Chapter 767: Chapter 767: Banned From Reincarnation?

Kael looked at the new mission that had popped up at the top of the mission board. He was a little surprised because he was not the one who posted that mission.

It was Gabriel.

[Objective: Find Ruda’s reincarnation]

That part stood out like a red sore thumb.

Kael was just wondering why Ruda’s identity mark was still showing when this mission had been posted.

Kael turned around to look at Gabriel who met his gaze with a kind one.

"Her identity mark is still showing isn’t it?" Gabriel asked with a thin smile.

Kael nodded.

Gabriel already knew what an identity mark was, he had his own on the list of identity marks in the lion system.

Identity marks were just the representation of the lion system having a link to their soul.

If the identity mark was still showing, then it meant the soul was not only still in existence, but it still had a bit of access to the lion system.

Gabriel sighed, "If there was no guarantee before that she would get reincarnated, there was definitely a guarantee now.

I don’t know all the criteria that the Court of Reincarnation uses to determine who gets to reincarnate and who doesn’t but it’s safe to say that since her soul is still linked to the system, she would be.

If not, they would have discardher soul by now."

Gabriel spoke with a bit of experience. The Court of Reincarnation was a mysterious faction controlled exclusively by one race.

That race did not exist in the Original Heaven though as they had no need to be here.

His experience with them was usually based on what he had spent countless years studying through the observation pool.

With his new knowledge of the workings of the lion system, he could put things together to understand what was happening.

"Her identity mark is still there, Gabriel is right," Alexander said, putting his robed arms behind him and taking a look at the fight in the pool.

The clear sky sent down calming light, keeping the vibe at the observation lake serene and peaceful.

Kael thought about it and it made sense to him.

If Ruda was truly dead, her identity mark would have dissolved.

But it made him wonder, did that mean that all the lions and lionesses who had died before did not get to be reincarnated?

Really, it was a very heavy thought to think about.

There were only two explanations. It was either that the souls of lions would have their connection to the lion system wiped away after death.

It would explain some things and it would make sense if they were reincarnated without access to the lion system.

But there was also a much darker explanation that Kael came up with. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

The lions were barred from the reincarnation cycle. For every lion that died, they would be rejected from entering a cycle of Reincarnation.

Meaning, death was the ultimate end for all lions.

Kael knew this wasn’t supposed to be the case in the second explanation.

He had been a lion in his last life, although he was trapped in the human body of a disgraced man, it was still a lion at the core.

That was the only reasonable explanation for why he had been reincarnated as a lion out of all the countless creatures in the universe. There was no accident and it wasn’t random.

If that was the case, then Kael’s soul should not have been reincarnated even with him arguing.

So, if he was to go by the second explanation, it would mean that it was just recently that the Court of Reincarnation stopped reincarnating lions.

There was also the much simpler explanation that the power of the Court of Reincarnation was simply too strong for a lion system connection to be preserved in that place.

They would wipe the memories and everything that made them who they were, everything besides their origin.

It would make sense if they also wiped away the lion system. The system was not omnipotent after all.

Was this good news or bad news Kael had no way to tell right now.

All he knew was that Ruda’s identity mark was still showing, and according to Gabriel, there was a strong chance that she was reincarnated.

Kael looked down at the observation pool, he saw Ruda’s body surrounded on all sides by the other consorts who had arrived not long ago.

Ruda’s body was here, but her soul was somewhere else.

If she had been reincarnated, or was going to be reincarnated, how was he supposed to even find her?

Firstly, he himself could not find her since he was still trapped in Original Heaven, some would have to rely on others.

So annoying.

At least, Kael could give them some help.

He looked at the identity mark and wondered if he could track it. Technically, he could find the location of any lion or lioness as long as they were in Leonine Heaven.

And if they were in the mortalverse, he would have to be at least within the same galactic cluster or distance equivalent to them.

Thinking of something, Kael sent a message to Ruda’s status profile.

[Kael: Ruda.]

There was no reply, obviously, but the message had definitely been sent, Kael felt it.

He also sensed a general direction the message had been sent to.

He didn’t get a pinpoint coordinate, perhaps because the reincarnation process was not yet completed or something was happening wherever the soul was, but he had gotten a good general direction.

Kael immediately thought of contacting his best hunter, Ralph, but decided against it.

Ralph was busy with growing the collective Wolf Vassal for the Lion Hegemony, he didn’t want to keep him away from his duties.

Kael decided to send the information to the private chat group of the consorts.

There was no reward for that mission, Gabriel had not thought of it. But everyone would expect a reward if this were done.

The mission was posted on the public mission board, meaning that everyone in the Lion system saw it. But how they would find Ruda was a mystery.

Just when Kael thought that nothing could put him in a worse mood.

[Marcus: Your Majesty, something has happened.]

Kael frowned at the sudden message, having a bad feeling about this.

[Kael: What is it?

Marcus: The Owl Vassal and their chief have all defected, Your Majesty, they’ve rebelled.]
