Ethan started to become alert. The man straightened his back. His eyes darted around him, trying to find out whether there was anything suspicious or not. But, this was the Abelavish imperial palace. Ethan thought it was impossible for anyone to dare commit a crime in the palace, where many imperial knights guarded this place.
"Watching you like what?" Ethan asked. He still didn’t want to let his guard down. Isabella’s safety is his priority. He didn’t want to lose that woman.
"Staring at me from a distance, following me as I strolled through the squares of the Abelavish empire." Isabella sighed and massaged her temples. "I know I’m always protected by knights commanded by His Highness Helios but I’m sure that person always follows me. I could feel the killing aura that that person gave off toward me. I wonder if that person is the one Marquess Lysander ordered to drag me home."
"There’s no way Marquess Lysander is that stupid," Ethan shook his head. He rubbed his chin. "If he really ordered someone to kidnap you and drag you home, His Highness Helios will definitely be angry and report this incident to his Father.
