement(s)}

-Birth of the First Fledging Sovereign

’Just one?’ Ezra thought, having expected at least two.

Zydrax answered his question.

[Only achievements big enough to warrant rewards will be listed here. I can’t have it littered with useless things]

Ezra shrugged. "Okay"

[Birth of the First Fledging Sovereign]

-Cosmic Grade Event-

Being the first of your kind to be born across all universes, these rewards have been granted to you.

Rewards:

-Universe Seed

-Dimensional Cultivation Manual

-Ability <Universal Concealment>

Remarks: You are the first of your kind created across all universes. Born to a race without progenitors, you are a unique life form, it is up to you to discover where your limits lay.

"Hmm? Wasn’t this also Universe grade before? So this one changed too? It matches, not I’m complaining..."

That concluded his inspection of the system.

No wait, it didn’t.

Ezra already knew what the Universe seed did having used it, so he right onto the cultivation manual.

[Dimension Cultivation]:: With this, one cultivates can cultivate dimensions directly, integrating them into the soul.

Note: This ability has been replaced with <Sovereign’s Cultivation>

From the description, it sounded like <Absolute Induction>, only that he would using it as a cultivation method.

Ezra opened the <Universal Concealment> ability to full view.

<Universal Concealment>:: Standing at the peak of stealth skills, this is an all-encompassing skill designed to conceal one’s existence and all traces of it.

Remark: Even Sovereigns ought to find it difficult to locate you if you decide to remain hidden.

Ezra nodded slightly, whilst it gave him expectations, there wasn’t really any specifics as to what or how the skill worked and whether they were any side-effects.

’Hopefully not, but I guess I have to test it out to be sure’

Already imbued with knowledge of its activation, Ezra felt no struggle in utilizing it.

Covered in a translucent film, he was first hidden from the naked eye, turning invisible.

Next, his aura was extinguished, whilst the brightness of his life force diminished.

Ezra felt his presence become faint.

Not long after, it started blending into the surrounding to give the feel of an inanimate object of no importance.

Moreover, vestiges left behind as traces of his existence were being erased in real time.

This in turn gave trackers even less to track him with.

All in all, it’s a fantastic skill.

If there was one drawback...

’It consumes far too much energy’

As expected of a top tier skill, the energy consumption was exorbitant.

He’d only used it for a minute yet his reserves of energy had half emptied.

’If I reduce the amount of effects in use...’

Firstly, he stopped the effect of erasing vestiges.

Then, he stopped the effect of blending with the surroundings.

Then, he stopped the effect of diminishing his life force’s brightness.

"Phew" Ezra breathed aloud.

Only then did the energy consumption reduce to a manageable level, sitting below his rate of energy regeneration.

He’d have to get much stronger to use it with all its effects.

But even this much was plenty. Being able to activate the effects separately was the biggest merit, as it made it uses far more versatile.

Ezra took a deep breathe, finally done with his inspection of the energy construct-no- now the Sovereign system, he synchronized the new information he’d gained.

With such line-up of abilities, Ezra could think of more than a few ways to utilize them depending on the situation.

He didn’t dare state he could succeed in the Universe with confidence, at least not yet.

But at the very least, it should make the path forward less treacherous.

With that done, Ezra’s mind went to the next matter.

’What do I do next?’

He had placed the Halostar galaxy in his Universe, so obviously, he had to look for somewhere else to live from now on.

Not to mention the fact that multiple entities could be arriving at this any moment left him at constant unease.

’But where do I go?’

Unfortunately, he hadn’t thought up to this point before.

Worry not, as his trusted advisor came to the rescue.

[I know a place] replied Zydrax.

"Your former home?" Ezra intuited.

[No. You’ll definitely be killed if you go there, and I don’t even think you’ll be able to get there with your current strength]

"Then where?"

[The place the dungeons came from. I told you I had the coordinates]

Ezra’s eyes turned cold. It had been at the back of his mind that he would deal with whoever it was that caused destruction on Orion.

At the same time, he wasn’t stupid enough to think such things could be achieved so simply.

Even in his past life, now that he thought about it, no Mythic rank being invaded from those dungeons, yet they had done so in this life.

Which meant he had no knowledge of the mastermind behind it all.

So, his foremost priority was to uncover the identity of the attacker, couldn’t exactly go around attacking just anyone, now could he?

The enemy was probably many times stronger than him as well, not even mentioning the fact it could a whole group and not just a single person, he had no choice but to grow stronger.

Thinking about it, infiltrating the enemy’s lair to destroy them from within wasn’t a bad idea at all.

"Are you sure we won’t be caught?"

[They probably have hundreds of thousands of visitors every day, no one will notice one more]

[It should be a good place to start your journey into the outer world]

Abating his nervousness, Ezra exited his universe to appear in empty space that was once the Halostar galaxy.

With the suns gone, space was now much darker, but compared to the pitch blackness permeating beyond the galaxy’s borders, it was still very bright.

Exhaling, Ezra steels his resolve to begin his journey into the vast Universe.

’Zydrax. Which way do I go?’

Ready to start his journey, Zydrax gives an unexpected reply.

[Wait a bit]

"Wait? Why?" Ezra was disconcerted.

[I’ve been working on a new ability for a while now, and I’m about finalizing it]

[If it works as intended, you won’t have to make such a long journey. It’ll be a short trip instead]

Ezra was annoyed.

’Weren’t you the one that said that enemies could arrive anytime? In that case, shouldn’t I start moving immediately? What if they really arrive?!’

[That’s unlikely, but even so, if they arrive just use your concealment skill or hide in your universe, they’ll never find you there. It’s better to stay in here till I’m done since you’ll be able to see anyone that enters, out there you won’t be able to see much of anything]

"Hmm...are you sure about this?"

[So just wait a bit, I’ve been working on this for a while now so it shouldn’t take me more than a few hours to complete this ability]

"Alright I’ll trust you"

Ezra calmed himself, Zydrax was rarely wrong about this sort of things.

"What sort of ability is it?"

Ezra naturally had some ideas, but he wanted Zydrax to confirm it.

But Zydrax shunned him.

[You’ll know when I’m done. Don’t disturb me till then]

Though annoyed, Ezra could do nothing about it.

To alleviate the silence, Ezra entered his Universe, watching as the planets were arranged.

Had even an hour passed? Zydrax notified him of the abilities completion, it seemed even he was surprised at the pace.

Appearing back in the main Universe, two prompts hit him back to back.

You have gained the ability <Coordinate Recorder>

You have gained the ability <Teleportation>

Just looking at the names, it seemed the wait was worth it.

Well...

’Let’s find out’
