Chapter 87: Chapter 87: It’s So Satisfying to Hit People

This little girl managed to make four grown men spit blood?

Anyone else would think that was impossible.

But Wu Tian no longer thought so. He had once taught his little girl some of the Empress’s Dharma, and now he wondered if she possessed some kind of superhuman talent. In the Immortal Emperor Realm, physique was important, but it wasn’t everything. Besides physique, there were other factors, like aptitude, comprehension, and cultivation speed.

"Throw a punch for Daddy to see," Wu Tian said.

The little one shook her head. "That wouldn’t be very ladylike."

My dear daughter, have you ever actually *been* ladylike? Wu Tian truly wanted to say. But on second thought, he was her father. How could he say something like that to his own daughter?

"Then tell Daddy what happened," Wu Tian asked, holding her in his arms.

The little girl didn’t want to talk and tried to struggle free, but Wu Tian held her tight. When he didn’t want to let go, how could anyone possibly escape his embrace?

"Come on, my little princess, tell me. I want to hear about your heroic deeds," Wu Tian said, reaching out to playfully tweak her little nose.

The Little Kirin also stared at the girl, its curiosity piqued. It, too, wanted to know just how fierce its sister could be.

Seeing that her father wanted to hear about her heroic deeds, she thought for a moment. Children always love to show off, and she finally couldn’t hold back. "After school today, I saw four uncles. They said they’d give me candy if I went with them."

"And you refused?" Wu Tian asked.

The little one nodded.

"That’s right," Wu Tian said, sighing with relief. "They weren’t good people."

"I don’t know if they were good people or not, but I could tell their candy looked gross, so I didn’t go with them," the little one said with a huff. "They had no sincerity at all. They didn’t even offer any tasty candy."

"..." Wu Tian felt utterly defeated.

"And then what?" he asked again.

"I wouldn’t go with them, so they tried to pull me. I pulled them instead, and they just flew away, hit a wall, and started spitting up blood," the little one said earnestly, her big eyes fixed on Wu Tian, waiting for his praise.

"Impressive," Wu Tian said, finally understanding the look in her eyes.

The little girl clapped her hands happily. But after a moment, her expression soured again. She leaned into Wu Tian’s arms and said sadly, "But... but Sister Murong and Mommy said it’s wrong to hit people."

"Well, do you think hitting people is right?" Wu Tian asked with a smile, ruffling her hair.

The little girl’s adorable eyes widened. She thought about it, then finally spoke her mind with grave seriousness.

"I think hitting people is... awesome!"

"..."

Wu Tian had steeled himself and was able to withstand the force of that statement. Still, a child’s education was essential. Parents couldn’t leave everything to teachers. No teacher could possibly treat every student the same way. Sometimes, school was the best place to nurture a child, but it could also be the place that hurt them the most.

"Little one, you remember this," Wu Tian said solemnly. "Hitting people is, indeed, wrong."

"But," he continued, "if someone bullies you, don’t you be afraid. You hit them back, and you hit them hard. We don’t go looking for trouble, but we aren’t afraid of it, either."

Wu Tian’s face was serious. A gentle horse gets ridden, and a kind person gets taken advantage of. This was an iron law, even in the modern city.

The little girl stared blankly at Wu Tian, not expecting her father to speak to her like that.

After a long moment, she finally cheered. "That’s great! I can hit people! Papa, you know what? The feeling of sending someone flying is just the best!"

My daughter is destined to be a ruthless person one day. Wu Tian thought.

"Papa, can we sing another song? Please?" The little one’s mood had improved, and now her mind was back on singing.

"Sure." Wu Tian didn’t refuse. He could agree to any of his child’s requests, as long as they weren’t unreasonable. Singing was, in his eyes, a small matter.

"Papa, today let’s sing ’Laughter of the Blue Sea’!"

As she spoke, the little girl bounced up from the sofa and began to sing, "A single laugh in the great blue sea, surging tides on shores of weal and woe, to rise and fall with the waves, we only know today."

At this point, Wu Tian naturally had to join in, "The blue sky laughs at the world’s tides ever-flowing, who will lose and who will win, only heaven knows."

...

After singing for a while, Qin Yuhan returned, and everything proceeded as normal.

「The next day」

Wu Tian went to work, and the little girl went to kindergarten, just like any other day.

Back at the Group, Wu Tian noticed that the arrival of the Kuangte Family had made many people work even harder. He, on the other hand, was doodling idly at his desk, bored out of his mind. He had already read all the business books and could easily grasp a concept and apply it in numerous ways. To put it bluntly, I’m probably the greatest business mind in all of Dragon Country now.

Wu Tian wanted to slip away. He was starting to get restless with this office job. In novels, the main characters flirt with women at the company, but in reality, that’s pretty difficult.

He wanted to leave the Group. However, he also knew that if he were gone from his post for even a single morning, Qin Yuhan would definitely throw a fit. Then, Murong Yezi and the little one would both ignore him completely. The three women in his house were, in some respects, all on the same team.

For now, Wu Tian had no choice but to waste time at the company. However, he knew there was one opportunity that might convince Qin Yuhan to let him do his own thing. Telling her about Xiao Liang would only frighten her. Anyone who had ever read about the Five Surnames and Seven Families knew how terrifying they were.

The opportunity lay in something Qin Yuhan had mentioned. She would soon be holding a simulation test for the Group’s employees. She wanted everyone to treat this practice opportunity as if it were the real test from the Kuangte Family, following all of its specifications. To avoid discouraging anyone, the rankings of this simulation wouldn’t be published; instead, each person would simply receive their own score report. It was essentially a warm-up for the Kuangte Family’s test, the same in nature as a mock exam before the college entrance exam.

Lin Fa was studying a business case involving a supermarket, his brow deeply furrowed. He was gnawing on his pen so hard it was making audible cracking sounds.

Seeing this, Wu Tian smiled. "What part are you stuck on? I can teach you. I’m bored anyway."

"It’s about a supermarket in Arthur Country," Lin Fa explained. "It’s short on funds, and most of its products are past their expiration date. The question is, how can it stay in business?" 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

"Simple. First, for all the expired goods, you clearly label them and sell them at a marked-down price, making sure customers know they’re past their expiration date. Second, if you don’t have funds, you can..."

With just a few simple sentences, Wu Tian outlined a plan that could bring the supermarket back from the brink.

Lin Fa’s eyes widened. "Boss, you’re a genius! You’re my idol!"

"Fatty, are you trying to be He Shen? Too bad I’m not Qianlong," Wu Tian laughed.

But just then, a commotion erupted from downstairs.

"Who is Gugu’s father?"

"Who is it?"

"Get out here!"
