Rejected by the Campus Belle, I Find My True Love-Chapter 103 - 102 Introducing My Bestie to You
With a black bow perched atop her head and her hair tied in a sassy high ponytail, Si Wen was the very picture of a private school girl, embodying a charm so cute it felt almost illegal.
The two of them appeared at Yanbei University’s North Gate.
Today, just like yesterday, there was no snow, nor were there any howling north winds. They simply stood there quietly, waiting for Xue Yang’s class to end.
Passersby couldn’t help but stop and stare. I wonder who those two beautiful young ladies are waiting for.

In Master Miejue’s office, Xue Yang and the other students were handling the final handover for their project.
"It’s getting late," said Professor Gong Li. "I know many of you are eager to head home, get some rest, or go on dates. Once we’re back from the holidays and the project payment comes through, I’ll treat everyone to a big meal."
A wave of gratitude washed over the students. After all, everyone was exhausted from working for so long and just wanted to put the project behind them for a proper break. Going out for dinner or a late-night meal right now wouldn’t bring any real joy; it would just feel like an obligation.
As they left Master Miejue’s office, Cui Hao clapped him on the shoulder.
"Xue Yang, happy New Year in advance!"
"Happy New Year!"
The two exchanged smiles before parting ways. The other students wished each other a happy New Year and dispersed as well.

At the North Gate entrance, Miss Si Wen had never waited for anyone for more than five minutes in her life. Now, over half an hour had passed, and there was still no sign of Xue Yang. Her impatience morphed into genuine irritation.
"Didn’t he say 11:30? And you insisted we get here at 11:00. Look at the time, it’s 11:50 and he’s still not here! Usually, the boyfriend waits for the girlfriend, but with you, it’s completely backward."
Lin Xi, however, showed no trace of impatience. She just watched the North Gate quietly, wanting to be the first to see Xue Yang the moment he emerged so she could run to him.
Hearing Si Wen’s complaint, she replied, "I already told you, you don’t have to wait."
"Nope. I’m gonna wait."
Lin Xi’s eyes were fixed on the school gate when, suddenly, she spotted a tall figure slowly appearing in the distance. Though it was just a blurry silhouette, she knew instantly that it was Xue Yang.
Lin Xi’s eyes immediately brightened, and Si Wen noticed the shift in her expression. She followed Lin Xi’s gaze but saw nothing, which made her doubt herself.
Could it be that lovers really have a psychic connection?!
The figure drew closer and closer, and soon, Xue Yang appeared at the school gate.
Unable to restrain herself any longer, Lin Xi broke into a sprint.
"Xue Yang!"
Hearing her voice, Xue Yang turned to see a graceful figure rushing toward him. He opened his arms and caught her securely.
As if they had done it a thousand times, his large hand supported the little kitten’s bouncy bottom as he lifted her, walked right past Si Wen, and headed for the hotel.
"Have you been waiting long?"
"Not long. I timed it perfectly."
"Your little bottom is ice-cold, and you still say you haven’t been waiting long?"
"But I missed you! I just wanted to see you as soon as possible. Even if it’s just an extra minute or a second, that time belongs to us."
"You’re right."
Si Wen could only watch, speechless. Did they forget something?
Just as they were about to step onto the road to cross, Si Wen finally snapped and shouted in protest, "Hey! Aren’t you two forgetting something?"
Only then did Lin Xi remember her. "Oh, Xue Yang, I forgot to introduce you. This is my bestie, Si Wen. She came today, too."
Xue Yang stopped and turned around, only to see a petite, adorable girl glaring at them with her cheeks puffed out in anger—or more accurately, glaring at him. She was so petite, and with her high school uniform, Xue Yang had to forgive himself for genuinely not noticing her earlier.
Carrying Lin Xi, Xue Yang walked back to Si Wen.
"Hello!"
"Hello!"
"My name is Xue Yang. I’m Lin Xi’s boyfriend. It’s nice to meet you."
"My name is Si Wen. I’m Lin Xi’s bestie. Nice to meet you, too."
The two exchanged curt introductions. Nestled in Xue Yang’s arms, Lin Xi glanced between him and Si Wen, sensing a strange tension in the air.
"Shouldn’t you put her down?" Si Wen said. "The two of you are making me stand out, and while I am stunning, I’d prefer to keep a low profile. I don’t want to be gawked at."
"I’m sorry, I can’t," Xue Yang replied.
"Why not?"
"The ground is too slippery. This klutz is prone to falling; she nearly slipped just last night."
"Then how did she and I get over here? Did we slide all the way?"
"That was then. Now that I’m here, it’s my job to make sure she doesn’t fall."
Lin Xi blushed and buried her face in Xue Yang’s chest, too embarrassed to be seen. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Defeated, Si Wen could only follow behind them, a look of bitter grievance on her face.
"I’m hungry, I want to eat," she announced. "I came looking for you two as soon as my class ended, and I haven’t even eaten yet."
"Then let’s go eat," Xue Yang said.
Lin Xi asked, "Where should we go?"
Si Wen looked at Xue Yang. "I’ll make the arrangements. You’re treating."
With that, she gave a slight wave. Not far away, a Rolls-Royce that had been on standby glided over and stopped beside them.
Lin Xi hadn’t expected Si Wen to pull a move like this and quickly explained, "Si Wen... her family is rather well-off. She’s had a personal car and driver to take her to and from school since she was little."
"I see." Xue Yang was genuinely stunned for a moment when he saw the Rolls-Royce. After all, Si Wen was only a high school student.
A bodyguard in sunglasses got out of the driver’s seat and held the door open for Si Wen.
"Xue Yang, you can put me down now!"
Xue Yang set Lin Xi down, and the two of them got into the car from the other side.
Lin Xi sat in the middle, with Xue Yang and Si Wen on either side of her. The car sped down the road.
As expected of a Rolls-Royce, the back seat was spacious enough that the three of them weren’t cramped at all. At least, Si Wen wasn’t cramped; Lin Xi and Xue Yang were practically sharing a single seat. The ride was incredibly quiet. You couldn’t hear the engine at all, let alone the whoosh of the wind outside. So quiet, in fact, that you could hear each other’s heartbeats.
Gripping the steering wheel firmly, the bodyguard knew Miss Si Wen well enough to recognize that she was currently furious. Absolutely furious. However, the angrier she became, the more expressionless her face grew, giving the impression she wasn’t upset at all.
Meanwhile, the two culprits beside her were snuggled closely together.
It was now past midnight, meaning they had one less day to spend together. Of course, they didn’t want to waste a single minute or second of it.
