Chapter 399: Chapter 399: Lu Hao

"He should be the second brother. Lu Tao will remain the last born." Lu Zhen stated, then turned to Lu Tao and continued, "Change the way you address him. He is your older brother."

"Uhh! I was only older for a few minutes and now I am relegated back to being the last born again." Lu Tao complained under his breath, but when he felt Lu Zhen’s eyes in him, he raised his head and beamed at Lu Hao, "Second brother."

It was called so smoothly that Leng Pan almost tripped over herself while standing and fell.

How can someone have such a high-level of self-awareness? With just a suggestion and a look from his brother, Lu Tao changed the way he addressed Lu Hao like it was the most natural thing.

Leng Pan burst out laughing at the way Lu Tao changed his expression and way of address quickly.

"So, where do we say he came from?" She asked while wiping tears from her eyes.

She had laughed so hard that tears formed in her eyes.

Lu Zhen smiled happily when he saw his wife laughing so happily. The apocalypse was a touch era to live in and there weren’t many opportunities to be so carefree and laugh so naturally.

He was also grateful for his younger brothers who could amuse his wife.

"Let’s say he is my younger brother who grew up with a relative abroad. He traveled to the country a day before the apocalypse but missed mom and Lu Tao as they had joined us in the Capital.

The zombie outbreak had trapped him in this area and he just came to the testing center a few days ago to look for supplies but got trapped here. We don’t need to give too many explanations." Lu Zhen suggested this after some thought.

It was a quite far-fetched explanation, but it didn’t matter. As long as people saw the resemblance between him and Lu Hao, no one would question that story.

"That’s a good idea. We can go with that because it is common for people to have relatives raise their children when they are busy." Leng Pan agreed with her husband’s suggestion one hundred percent.

"Okay then, so if someone asks, I should say I am Lu Zhen’s younger brother who grew up abroad. If asked more questions, what should I say?" Lu Hao didn’t have much knowledge about human relations, so he asked a few more questions.

"Just tell them it’s family business and not to interfere." It was Lu Tao who said this.

Indeed, the boy had grown over the last few months.

"Okay then. If anyone asks, I am Lu Hao, Lu Zhen’s younger brother who grew up abroad with relatives." Lu Hao repeated as if to make sure he wouldn’t mess up.

"Yes. That’s what you will say. We will teach you more information about the family once we go back home, just in case some pesky people blindside you." Leng Pan had learned to be cautious and prepared for any eventuality in the last apocalypse.

She didn’t dare to gamble, especially knowing that aliens testing kits might get developed any time.

"Alright, we can go now." Lu Tao impatiently said and walked to the front. Lu Hao, not to be left behind, also skipped to walk beside his brother as Leng Pan withdrew the mist barrier.

The four people descended the stairs to the third floor where everyone else was waiting.

Shade had not returned to the space bangle and was following behind them like a loyal guard.

Lu Zhen had decided that the wolf needed training, so when they fought their way out of the building, it would join in the battle to gain experience.

As soon as they walked into the lounge on the third floor, the room went quiet. Everyone’s eyes turned to them and a few raised eyebrows were seen when the team members noticed the new addition.

The appearance of Lu Hao was surprising, but what surprised them even more was his resemblance to Lu Zhen.

Even without asking, they could tell that they were blood-related.

Still, Juan Ke asked curiously.

"Who is this?" Everyone else had the same question in mind, so they all perked up their ears.

"Lu Zhen’s younger brother. You haven’t met before. He grew up abroad and only came to the country a day before the apocalypse began but then was trapped nearby. He recently found this place and got trapped." Leng Pan explained simply the way they had discussed.

As expected, no one asked any more questions. A few people stood up to welcome Lu Hao to the team and even commented about how strong the Lu family genes were considering their resemblance.

"Have you all prepared?" Leng Pan asked just to change the topic because digging deeper into Lu Hao’s identity was not an option.

"Yes, we can leave anytime now. But, Commander, what do we do with him?" Juan Ke replied but then remembered AA, who was still tied to a chair and asked.

"He is dangerous. He should be eliminated." Lu Hao said all of a sudden.

Lu Zhen and Leng Pan both turned to look at him with questions in their eyes.

They were wondering how he had managed to judge that AA was dangerous after meeting him for a minute or two.

However, having noticed how sensitive he was, they weren’t going to take chances and ignore his advice.

Seeing the two people looking at him, and even the others in the room, Lu Hao turned to Lu Zhen and said solemnly, "Brother, believe me, he is dangerous. He should be eliminated." He said anxiously as if to try and convince his older brother.

"Okay." Lu Zhen replied.

Since he had accepted Lu Hao as his brother, he would treat him like family, and family trusted and supported each other.

Without another word, a ball of crimson red flame shot at AA who was tied and ganged and within a minute, he had been turned to ashes.
