Rewriting My Fate in the Apocalypse-Chapter 326: Hot Vegetable Soup

Before lunch time, more people joined the frenzy and fought in the ring. It wasn’t clear whether it was the example set by the earlier teammates or it was what Momo had said about them and other soldiers dying at the hands of aliens because of lack of experience, but the later competitors were even more brutal.

This was especially evident when Blaze and Vortex entered the ring.

They showed no mercy and fought as if they had a long-standing grudge.

When they left the ring, both had slight bone fractures on their arm, legs, and ribs.

Leng Pan had to mix some Chinese herbs usually used for healing and boil them with pure and undiluted spiritual spring water for them to take.

Other than those with fractures, the others only drank diluted spiritual spring water for them to recover a little faster.

However, since the natural healing process of the body would also help to train their muscles, Leng Pan didn’t go overboard and only gave them diluted spiritual spring water without healing herbs.

Nonetheless, they were still forced to enter the ring and fight to the death again.

This time, their techniques were more refined and although they were a bit slower than the previous day due to the body not having healed, they fought with more spirit.

After three days, their bodies had already started to adapt and were no longer in so much pain.

Their speed and strength of attacks were increasing and most of them were facing fewer injuries.

This time, no one was excluded. Even Janna and Lu Tao had to enter the ring and fight like it was their last fight.

It was surprising how much potential humans have. The youngsters were almost on par with the grown ups and could hold their own if they engaged in a fight that wasn’t too big and wouldn’t last long.

Nevertheless, with daily training, everyone was building their stamina. Even Leng Pan and Lu Zhen realized that they were improving faster this way than before.

A week later, the vegetables were ready to harvest after the seedlings had been transplanted on the third day to the hydroponic planters.

Thus, after their daily training, Auntie Li and Li Yunjia harvested most of the vegetables and fruits like strawberries and put them in large baskets.

They carried them into the freezing corridor and had those coming down from the training room to take whatever they wanted.

The teammates had heard of the Lu family planting vegetables but they hadn’t expected them to be ready so soon.

However, remembering that in the Lu family there was a member with water superpower, and another with wood ability, they understood that it was easy for them to grow food.

This also made them overjoyed and almost everyone made a decision in their hearts to protect these two gods of abundance in the future.

They knew that if the two were still around, they would not have to suffer hunger or die of thirst like many people had done.

There were lettuce, tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, celery, strawberries, bok choy, kale in the baskets.

Enough variety of vegetables to make sure they don’t get bored.

Everyone was very grateful for this and swore to work harder.

That night, the Lu family transplanted more seedlings into the planters.

They also entered Leng Pan’s space bangle and plowed the farm that had appeared there.

They also planted more varieties of crops and included corn and rice in some parts of the farm.

By the time they were done, it was in the wee hours of the morning. They all took a bath in the space bangle before leaving and going to sleep.

After a few hours of sleep, the few family members were awoken by a commotion outside the corridor.

The doors of the two apartments opened almost at the same time and on one side, Lu Zhen stood while half hours hugging his wife while on the opposite door, Uncle Li was standing at the front with his wife, sister, and youngest nephew standing behind him and craning their necks to see what was going on.

As it turned out, Momo had teamed up with Juan Ke to make hot vegetable soup for everyone and we’re serving them a bowl each to drink and warm up before going upstairs for their daily training.

Seeing that it wasn’t people coming to cause trouble, Leng Pan took two bowls of soup and followed her husband back into their apartment.

That whole week they had been training hard during the day and practicing the precise control of their abilities at night.

Leng Pan had even taken time to absorb two tubs of spiritual spring water into her body.

With the purifying effect of the spiritual spring water, she could now be said to be completely immune to the zombie virus.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t something that others could achieve so easily.

She only hoped that the spiritual spring water they usually drank would be of help in case they were hurt by zombies in the future.

Now her mist was more powerful, but she also understood that zombies were also becoming stronger and aliens were probably increasing in number.
