Chapter 330: Chapter 330: Choosing the Best Sunscreen Company

Even though we don’t know whether the meteorites ruined the places, I believe that cosmetic companies or manufacturing plants would have whatever we need in abundance.

Let’s choose one with a good reputation and products and raid it on the first day the snow stops falling.

This way, many people would not have come to their senses and would still be hesitating.

That one day will be our window of opportunity to act and get as many skin care products as we need." Leng Pan, with the experience of her last life, knew exactly how the human mind worked in a crisis, especially when it came to response to natural disasters during the apocalypse.

"Okay then, we will do as you say. So, which manufacturing factory should we go to" Uncle Li spoke for everyone else.

The next hour was spent discussing the best local skincare products and the most favourable reputation of each brand.

Eventually, they chose a medium-sized company that was reputed for being honest and had safe and natural skincare products.

This decision was informed to the other teammates the next day.

Of course, they supported it completely and began to prepare themselves mentally.

Three days later, the snow stopped falling at night and that morning after breakfast, the whole team set off towards the company they had chosen.

Because of the snow and ice that hadn’t melted yet, they had used some wooden planks to make skating boards and other equipment that could be used on snow.

Leng Pan even took out a snowmobile she had bought as a precaution before.

She had only bought three at that time because she hadn’t expected that the extreme cold would be so extreme.

By the time the snow had stopped falling, the building they were living in was buried seven floors by the snow.

So, at that moment, they couldn’t even use the front door and had to cut out the grill of a window on the eighth floor so that they could leave.

Moreover, because the snow that had fallen on the first half of the night hadn’t hardened into ice yet, they couldn’t just use a sledge as the snow was still soft.

Nevertheless, this didn’t discourage them.

Lu Tao had sent a message about the extreme heat a couple of days earlier through the same method as the last time.

Everyone who still had a charged electronic device received the message.

Although they had done this because they felt an obligation towards saving the world, this one act indeed ended up saving countless lives.

This was because many people didn’t react like the first time they received news of the extreme heat. This time, they took the situation seriously and in fact, some people left the comfort of their houses that very afternoon to search for supplies including summer clothes, food and other necessities.

Leng Pan and her team had acted early in the morning and didn’t have much competition.

They also didn’t see many people on the way. Even zombies seemed to have hidden themselves completely.

The manufacturing factory they had chosen was medium-sized without much power and influence and was located near the edge of the industrial area of the city.

When they arrived, they found that almost the entire building used as a factory was buried under the snow and ice.

Even though the factory wasn’t big, it was a decent size and had had a significant number of employees before the apocalypse.

However, at that moment, there wasn’t a single zombie in sight.

It was so quiet that it caused one’s hair to stand on end.

"Do you think that there is a problem here? Why is it like a graveyard at night? So quiet?" Janna asked before scaring herself with the graveyard comparison so much that she started shivering, and not from the cold.

"Everyone, be careful. There might be danger here. Don’t act impulsively and don’t act alone." Leng Pan warned before taking the lead to explore the place first.

Not all the buildings had been completely buried. The office building still had over ten floors above the accumulated ice and snow.

Leng Pan could almost be sure that there were zombies in that building.

Even though it was still quiet when one didn’t go inside, she had seen enough not to be fooled by such a facade.

Thus, she expended her spiritual energy to create mist that created a half meter thick barrier around everyone before walking around the office building to find a point of entrance.

She looked up and saw that one of the windows on the thirteenth floor seemed to be unlatched.

Leng Pan didn’t know what that room was, but she had to thank whoever left it that way.

Like a pro, she created a staircase using ice and climbed it towards the open window.

Even though the window wasn’t locked, it wasn’t completely open. Only a small gap could be seen from the outside.

Even though they wanted to follow, the others waited on the surface of the ice for Leng Pan to give the go ahead.

The only one who didn’t feel at ease was Ye Xuan who had followed a couple of stairs behind his wife.

Everyone was already used to his overprotective nature, thus, no one commented about his action of climbing the stairs after his wife.

Leng Pan pushed the window open and was surprised to find the place completely quiet.

She couldn’t even sense a single zombie inside.

The feeling she got from this situation was a bit creepy but she couldn’t find what was wrong.

"Let’s check what’s in there. I don’t believe that such a big company with so many employees doesn’t have a single zombie." Leng Pan suggested before placing her hands on the window sill and hoisting herself up to climb inside the room.

As it turned out, the room was a break room with some snacks and drinks strewn everywhere on the counters lined on the wall and on the already ice-covered floor.

It could be seen that because of the small gap in the unlocked window, the room had frozen to a certain extent.
