Amy closed the door to Isabella Lysander’s room slowly and took a deep breath.
The maid walked into the kitchen to make Isabella’s favorite milk. She felt very sorry for the woman. Amy already considered Isabella Lysander as her own older sister. At first, Amy didn’t know that Isabella was just pretending to have amnesia. However, Amy overheard Isabella muttering alone in front of the mirror while crying. Of course, Amy was shocked. She tries to ask carefully and Isabella admits she was indeed faking her amnesia for everyone’s good. She also asked Amy to help her run away from the Abelavish imperial palace.
"What should I do?" Amy muttered. She stirred Isabella’s favorite chocolate milk and took a deep breath. "I have to think of a way to get Lady Isabella out of the palace. I will also resign from my job at the palace and follow Lady Isabella wherever she goes. Lady Isabella is pregnant and I can’t possibly let her go alone. Plus, Lady Isabella isn’t amnesiac. He—"
"What do you mean?"
Amy screamed and turned her body around. She widened her eyes and froze when she saw Helios Rune Abelavish, Jeremy, and Ethan Askary at the kitchen door. Amy immediately looked down and her body trembled. She didn’t dare to look up when she heard footsteps approaching.
"What did you say just now?" Ethan asked again. His voice was much colder and sharper than before. Ethan just wanted to find a quiet place to rest and calm himself down and he accidentally met Helios. Then, the Crown Prince of the Abelavish empire told him to come with him to the kitchen because the man was going to make some food for Ethan. Ethan didn’t even know that a Crown Prince like Helios could cook. And, when they reached the kitchen, they heard Amy muttering to herself. "Isabella is leaving this palace and she doesn’t have amnesia?!"
"Amy," Jeremy immediately stood next to Amy and grabbed the maid’s shoulder. Meanwhile, Helios tried to calm Ethan, who was starting to be unable to control his anger. Helios understood that Ethan was angry. If Isabella didn’t have amnesia, that meant the woman had lied to all of them. "Tell His Highness Helios and Prince Ethan the truth. If you tell the truth, they will forgive you. I’m sure you’re not a bad person, right? Don’t you feel sorry for Prince Ethan? Of all people, Prince Ethan was the saddest when he found out that Lady Isabella couldn’t remember him."
Amy slowly raised her face. The woman looked very pale. She was already crying and suddenly Amy fell to her knees.
"I’m sorry Your Highness Helios, Prince Ethan," Amy said in a scared tone. "I... just don’t want to betray Lady Isabella. I also accidentally discovered that Lady Isabella had no amnesia. I heard Lady Isabella say that what she did was for the good of everyone. Lady Isabella also plans to leave the palace in two days. Lady Isabella was also very sad to have to do this. Ethan Askary clenched his jaw and gritted his teeth. Why did Isabella do this? That woman did this for everyone’s good? Doesn’t she know that what she’s doing will only make everyone sad and suffer?

"Prince Ethan, I’m sure Lady Isabella has a lot on her mind," Helios said, cutting Ethan off. "And, we also have to find out why Lady Isabella did this."
Ethan was silent and looked down. He clenched his fists at his sides. But, Ethan had to be patient. What Helios said was true. The man growled and threw the glass on the floor. He tried to control his ragged breathing and closed his eyes while taking a deep breath. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

Penelope Askary blinked and looked around.
She was in the backyard of Gerwyn’s mansion. It seemed like her divine power had unknowingly teleported her to another place. But, why? Was it because she was very angry with Edmund and didn’t want to meet the Duke?
"I’m so tired," Penelope muttered. She massaged the bridge of her nose and walked towards the mansion. Suddenly, Penelope stopped in her tracks. The woman stared intently into the distance. Somehow, she could feel it. The disgusting mana which feels so familiar. The Duchess took out a small dagger that she always carried everywhere and threw it in the direction where the stranger came from. As expected, the dagger was thrown far away and Penelope immediately became alert. "You don’t need to hide yourself like that, Philleo Aaron. I can feel your extremely disgusting mana."
