System: Replicating The Heavens-Chapter 518: Ch : Successively Advancement (1)
Alex noticed that every member of the Mistveil Family possessed the Heaven Star Divine Body and cultivated the Heaven Star Sovereign Technique. They also wielded a unique innate ability known as Heaven Star Awakening.
Unfortunately, this physique was still not powerful enough to rival top special physiques like the Godfiend Poison Body and was ultimately devoured by his Primordial Chaos Body.
After this round of replication, Alex's Primordial Chaos Body was strengthened once more, its awakening rising from 17% to 20%, while his Supreme Undying Soul was also enhanced, reaching 40%.
Although Alex remained at the True Divinity Stage, his overwhelming strength was now enough to rival that of a Saint Sovereign. As a result, he was able to replicate Dao and Domains that normally only a Saint King could comprehend and wield.
So long as he desired, Alex could advance successively and effortlessly all the way to the Saint King Stage.
As for what Kael and Elara truly wanted from Alex and the others, Alex could sum it up in a single word: Serena.
Nothing more and nothing less.
Their purpose had never been concealed very well. They merely wished to speak with Serena and if possible, gain her favor. Alex was already aware that Serena's origins were anything but ordinary. Kael had clearly reached the same conclusion. Otherwise, someone of his standing would never lower himself to such deliberate courtesy.
When Serena stepped forward to face Kael, her expression remained calm and unhurried, as though their presence held no weight in her eyes at all. She neither showed caution nor curiosity. She showed natural indifference that came from absolute confidence.
More importantly, both Kael and Elara could sense the mystery lingering around her. It forced them to reevaluate her unconsciously, elevating her position in their minds and treating her with a seriousness far beyond what her cultivation alone would suggest.
As for Alex and others, they only felt a little left out.
As Alex looked outside the window of his room quietly, he couldn't help but think of his past experiences. After thinking carefully for a while, he shook his head and focused on his current situation.
"I should advance to the Saint Foundation Stage now," Alex said softly to himself.
But advancing was not simple.
To enter the Saint Foundation Stage, one must face the Three Stages of Saint Tribulation.
Alex looked at the city outside the window and slowly shook his head.
"If I go through Saint Tribulation here, the whole city will notice. Too many eyes will be drawn to me. Worse, the tribulation will disturb countless cultivators who are in seclusion."
Alex did not want to disturb anyone. Moreover, he disliked attention. If he were to go through Saint Tribulations inside the city, he would not only harm others accidentally, but he would also attract others' attention.
After a short pause, he made his decision. He knew that he had to find a quiet place, far away from people.
With that in mind, Alex went to find Serena, Selyara, and Elyndra. When they met, Alex spoke honestly. "I plan to leave the Star Essence World today at best, or perhaps tomorrow. I'm not sure. Anyways, this is where we part ways."
"What?" Elyndra stepped forward, surprise clear on her face. "Leaving? Just like that? Where are you going?"
Alex smiled faintly, but there was distance in that smile. He only said: "Somewhere I need to be."
Elyndra frowned. She didn't like vague answers, but something in his eyes told her not to push. So, even though she wanted to ask more, she stopped after seeing his expression.
Serena, on the other hand, spoke after a long silence. "I am also leaving this world today. I have somewhere I must go first."
Although Alex didn't know where she wanted to go, he knew it was not his place to ask anything. He nodded and said, "Then take care."
After a few simple words, Serena turned around and left.
It was then that Alex raised his hand and took out twenty Golden Source Crystals.
The moment Selyara and Elyndra saw him taking out 20 Golden Source Crystals, they froze. Their eyes widened, and their brows rose high in shock.
"Golden Source Crystals?!"
Both of them exclaimed at once. Their breathing stopped, and their hearts trembled.
"Are you serious? Where did you even find these Golden Source Crystals? And you are giving these to just like that?" Selyara exclaimed in an unsteady voice, questioning Alex continuously. She wasn't able to keep her calm at all. In fact, it wasn't just her. Even Elyndra was so shocked that she was unable to utter a single word.
After all, they were World Devouring Beasts. To evolve into Galaxy Devouring Beasts, each of them needed ten Golden Source Crystals. Such treasures were incredibly rare. Even Immortals might not possess them easily.
Yet now, a True Divinity had taken out twenty at once.
How could they not be shocked?
Without hesitation, Selyara and Elyndra accepted them. Each took ten Golden Source Crystals.
"Thank you," Elyndra said seriously.
Alex looked at them and said, "Hey, what are you thanking me for? It is what I should do."
"Moreover, I'm not taking you two with me. You need to grow stronger and explore the universe on your own. When the time is right or when I need you, I will find you. And if fate allows, we may accidentally meet again."
Although Elyndra was reluctant, she didn't pester Alex. She had already grown up and understood many things. So, they both nodded and agreed to meet again sometime in the future.
After settling everything, Alex left the city.
He flew for a long time before the land below him finally changed. The crowded buildings and endless noise of Star City disappeared far behind him, replaced by a vast forest that stretched as far as the eye could see.
From above, the forest looked like a green ocean, its surface rising and falling with countless ancient trees. As Alex descended, the air grew thicker, filled with rich spiritual energy and the faint scent of soil, leaves, and age. The trees here were unimaginably tall, covered in moss and deep cracks that spoke of countless years. Their branches stretched high into the sky, blocking most of the sunlight and casting the forest floor into deep, shifting shadows.
Alex landed softly on the ground, his feet barely making a sound. He stood still for a moment, feeling the freshness of the forest around him. Then he started going deeper into the forest.
He moved forward calmly. The deeper he went, the darker his surroundings became. At the same time, the spiritual pressure in the air grew stronger, and the ground became rougher, covered in thick roots and fallen leaves.
What is more, a terrifying aura suddenly surged nearby more than once. These auras belonged to Saint Stage beasts. They must have sensed him, thus responded. Low roars echoed through the trees, shaking branches and sending birds fleeing into the sky.
Each time this happened, Alex did not fight. Instead, he would use his teleportation skill to vanish and reappear far away, deeper into the forest. His teleportation skill was smooth and precise, leaving no trace behind. To him, fighting these beasts now would only waste time and energy. His goal was not them.
Just like that, Alex continued to move deeper into the forest while avoiding every danger.
Hours passed just like that.
At last, the forest slowly began to thin. The ancient trees were still present, but they were fewer in number, leaving behind a slightly open area. The ground here was flat and bare, with only scattered grass and broken stone. Above, the sky could finally be seen clearly.
Alex stopped right at this place.
He looked around once more, his senses spreading out in all directions. Only when he sensed that no beasts were present in the area of a few hundred miles around him did he nod and muttered, "This place will do. I can start going through the Three Stages of Saint Tribulations here."
Thus, Alex sat down cross-legged on the ground and slowly closed his eyes. His breathing became steady as he began to circulate his cultivation technique—Primordial Chaos Nine Transformation.
Not long after he started circulating his cultivation method, the world responded with a loud rumble.
Rumble~
The sky darkened almost instantly. Dark clouds gathered from every direction, rolling and twisting like massive waves. The air grew heavy, pressing down on the forest with terrifying force. Wind howled violently, bending trees and tearing leaves from their branches.
Crackle~
The clouds churned faster and faster, and within them, bright red lightning flickered like the eyes of furious beasts. Each flash lit up the world for a brief moment, revealing a scene that felt apocalyptic.
At the same time, a terrifying pressure descended from above, locking onto Alex alone.
The Saint Tribulation had arrived just like that.
Now, all Alex needed to do was hold on and pass the tribulations, and he could become a Saint Foundation Stage warrior.
