Chapter 125: Chapter 125: The Path to Conquest

After his debut, Lu Yunsheng had been invincible, backed by his own strength and Wudang. Seeing Guli Weileng remain silent and cold, Lu Yunsheng gritted his teeth. He had only been using seventy percent of his strength. He was known for treating women with tenderness, but now he had no choice but to unleash his full power.

"Junior Sister, be careful. Senior Brother is about to use his full strength. For the greater good of Wudang, please don’t hold it against me." After this grand-sounding declaration, Lu Yunsheng once again executed his Tai Chi.

"Fine. I’ll use my full strength as well," Guli Weileng said coldly.

Just moments ago, she had seemingly used only sixty percent of her power. Now, she unleashed the full might of her Tai Chi. Her fist moved slowly, yet it seemed to possess a sticky quality, redirecting Lu Yunsheng’s punch to the side. At the same time, she used his own momentum against him, sending a surge of power striking his body. His face instantly turned pale.

As Guli Weileng exerted her force, Lu Yunsheng was sent flying backward, crashing heavily to the ground and spitting out a mouthful of blood. The white suit that had made him look like a Prince Charming was now completely soiled, and his hair was a mess. He looked no better than a beggar.

Looking at Lu Yunsheng’s sorry state, Guli Weileng sighed. Out of respect for their shared apprenticeship, she said, "Senior Brother, you’ve lost. You should go back. You’re a good person, but we really aren’t suited for each other."

Wu Tian, watching from the side, simply shook his head. Guli Weileng was still far too emotional. He could see that Lu Yunsheng’s aptitude was nowhere near that of the great Zhang Sanfeng. The martial potential of the man who created Tai Chi couldn’t possibly be as low as Lu Yunsheng’s. So why did the people of Wudang always claim that Lu Yunsheng had the aptitude of Zhang Sanfeng? First, they were blind. Second, they were giving Lu Yunsheng—and themselves—a sliver of false hope.

How ridiculous.

Furthermore, Wu Tian had also discerned from Lu Yunsheng’s features that he was indeed destined to become the Sect Leader of Wudang. Under his leadership, Wudang would grow stronger day by day. However, it wouldn’t become monstrously powerful or strong enough to rival a nation. At best, it would be a Jianghu sect capable of suppressing a single province. Unfortunately, the man could only love himself, which was why Wudang’s disciples would eventually abandon him.

Guli Weileng looked over to Wu Tian. After a moment’s thought, she suddenly asked, "So, did my fighting look good?"

Wu Tian smiled. "You’re still a long way off."

Lu Yunsheng glanced at Guli Weileng and saw the entranced look in her eyes as she gazed at Wu Tian. He realized she had never looked at anyone else with such an expression before. A sudden thought struck him, and his face darkened. Without another word, he scrambled into his Ferrari and sped away in a disheveled mess.

Wu Tian turned his gaze to Guli Weileng, studying her features for a moment. To him, Guli Weileng was a friend. Besides, it was rumored that to surpass the Immortal Emperor and reach the other shore, one must gather the power of the thirty-six unique Physiques and master the seventy-two Divine Skills. Guli Weileng possessed one of those thirty-six unique Physiques.

Guli Weileng noticed Wu Tian’s steady gaze and asked with a smile, "Do you find me beautiful?"

"You’re not bad," Wu Tian replied.

Guli Weileng sighed. She felt her relationship with Wu Tian was too complicated. She wanted to be with him, but she didn’t want to destroy his family. Her heart was suddenly a tangled mess.

"Be careful of your master," Wu Tian said before turning to leave.

Guli Weileng frowned slightly. Why would Wu Tian warn her about her master? She had always felt that her master treated her very well.

Wu Tian returned home. It was already past seven in the evening. He cooked some noodles in the kitchen, and as he came out, Qin Yuhan was just coming downstairs, drying her freshly washed hair with a towel. At that moment, she possessed a different kind of beauty, as captivating as a lotus emerging from clear water. Wu Tian, however, merely offered a faint smile.

She glanced at him and noticed his gaze was clear, devoid of any infatuation with her figure, which inexplicably annoyed her. She walked over to the sofa, sat down, and casually propped her long, fair legs up, placing her feet on the coffee table. If the little one weren’t asleep, she would never dare act like this, afraid of setting a bad example. In her child’s heart, she wanted her mommy to be absolutely perfect.

Wu Tian was a little surprised to see this side of her. So the rumored ice-queen CEO has this side to her when she’s alone?

Carrying two bowls of noodles, Wu Tian walked over and placed them on the coffee table. As he did, he noticed something. From his angle, the soft silk bathrobe Qin Yuhan was wearing offered him an unobstructed view. He could clearly see the dark forest and the beautiful strawberries within. His expression remained impassive; to him, it was nothing significant.

He commented lightly, "Hey, you’re letting the family secrets out."

"What?" Qin Yuhan froze for a second before realizing what he meant. She immediately pulled her feet down, her face flushing as she snapped, "Pervert!"

"I’m your husband," Wu Tian said with a calm smile. "It’s perfectly normal for me to see, isn’t it?"

"But I don’t want anyone to see, especially not you!"

Wu Tian shrugged. "Too bad. I didn’t just see it now. I also used it four years ago."

"You..." Qin Yuhan flushed with shame and anger, pointing at him, utterly at a loss for words.

Ignoring her, Wu Tian simply picked up his chopsticks and began to eat the noodles with relish. Theoretically, with his current cultivation, he wouldn’t have any problem forgoing food entirely. But eating had become a habit—a part of his own Dao.

Qin Yuhan huffed and looked away, but her beautiful eyes betrayed her. She was genuinely starving. Having been busy all day without a single proper meal, her stomach was already growling. Seeing Wu Tian eat with such gusto, combined with the tantalizing aroma of the noodles, was almost more than she could bear. But she didn’t know how to ask. Wu Tian had brought out two bowls, so logically, one had to be for her, right? Yet he hadn’t placed a bowl in front of her. Instead, both sat before him. Qin Yuhan couldn’t bring herself to shamelessly beg, but she desperately wanted to eat.

For Qin Yuhan, this was pure torture.

I’m just suffering for my own pride. If he would just say something nice and give me an out... or even just offer me the noodles, I’d probably eat them. So why isn’t he saying anything?

Of course, Wu Tian noticed the change in her expression and chuckled to himself; he wanted her to be truly honest with him.

"Mmm, these noodles may have simple ingredients, but the flavor is incredible," he said, deliberately loud enough for her to hear. "I doubt you could find noodles this delicious anywhere else. They’re truly exquisite."
