The sentimental moment didn’t last long because Leng Pan and Lu Zhen showed up in the break room a few minutes later.

Just like when they entered the building through the window, Lu Zhen pushed it open and stood to the side to let his wife do her magic.

"Take your time, Baby." He murmured just loud enough for Leng Pan to hear but no one else caught what he had said.

Leng Pan, for some unknown reason, could feel her ears becoming hot and her heart beating louder than a drum.

It felt as if she was experiencing the first awakening of love where she couldn’t control herself.

She didn’t understand why she was like that today. She had obviously been married to Lu Zhen so long already and all the shyness had left her after a few rounds of rolling in the sheets.

However, today for some unknown reason, she was experiencing butterflies in her stomach.

Maybe it was the atmosphere, or the gift her husband had exchanged with bloodshed to get her.

A smile she hadn’t noticed crept onto her lips and an upward arc could be seen.

The others didn’t know what had happened, but looking at her reaction, they could tell that Lu Zhen had done something.

Nonetheless, they said nothing and pretended not to see or hear anything.

"This boy has learned how to flirt now, but is this the right time to do that?" Uncle Li questioned under his breath and didn’t dare to let his nephew hear him.

His nephew was a petty person, especially when it came to Leng Pan and he didn’t want to cross him. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Leng Pan had no idea what everyone was thinking and just concentrated on building a staircase using the ice outside the building.

In less than three minutes, there was already a staircase leading all the way to the ground.

Lu Zhen pulled her to the side once she was done and took the leader to climb out the window.

He had heard what his uncle said about zombies coming this way without the pressure of the vine plant and he didn’t want his wife to be ambushed.

Hence, he decided to go first.

The truth was, even if Leng Pan left first, she wouldn’t fall victim to some zombies, however, she couldn’t argue with her overprotective husband.

Thus, she followed behind him instead.

The vine plant seemed to have a consciousness as it sat quietly on her shoulder and swayed from side-to-side as if there was wind blowing it.

The others followed behind the two and landed on the white expanse of snow and ice. All they could see as the eyes could go was white. There wasn’t even a green leaf visible anywhere.

Trees had been completely covered by ice and the buildings also had ice sticking to the walls.

Some buildings were completely buried under the ice and without a map of the place, they couldn’t find them.

Thus, they selected the areas that looked like moulds had been built in the ice because that showed that there was a structure below.

Lu Tao used his superpower to survey the area and managed to find the warehouse with the most boxes of products.

It was one of the large buildings completely buried under the ice because it was only one big building with high walls but wasn’t a storey building.

He couldn’t expose his superpower so he walked over to his brother who was leading the search and whispered his discovery to him.

Lu Zhen nodded and continued to search for a few minutes so as not to raise suspicions about his brother before coming to the spot his brother had pointed out.

He was about to melt the ice there with his superpower when Leng Pan stopped him.

"Let me try something." She said before standing in front of him and used her ability in reverse.

She had already mastered the art of absorbing water like it was nothing. At first, she would be in pain just absorbing one liter of water, but now she could absorb an unlimited amount of water without feeling anything.

Similarly, she could also produce a large amount of water, which had enabled her to supply water to all her teammates and family without struggle.

She had long discovered that if she absorbed cold water, she could create cold water at will.

If she absorbed hot water, she could fill basins or pots with hot water as she wished.

Even though she could solidify water and turn it into ice, it took some energy.

Now that she had free ice in abundance, she wanted to see if she absorbed ice, if she could create ice walls without effort the same way she produced water whenever she wanted.

Lu Zhen understood his wife quite well, hence, he took several steps back and had the others do the same to give Leng Pan space to do her thing.

Because of her ability, even though it was freezing cold, she wasn’t affected as much as the others. After all, ice was still a form of water.

Leng Pan took off her gloves and gave them to Lu Zhen to hold them for her.

When she absorbed water or anything, she usually did it through the pores of her skin. After all, that was also how she produced water.

Now that she couldn’t take off her clothes the way she did when absorbing water in the bathtub at home, she could only absorb the ice through har hands.

She folded the sleeves of her clothes to give herself more room for absorption before she began concentrating on pulling the water molecules that form the ice towards her.

It was as if her body was a magnet for the ice as it peeled off the ground and ice particles struck to her palms and the back of her hand before disappearing into her body.

This scene surprised everyone there except Lu Zhen who had already witnessed it numerous times.

"What is happening here?" Momo asked in a whisper to no one in particular.

The others just shook their heads because they also knew nothing of this magical scene.