A laugh was heard and the magic circle appeared. Then, Philleo Aaron appeared while grinning.
"I’m so flattered," said Philleo in an amazed tone. "You know me very well, Penelope Askary."
"What are you doing here?!" Penelope exclaimed. She snapped her fingers behind her back, giving a signal to Helios Rune Abelavish regarding the current situation. Helios had taught her how to give signals using magic and Penelope had remembered it perfectly. She was still angry with Edmund but the woman also realized that she couldn’t fight Philleo Aaron alone with her current strength. "Do you want to kidnap and hurt my children again?!"
Philleo chuckled and shrugged. "I had that intention but I will forget about it for now. I came here after seeing your quarrel with Edmund Gerwyn at Abelavish palace."
Penelope frowned. "What?"
"You didn’t realize I was there. That means, my magic for hiding my presence is very good."
"But, I could immediately tell where you were just now!" Penelope exclaimed.
"That’s because I allowed you to feel my presence." Philleo Aaron approaches Penelope. "Don’t you want to know how I can be in the Abelavish palace and know all of your movements?"
To be honest, Penelope was very curious about this. But, she didn’t want to ask. She didn’t want to get caught in the game created by the bastard in front of her.
"Because I was watching and stalking Isabella Lysander."
"What?"
"I have to kill that woman. That is the only way I can have you, Penelope Askary."
"You’re crazy!" Penelope shouted. "Did you think I would let you kill my best friend?!"
"Didn’t Edmund Gerwyn also intend to hurt that woman?"
Penelope froze. The woman widened her eyes.
"I heard all of your conversations, Penelope. Also, about first life or something like that. I didn’t expect this to be our second life. That man abandoned you and killed you in your first life because of Isabella Lysander, right?"
Penelope remained silent. She gritted her teeth.
"And he scolded you, didn’t he? He doesn’t understand your feelings." Philleo stood right in front of Penelope and touched her cheek. The woman stared intently at Philleo’s purple eyes. "If that man can’t understand you, why are you staying by his side? Hm?"
Very sweet words. Penelope felt she was persuaded by Philleo’s words just now. Philleo was right. Why would she still stay by the side of a man who doesn’t understand what she wants? Why would she stay with a cruel and cold-blooded man like Edmund Gerwyn?
Seeing Penelope just silent and looking like she was thinking, the grin on Philleo’s face grew wider. The man stroked Penelope’s hair gently and lovingly.
"Just leave a man like that, Penelope. If you go with me, you will feel much happier. I will not harm your children and will take care of them as if they were my own flesh and blood. I also promise you not to kill your good friend, Isabella Lysander. How about that? A very sweet offer, isn’t it?"
Penelope closed her eyes. She could feel someone caressing her heart very gently and it made Penelope feel at peace, for some reason. It was as if someone was hugging her but she didn’t have the strength to fight the hug. And, when Penelope opened her eyes, she saw Edmund Gerwyn in front of her.
"Ed?"
The man smiled and nodded. Then, he held Penelope’s hand tightly and kissed her forehead. After that, the man hugged Penelope, making Penelope smile and inhale Edmund’s scent.
"I missed you," Penelope whispered. "I’m sorry I said those hurtful words to you, Ed."
The man nodded and grinned. A grin that Penelope couldn’t see. He managed to trick Penelope because right now, the woman saw him as Edmund Gerwyn and was trapped in the world he created.
"Welcome to my world, my beloved Penelope Askary," said Philleo Aaron as he tightened his embrace and stroked the woman’s hair.
When a golden magic circle suddenly appeared and Edmund Gerwyn along with Helios Rune Abelavish appeared in front of Philleo Aaron, the purple-eyed man waved at Edmund and immediately disappeared. However, before the man disappeared with Penelope, Philleo said something to Edmund.
"I have finally snatched this woman from you, Edmund Gerwyn! And I will make sure you will never be able to find and have Penelope Askary again forever!"
