Information about Elisha Brown injuring Penelope Askary and going on a rampage like a woman who had lost her mind at Gerwyn’s mansion, as well as evidence that the woman was carrying an object containing black magic, reached Sebastian De Louis’ ears.
Sebastian started to panic. He clenched one hand into a fist and bit his thumb. If Elisha Brown opened her mouth and said that all of this was his plan, his orders, then his Father would definitely punish him with severe punishment. His Father might even cross out his name from the family register and banish him to the commoner’s area. Or, perhaps his Father would exile him to a very far place and forbid him from ever returning to this empire. "Dammit!" Sebastian hit the table in front of him repeatedly and tried to control his ragged breath. The panic began to turn into fear. "I can’t let this happen. I had to dump Elisha Brown. Tristan!"
Sebastian’s knight immediately stood in front of him and bowed to greet his master.
"Tristan, throw away all evidence that could corner me immediately. I don’t know Elisha Brown and I don’t know anything about what happened to Elisha Brown and Duchess Penelope. Do you understand?"
Tristan nodded. "Should I kill that woman to keep her from opening her mouth, Your Highness?"
That is a very good idea. But, Sebastian shouldn’t be careless. He was sure that Edmund Gerwyn had also heard this information and that the man would definitely take action against Elisha Brown and her family. Even so, Sebastian wasn’t sure whether Edmund would touch Gabriel Brown or not considering that the man was a head priest.
"No need. Let that be Duke Edmund’s job. Remember, we must not interfere with anything Duke Edmund plans to do. If Elisha Brown asks for help, deny all of her requests."
Tristan nodded again and immediately went to carry out Sebastian’s orders. In his empty study, Sebastian growled out loud and threw everything that was nearby. That fear has now turned into anger.
"Dammit! I failed again to take Penelope away from Edmund’s arms! If it continues like this, it seems like I have no other choice but to do the most extreme things possible to force Penelope to leave Edmund."

That bitch must be choking you pretty hard, right? Otherwise, your neck wouldn’t turn purple like this."
Penelope hissed in pain when Sarah touched the wound on the corner of her lip.
"Duchess?! Does it hurt that much?!" She exclaimed in panic. "Oh my God, what should I do? My fragile and weak Duchess was seriously injured because of the brazen actions of a rude woman like her!"
Penelope chuckled and ruffled Sarah’s hair. "Calm down, Sarah. I told you that I—"
"PENNY!"
Penelope blinked and massaged the bridge of her nose. Then, she looked at the door that was pushed very hard from the outside. The woman could see her husband running toward her with a panicked face and a worried look. Then, Edmund knelt in front of Penelope and immediately cupped her face. The Duke examined Penelope’s entire face and body, then clenched his jaw when he saw the various wounds on his beloved wife’s face and body.
"I will destroy the Brown family!" Edmund growled. He kissed Penelope’s forehead and stood up again. "Edward! Gather all the knights! We will soon go to the Brown family mansion and will give them a very severe punishment. Where is that bitch?!"

Marquess Brown jumped in surprise when his study was pushed hard from outside.
The man stood up from his chair and stared sharply at the knights who suddenly entered his study. Marquess Brown swallowed hard when he saw the Gerwyn family crest on the uniforms of the knights.
"What is this?" asked Marquess Brown in a firm tone. "Why did all of you suddenly enter my mansion like this? Don’t you know I am the Marquess of this empire?! I am a very important person to this empire and all of you are just knights of low status!"
One of the knights came forward while giving a letter to Marquess Brown.
"We came because of orders from Duke Edmund. This order has been approved by His Highness the Emperor," He said in a sharp tone. "We will bring all the members of the Brown family because Elisha Brown has hurt Duchess Penelope and dared to bring an object with black magic to make Duke Edmund bewitched by it!"
"Impossible!" shouted Marquess Brown. "This must be a misunderstanding! It was impossible for Elisha to use black magic. My eldest son is a head priest! He worships Goddess Elleia, as do I and the rest of my family. It’s impossible for Elisha to use that damned dangerous magic on the De Louis empire!"
"We are only carrying out the orders of the Duke and the Emperor, Marquess," said the knight again in a cold tone. He ordered his people to check the entire room and the entire mansion.
"Hey! What are you doing?!" Marquess Brown growled.
"We will check everything in this mansion. We suspect that there are other objects that have black magic like the object carried by Elisha Brown. Marquess, please come with us to the palace. Duke Edmund and the Emperor are already waiting for you there. Elisha Brown will also be taken there soon for questioning."
Two knights immediately grabbed Marquess Brown’s hands and dragged him toward the palace. Of course, the man struggled and continued to fight. However, none of the knights listened to his shout.

"You!" Edmund growled. The man had stood up from his chair but Emperor De Louis immediately grabbed his arm. The Emperor shook his head firmly, leaving Edmund unable to do anything. The Duke sat back down and tried to control his anger.
"I’ve asked the palace magician to check whether the object really has black magic in it according to what Duchess Penelope said. And the palace magician agreed to the Duchess’s words." The Emperor looked at Gabriel Brown. "Head priest, you are the man with the highest divine power in the temple. You can definitely recognize whether the object has black magic in it or not. How about you check it out too?"
Gabriel Brown nodded. He approached the Emperor and took the object from the Emperor’s hand. Then, after examining it for a few seconds, Gabriel looked down.
"Forgive my little sister, Your Highness, Duke Edmund. This thing does... have black magic in it."
"Gabriel!" exclaimed Marquess and Marchioness Brown. Then, the Marchioness looked at her eldest son in disbelief. "How can you say that about your own little sister?!"
"Mother, I am the head priest now. I have to tell the truth. Black magic is prohibited in the De Louis empire and Elisha has used it for very evil things. I can’t defend her just because she is my family."
"Gabriel!"
"Enough!" shouted the Emperor. The man took a deep breath and massaged his temples. This really gave him a headache. "Everything has been proven to be true.
