Chapter 48: NEVER GOTTEN TO THE MALL

Damon glared at the car that just exited the premises, why was Amelia with Silva of all people, Damon wondered in his heart as he gritted his teeth in anger, she did not have any recollection of what had happened of course she would go with him.

"Damon? What are you looking at?" Ophelia asked turning her head to see too but the back of the car had already disappeared.

Remembering that he had this woman to deal with before he couldd reunite with Damon he sighed deeply.

"Nothing, just wondering why the security guards are not in their posts." He replied trying to slip his hand away from the interlock but Ophelia only held on tighter.

She had gotten a hint from her source that the human would be shopping here and hence she decided to drag Damon to the human world so she could rub it in the human wound hard.

Entering the mall every where was surprisingly quiet no usual mumrings or the sound of carts gliding on the floor, it was just so quiet and peaceful.

Damon immediately unlocked his hands and moved briskly closer to the counter and was surprised to see people lying on the floor showing no signs of movement with the Cashier just staring blankly into space.

"Oh my gosh Damon!! What happened?" Ophelia squealed as she hurriedly jumped clinging onto Damon.

"Can’t you at least behave like someone with a spine?!" Damon yelled irritated as he shook Ophelia off of him.

"I’m sorry." She said lowering her head while biting her lips likee she would cry at any moment.

"No problem." Damon sighed as he headed to the cashier stretching out his hands in order to touch.

"Damon!! what are you doing? It could be dangerous." Ophelia cautioned almost biting her fingers with anxiety.

Damon swiftly tilted his head to look at her with a smirk on his face, his back eyes changing to gold, "I’m the devil, I don’t think any danger can surpass me." Damon bragged before focusing on the Cashier again.

His mind went back to Amelia and Silva leaving in the car.

Could it be she manifested again? Damon wondered deeply as he touched the forehead of the Cashier closing his eyes, trying to focus, he wanted to see through memories of the cashier what had happened.

This mall was actually under the company he had in the human world, DH enterprise, even if he did not pretty much care about what people think, he still wondered who would have dared to mess with his business and also what was Amelia and Silva’s hand in it.

Ophelia looked dreamily at Damon as he creased his forehead trying hard to focus on whatever he was doing, she had forced him to help his hair backward which he did after much reluctance and arguments, he wore a Korean styled overrall with a black turtle neck top inside and a blue jean trouser.

His turtle neck was especially fit and made his muscles highlight extremely allruing to look at.

"Argh." Damon yelled out frustrated as he pulled his hand back from the cashier’s head and angrily slammed his fists on the counter table causing it to shatter to bits.

"Dammit." Damon cursed running his hands through his hair scattering the gelled hair making Ophelia pout in anger.

"What happened?" Ophelia asked wondering what happened for Damon to have reacted like that.

"I could not get any memory from what happened, not a single one." Damon kicked the ground frustrated but ended up kicking one the bodies laying on the floor, that was it the people would surely remember something.

Damon hurriedly picked one of them up and ransacked through his memories desperate to know what Silva and Amelia were doing, could it possibly be a date, he wondered.

Damon felt blood pumping through his veins seeing how Amelia was accused and treated by the Cashier, and also that sister of the former host of Amelia’s body, Marcy.

He shouldn’t have listened to Amelia and would have gotten rid of her long ago maybe this would have not happened then, and his dear Amelia would not have been bullied like this.

The memories stopped at when the Cashier asked to search Amelia and Amelia giving her jacket to her, aside that there was nothing else.

Damon felt relieved that at least there was not any trace of supernatural elements, he could not risk the situation that almost happened to Duane happen again, all humans were not to be trusted and any slight opportunity given they will readily take supernaturals apart for their so called experiments.

"Damon? Are you okay? You zoned out for a bit." Ophelia jerked Damon out of his thoughts as she tried to reach out to him and hold onto his shoulder but he slipped away and dropped the human on the floor carelessly.

Damon felt frustrated at Ophelia occasional commentary, if she could just shut up it would be of more help to him than her talks, they were really starting to get on his nerves.

"I’m going to make a cal I will be right back." Damon left without waiting for a reply, he just wanted space from staying with Ophelia, every minute with her felt so suffocating and each time he looked at her, he felt likee he should use his claws and destroy that face, if not for the fave he would not have to deal with any of these bull shit.

"What did you do here now?" A whiny voice asked Damon angrily, "Good, you are here, I was about to call you to clear this mess up, and get that witch here too, let her make everything that happened within this last hour look like a dream to these fools, and also make sure to find where they live and dump them on their beds or floor, I don’t care but make it seem like they had never gotten to the mall today, is that understood?" Damon ordered strictly has he glared at Leviton, Leviton sighed as he regretted panicking about Damon going berserk, he had received a signal that Damon was in the human realm and was about to go berserk again.

Leviton looked at thee people on the floor and sighed once more, well at least they were not dead.
