Chapter 86: Chapter 86: The Little Guy Gets into a Fight

"But I don’t look at superficial efforts; I look at real strength. I won’t use the power of the Kuangte Family to help someone just because they’re especially nice to me," Tellam Kuangte’s voice was ice-cold, silencing the airport. Suddenly, she added, "Soon, I will issue a test to see if such talent exists among you. The business talent whose answers I find most satisfactory will secure a 5 billion investment for their company or group. Of course, this is just financial assistance. There will be access to channels and other resources as well."

Tellam Kuangte’s words instantly captured everyone’s curiosity, especially the CEOs and business owners. They began to imagine that with the Kuangte Family’s help, becoming the top company in the Dragon Country wouldn’t be difficult.

Meanwhile, their colleagues also began whispering among themselves.

"My God, our company could actually receive such great help."

"Yeah, and not just that. If we can get the Kuangte Family’s support, our reputation will spread as well."

"Bullshit. With our limited abilities, how could she possibly take notice of us?"

On the stage, Tellam Kuangte controlled the pace perfectly. After letting the crowd murmur, she smiled and said, "Of course, for the talent that I value, the Kuangte Family will invest in them and cultivate them into world-class business experts."

"Additionally," she paused before stating resoundingly, "they can start their own business. We will provide 1 billion in startup capital and access to some of our channels."

WOW!

Instantly, excitement surged through the crowd. A billion in startup capital? For them, that was an unimaginable sum. Even some of the bosses and CEOs were envious. Many of their own companies didn’t have that much startup funding. In fact, after all their hard work, the usable assets for some of them still didn’t add up to 1 billion. If they could, these bosses would want to take the Kuangte Family’s test themselves.

Many people felt as if they were frozen in place, their hearts racing. They desperately wanted that startup capital and the Kuangte Family’s help. Although most of them knew their own abilities were likely insufficient, it didn’t stop them from fantasizing.

If I were the talent the Kuangte Family valued, I could skyrocket from obscurity to prominence overnight. If I were the talent they’re looking for, I’d become a member of the elite. In that case, would I still need to work for someone else? Of course not! I’d start my own business, be my own boss, maybe even become the richest person in the Dragon Country!

Lost in their daydreams, many spoke in a daze, as if they had already become the important, talented individuals valued by the Kuangte Family. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Bing Hong felt the same, but she knew her own abilities would never be valued or appreciated by the Kuangte Family. Right now, in all of Yang City, only Hua Biehe had that kind of potential. At this thought, Bing Hong’s fists tightened. She had to go to the hospital and get back what she had lost. Then, she would give her restored first time to Hua Biehe. She would become Hua Biehe’s woman. Once Hua Biehe became the talent valued by the Kuangte Family and received their support, he would surely become one of the wealthiest men in the Dragon Country. And she, in turn, would become a rich man’s wife. Isn’t there a saying? ’A woman conquers the world by conquering a man!’ Right now, that saying felt absolutely correct to her. The thought made Bing Hong’s face flush, and she felt an urgent need to get to the hospital and restore what she had lost.

Hua Biehe had, of course, also heard Tellam Kuangte’s words. He clenched his fists, ecstatic. My family isn’t wealthy. I’m already skilled enough, but this is the only chance I have to change my destiny. If I win this, I’m destined to become a tycoon, not some wage slave working for others. I’m confident that I am the one Tellam Kuangte is looking for. Who else could it be but me!

A short while later, after Tellam Kuangte finished speaking, she departed for Yang City’s First Hotel, and the representatives from the various companies dispersed.

Qin Yuhan went to ask some of her seniors for help in creating test questions, so Wu Tian and Lin Fa went to buy some books together.

"Boss, how come you’re so relaxed? You’re not nervous at all?" Lin Fa asked, noticing something odd about Wu Tian.

"Should I be nervous instead of relaxed?" Wu Tian replied. "What good would being nervous do anyway?"

"That’s true, but I can’t help it. Ugh, I get tense just thinking about it." Lin Fa took several deep breaths.

Most people are probably like Lin Fa. To them, this visit from the Kuangte Family feels like the national college entrance exams from back in the day, only even more terrifying. This could genuinely affect the entire course of a person’s life, Wu Tian thought.

"It’s just a small test," Wu Tian said casually. "We face many challenges in life. If we get nervous and scared now, what will we do when we encounter even more serious problems?"

"What? More serious problems? No, no, no," Lin Fa said, waving his hands dismissively. "I think I’m very ordinary. The Kuangte Family’s test is probably the biggest thing I’ll ever face in my entire life."

Wu Tian patted Lin Fa’s shoulder. "Don’t worry, your life won’t be ordinary."

Seeing how certain Wu Tian sounded, Lin Fa was puzzled. "Why do you say that?"

Because you’re my underling in this city. How could one of my guys not achieve anything? That would be too embarrassing for me. But Wu Tian knew he couldn’t say that to Lin Fa right now.

After going to the bookstore and buying a few books, Wu Tian and Lin Fa split up.

Lin Fa no longer lived at his old place; he had rented a studio apartment for himself. When Wu Tian got home, Qin Yuhan still hadn’t returned. He knew she had gone to meet with a senior of hers because she had texted him to let him know where she was. Wu Tian was touched by the gesture.

When he arrived home, he found the little one sitting on the sofa, uncharacteristically quiet instead of singing. Wu Tian furrowed his brow. "What’s wrong?"

Murong Yezi came out of the kitchen. "She just refuses to say. She’s been like this ever since I picked her up."

Wu Tian walked over, sat down on the sofa, and lifted the little one onto his lap. "Tell Daddy what happened."

Sitting on Wu Tian’s lap, the little one buried her head in his chest. Only in her daddy’s embrace did she feel truly safe.

"Daddy, I got into a fight just now."

"A fight?" Wu Tian was surprised. My daughter would never hit someone without a reason. He firmly believed that.

The little one looked up and added, "I fought four men. They even vomited blood because of me."

Wu Tian was left speechless.
