"Your Majesty!"

That call made Emperor De Louis, who was discussing strategies with his subordinates to save and protect his people, as well as to kill the monsters in this empire, and remove the dark sky from this empire, turned his head. The expression on his face showed displeasure. Of course, it was because one of the imperial knights who had just arrived in front of him had behaved impolitely in front of him.

"Have you lost your mind?!" exclaimed the Emperor. "Why are you raising your voice in front of me?!"

"Forgive my impudence, Your Majesty. But, this is a very important issue!" The knight knelt before the Emperor. "I just received information from the palace prison that His Highness the Crown Prince disappeared."

"What?!"

"And, the two guards in charge of monitoring and guarding His Highness the Crown Prince are also not there," the knight reported again. "We don’t know what happened to those two but... most likely they were killed and... melted."

"Melt you say?!" Emperor De Louis was wide-eyed. "What do you mean by melting?!"

"That... we only found their clothes on the floor, Your Majesty. And, near the clothes there was a lot of blood."

Emperor De Louis growled and clenched both of his fists. Suddenly, another knight came and immediately knelt before the Emperor. His face was very panicked and sweaty.

"Your Majesty! I just got a report that His Highness the Crown Prince blew up Gerwyn’s mansion. He also attacked Duke Edmund, Prince Ethan, and everyone there. Two people were seriously injured and His Highness the Crown Prince is still fighting with Duke Edmund!"

"That brat is truly shameless!" the Emperor growled. He looked at all of his subordinates. "Do as we said just now! Then, summon all the knights who have abilities above that of the Crown Prince! Also, call the imperial wizards! We’ll be heading to Gerwyn’s mansion soon. I will drag my son away right now!"

After saying that, the Emperor put on clothes that were more comfortable for fighting. He also brought his sword and immediately asked the imperial wizards to teleport himself and the knights he brought to Gerwyn’s mansion.

Arriving at Edmund Gerwyn’s mansion, everything was very messy. The Emperor ordered some of the knights to help the people in Gerwyn’s mansion and save Duchess Penelope and her children. Others followed Emperor De Louis to look for the whereabouts of that damn Crown Prince.

"Hey, have you seen Crown Prince Sebastian?" asked one of the knights to the servant at the Gerwyn mansion he met. The waiter frowned and shook his head.

"I didn’t see the Crown Prince. There was an explosion from Duke Edmund’s study and we immediately ran away."

"What about the Duchess?" asked the Emperor. "Also the Prince and the Princess?"

"The Duchess, the Prince, and the Princess are not in the mansion, Your Majesty the Emperor," said the servant in a trembling tone. He was shocked when he realized that there was Emperor De Louis in front of him. "They are in the Abelavish empire."

When the servant left, Chris suddenly appeared before the Emperor and the knights he brought. The man could feel the Emperor’s presence and immediately came to this place. Chris knelt in front of him and said, "Your Majesty, forgive my impudence in not greeting you. But, your son is currently in Duke Edmund’s study and fighting with Duke Edmund."

"Show me where Duke Edmund’s study is!" Emperor De Louis ordered in a sharp tone. "I will personally drag that damn Crown Prince and lock him up in prison again!"

Chris immediately took the Emperor and the knights to Edmund Gerwyn’s study. As soon as Chris opened the door, he froze. Likewise with Emperor De Louis and everyone who followed the Emperor. They didn’t react when they saw Sebastian De Louis stabbing Edmund Gerwyn in the heart with his sword. How Ethan Askary shouted Edmund Gerwyn’s name. Then, the pink light appeared behind Sebastian De Louis. Penelope Askary stood there with a sharp and cold gaze. Her beautiful face was full of tears. She opened her palm and the pink light threw Sebastian into the wall.

"May I kill him, Your Majesty?" Penelope asked in a cold tone. "If you want to protect your bastard and shameless son, then I will destroy this empire with the power of Goddess Elleia that I possess! Saintess? Ha! I could turn into a Devil if I knew my family and loved ones had to suffer and be killed by bastards like the Crown Prince of this empire!"

Edmund Gerwyn blinked.

He glanced around him. He didn’t recognize this place. The Duke walked slowly and carefully. Then, Edmund stopped walking when he heard the sound of the door opening. He turned his head and froze when he saw a beautiful woman enter the room.

"Wait. Isn’t she... Sienna? She’s... Penelope Askary in another world, isn’t she?" Edmund looked at the woman with doubtful eyes. The woman threw something on the table and lay down on the bed.

"Ah... I’m so tired," said the woman named Sienna. Edmund looked around him again. This place was unfamiliar but the man remembered he had been here when he was trying to pick up Penelope who was trapped in the world created for her by Goddess Oizys. "I need Duke Edmund."

Edmund blinked and pointed at himself. "Huh? Me?"

Edmund saw the woman take a book. The Duke was sure Sienna couldn’t see him. He walked over to Sienna and peeked at the contents of the book the woman was reading. Strangely, Edmund could read the writing in the book even though this was the first time he had seen such writing.

"Poor Duke Edmund," said Sienna, making Edmund look at her again. "He was in love with Penelope Askary but couldn’t be together because the darkness controlled his mind. The man had to kill the woman he loved with his own two hands. In the end, Duke Edmund destroyed the empire when he realized he had killed Penelope Askary." Sienna closed the book and sighed. "Penelope Askary is also a very strong woman. She was willing to suffer as long as Duke Edmund was not harmed by Isabella Lysander. If I were Penelope, I wouldn’t do something stupid like that. I will fight Isabella and tell Duke Edmund the truth. Then, with the power of our love, we will defeat Isabella and the forces of darkness."

Edmund looked down and closed his eyes.

Edmund put the small ball in his mouth and bit it. Then, his body started emitting blue light. Little by little, his body began to disappear.

"Goodbye, Edmund Gerwyn," said Penelope, waving her hand. She tilted her head and smiled sweetly. "I love you so much."
