As a result, the zombies outside the building also began dwindling.

"I wish I could learn how to make real animals for large-scale attacks like Commander Leng and Commander Lu." Someone said softly in the resting area.

"You can keep dreaming. Talent matters more than hard work in this case. And you just don’t have the talent for this. Be content with what you have." Someone else replied.

Leng Pan pretended not to hear them.

Just as she felt her strength begin to dwindle, she realized that the number of zombies rushing to the third floor had reduced and those outside were retreating for unknown reasons.

"Something seems to have happened outside. The zombies are retreating out of the testing center." Leng Pan commented.

"Those are all resources, let’s not waste them. Go after those zombies." Lu Zhen gave the order and almost everyone ran towards the stairs to chase after the zombies.

Leng Pan still had some strength left and followed behind while holding a crystal core in each hand and absorbing their essence to replenish her strength to its peak.

She didn’t know why the zombies would retreat. If the battle got intense later she had to be prepared.

Lu Zhen also took out purified crystal cores and began absorbing them as he walked.

Lu Hao seemed too impatient to take the stairs and once they reached the second floor, he opened the nearby window and jumped out, running in the direction the zombies were retreating in.

"What did he sense? Why is he in such a hurry?" Leng Pan asked curiously upon seeing Lu Hao’s actions.

"I don’t know. We’ll find out once we catch up." Lu Zhen replied with doubt.

Leng Pan sighed and formed another small dragon and sent it upstairs where they had come from.

They had left in a hurry and forgot about the crystal cores. So she had the small water dragon go back and collect them.

She and Lu Zhen increased their pace and soon caught up with the others who were already in battle with the zombies at the back while most of them had already exited the gate of the testing center.

Lu Hao and Lu Tao were nowhere to be seen.

Leng Pan’s large dragon was just outside the gate floating above everyone and diving every now and then to swallow zombies.

One could see the large number of crystal cores in its transparent stomach. Even though the dragon was made from water, it resembled a real dragon and as it ate more zombies, its form seemed to become more solid and it even began to roar.

Its roar was like that of a real dragon. It shook the ground as if an earthquake was happening and animals hiding in dark places coward and hid even deeper.

"You, you, and you stay behind and help in collecting the crystal cores here. There is a small water dragon behind collecting those left in the building. It will guide you to us once you are done." Leng Pan pointed out to three teammates and instructed them.

Without asking questions, the three nodded and immediately took out daggers and began digging crystal cores out of the zombies’ heads.

Leng Pan and Lu Zhen led the others to follow in the direction the zombies had left in.

It wasn’t hard to find them considering that a blue water dragon was so visible in the air.

"Baby, is it just me or has that dragon gotten bigger again?" Lu Zhen asked as he turned to his wife.

"It has indeed gotten bigger, and more solid. Also, I don’t need to feed it energy to keep it going, it seems to be absorbing energy on its own." Leng Pan was surprised by this situation.

She had formed the water dragon a few times and she always had to sustain it by constantly transferring spiritual power into it. But today was different. The water dragon wasn’t dissipating like usual when it ran out of energy, instead, it was absorbing energy independently and becoming stronger.

"Well, things are getting more interesting." Lu Zhen said with a laugh.

"Why don’t you try to form that fire dragon and see if it does the same?" Leng Pan asked Lu Zhen.

Like always, the man never said no to his wife, so he immediately formed a fire dragon and had it go and swallow zombies as well.

Usually, his fire dragon just burns the zombies, but today, he decided to let it mimic Leng Pan’s water dragon and swallow the zombies instead, then the crystal cores were collected in the stomach.

At first, Lu Zhen had to transfer energy to it when it became faint, but as time went by, the dragon began solidifying and no longer required Lu Zhen’s help.

The more zombies it swallowed, the more crystal cores it collected and the more solid it became.

"It seems that this had something to do with either the zombies or the crystal cores they are swallowing." Lu Zhen observed thoughtfully.

"Do you think if we take the crystal cores from their stomachs, they will still remain solid?" Leng Pan asked curiously.

"I am not sure, but for now, let them be, they are part of our combat strength." Lu Zhen knew how to take advantage of situations and the two dragons were useful for now.

"I know." Leng Pan replied. She was just asking, she wouldn’t really take out the crystal cores.

At this moment, they arrived at an open space. The place was smashed beyond recognition but Leng Pan still recognized it as a stadium.

It had been used for national celebrations and game tournaments before. But why did the zombies run here?

It felt as if the zombies had been attracted by something significant in the stadium. But what could be more attractive to zombies than human flesh?

Just as Leng Pan wondered, she felt goosebumps rise all over her body, causing her to shiver.

With the amount of heat experienced during this period, feeling such a chilling sensation was alarming.

Leng Pan walked into the stadium through the collapsed entrance and was greeted by a sight that almost made her heart stop.
