Chapter 1349: Chapter 1334: A Minor Disagreement Before Departure

"Oh? You’re coming with us?" Song Yun asked.

"Can’t I?"

"You can, you can! Of course, but why do I feel like you’re up to something?"

"How could that be, let’s go, let’s go."

The drinking session lasted half the night; originally Wen Ting planned to get Song Yun drunk, then record some embarrassing moments for blackmail later, but who would have guessed Song Yun was a master at holding his liquor, drinking over half of the sixty plus bottles shared among the three. By the end, Song Yun was completely fine and even had the energy to flirt with the dancers passing by.

After dropping the two back to their places, Song Yun returned to the dorm to sleep.

Early the next morning, Xiao Hui had already called Song Yun up, saying they were going out of town for fun, and invited Song Yun to join.

Since Song Yun hadn’t anything urgent going on recently, he agreed to tag along.

According to Xiao Hui, about ten people were going, including Xiao Hui, Big Head, Song Yun, and two beauties from the university—straight-up originals—the remaining four were Xiao Hui’s friends, said to be social elites and high-level execs.

Two men and two women, as Xiao Hui put it, those two guys were purely tagging along with the two girls, because Xiao Hui had only invited the two ladies, and the two guys happened to find out and volunteered to be drivers for the two ladies, leaving Xiao Hui with little choice.

The Mercedes minivan first went to pick up people at the girls’ dorm, once everyone was together, the driver took them all to the SH train station as the meeting point agreed with Xiao Hui’s friends.

After waiting a while, the friends hadn’t arrived; Song Yun checked his watch, and asked, "Your friends don’t know the way, right?"

"Definitely not, they’re natives of SH. How could they not know the train station?" Xiao Hui shook his head, saying, "Probably stuck in traffic."

After waiting nearly another half hour, reaching nine-thirty in the morning, two black sedans slowly approached.

The cars weren’t anything too fancy, one Audi Q5 was alright, and the other was a Volkswagen Passat, probably a luxury version but around three hundred thousand yuan.

The two cars stopped next to the Mercedes van, two people got out from each.

Altogether two men and two women.

The two men looked average, not particularly handsome, but one had a notably thick gold chain around his neck.

"Why so late!"

Xiao Hui complained.

"Just took them to breakfast."

The man with the gold chain said, "Anyway, a half hour delay isn’t that big of a deal, right?"

Xiao Hui’s expression dimmed a bit but quickly returned to normal, saying, "Alright, let me introduce you, Song Yun, these are my friends, this one is Lin Kai."

Xiao Hui pointed at the man with the gold chain.

"Hello!"

Song Yun smiled and nodded at the man, extending his hand first, the man slightly nodded too, extending his hand to lightly touch Song Yun’s fingertips before retracting it.

"This one is Wan Chunfeng."

Xiao Hui introduced the other guy driving the Passat.

Song Yun smiled and greeted the guy as well, shaking his hand; this guy at least properly shook Song Yun’s hand.

"These two beauties, the one on the left is Bingbing, and the one on the right is Dai Dai." Xiao Hui introduced.

Song Yun smiled and nodded, neither of the girls appeared overly warm nor deliberately cold, just nodded back at Song Yun.

But both of them were indeed quite beautiful, above average, combined with that air of maturity developed after entering society, they appeared much more alluring than university girls.

One wore cautious seven-point jeans, the other simple sportswear, but all in Nike, which made Song Yun who only wore Adi Wang feel a lot of pressure.

"These are my classmates, dorm mates, Big Head and Song Yun! And these two beauties are top tier at our school, but let’s keep it a secret for now, I’ll introduce them once we arrive."

Xiao Hui introduced.

The four across just nodded in response without saying much; Lin Kai asked, "Xiao Hui, are they coming with us too?"

"Yes. Our dorm’s collective activity." Xiao Hui nodded.

"Oh!!"

Lin Kai nodded, wearing an inexplicable expression, seemingly a bit dismissive but upon closer look, nothing could be discerned.

"Alright, it’s getting late, let’s aim to arrive before eleven, then have a meal!" Xiao Hui laughed and said.

"Okay, lead the way, we’ll follow behind."

Lin Kai said.

Everyone got back into their cars, the Mercedes van led the way, followed by the Q5 and Passat, heading towards HZ mightily.

HZ isn’t exactly close to nor far from SH, it takes a few hours of driving, on which Song Yun used his excellent conversational skills to enliven the entire car’s atmosphere.

Two plus hours passed quickly, and they finally reached their destination, a resort in HZ, or rather a place reminiscent of an ancient town.

This ancient town was developed by the HZ municipal system, reportedly a decision made by a noteworthy figure who had apparent Jiangnan small town sentiment. So, an ancient town was forcibly developed in an HZ suburban area.

However, just after finishing the town’s construction, this person was transferred elsewhere, resulting in the new office holder lacking interest, leading to insufficient promotion and investment, resulting in visitors to HZ mostly knowing West Lake without realizing an ancient town existed outside HZ’s suburbs.

This resulted in relatively low visitor traffic to the town, mostly local SH and HZ people make weekend trips here, but HZ, being a place of great figures and scenic beauty, despite its half-baked format, the town remained pleasantly beautiful, fitting for a one-night stand or similar.

Arriving at the ancient town at eleven-thirty, under Xiao Hui’s lead, the group drove their cars inside and stopped outside an elegant ancient-style building.

"Luoyehong Resort." The seven large characters hung outside the building, Song Yun looked at them for a while and couldn’t help but say, "What a rip-off."

Based on Song Yun’s understanding, a resort should at least be comprised of several interconnected villas or houses to qualify as one, but this Luoyehong Resort was merely a three-story building mimicking Qin Dynasty architecture, though appeared quite retro and charming, it had little to do with being a resort.

"The land here is quite costly."

Xiao Hui awkwardly touched his head, stating, "So, my friend only obtained this plot to build, but despite its small scale, its facilities are complete, everything for fun, eating, drinking, and utility is all available!"

"This place isn’t great, Xiao Hui!"

Lin Kai stood at the resort’s entrance, glanced around, and said, "Isn’t this just like those inns over in Lijiang? Still had to call it a resort, really a case of bait and switch."
