Chapter 537: Chapter 537: The Tigers Are Bold

[The Great Purification:

Mission Update.

The great cleansing of heaven cannot be complete if we defeat the traitors and sinners, yet allow foreigners to dwell in our sacred realm.

Their presence taints heaven and dilutes the law, it must be fixed.

Objective: Remove all foreign creatures from Leonine Heaven at any means necessary.

Reward: Random Discount per creature removed from heaven.

Failure: The extinction of the lion race.]

That was the new mission update that appeared on the mission board that morning.

Unlike the first few days of Kael’s arrival which had a lot of violence and conflict, this one was quite calm with the reactions.

That same morning, Kael secretly returned to her Massive Black Pyramid with Katari and Exalon.

At first, no one noticed anything. The first to observe that something had changed was Priya when she wanted to have a chat with Kael concerning the visitors who had been waiting for him.

Priya, being the most perceptive toward emotions noticed that Kael was barely showing any emotions.

That shouldn’t be right.

Kael was not a psychopath like Katari, he should be fully capable of having and experiencing emotions even though he could master them and suppress them.

But Priya could sense that Kael wasn’t even trying to suppress his emotions, they just didn’t exist.

If that were so, then it would mean that Kael had become a psychopath like Katari.

Alas, that didn’t seem to be the case.

Priya saw that Kael’s emotions had been replaced by something else entirely.

Intent.

The Conqueror’s Intent.

Kael had not become some unfeeling robot with no sense of self. In fact, his sense of self was the only thing he could feel.

Priya couldn’t imagine how someone could be comfortable living such a cursed existence. Nothing to guide the mental space except intent.

That meant that all the joy or sadness he could ever feel was not a result of actual emotions but his intent toward conquest.

As she conversed with Kael casually in the meeting room, she paid attention to the way he was talking to her, the way he addressed different topics, and the way he reacted to possible problems.

She noticed that there were slight differences from the past. Someone who wasn’t very observant wouldn’t have known this.

First, every word that came out of Kael’s mouth had an authoritative tone, as though he was perfectly sure that everything he said was correct.

It sounded like someone who could never see any wrong in his actions as his existence itself was the absolute right.

Kael was now less shy to say the blunt and brutal truth. If he didn’t like someone, unless he had another motive, he would usually say it or just try to get rid of the person until someone stopped him.

Fortunately, most of the people that Kael didn’t like as if now were those who were knowingly or unknowingly standing in his way.

Unfortunately, those people were a lot.

Because of that, Kael looked to be in an irritable mood almost every second as he was just thinking of how to eliminate all the threats.

Priya also noticed something very peculiar. Kael had stopped talking about his personal survival in a weird way.

He usually talked about something that involved conquest or conquering the world or heaven.

His logic was that anything that was a threat to his life was a threat to The Conquering.

So now, Keel was more focused on the Conquering than his own life but he did it in a way that his survival was not neglected at all.

The changes were subtle, Priya was the first to notice them, but she was definitely not the only one.

Along with Ozia’s absence.

Most of Kael’s consorts only noticed the change during sexual intercourse. Not that they were complaining, the new changes were strangely satisfying.

They loved being dominated by Kael thoroughly, they loved it when Kael seductively showed them who was boss.

By the end of the second day after Kael’s return, many who knew Kael well had become intrigued.

Kael now made every movement of his with purpose and direction. He wasn’t confused about where he was going or the obstacles in his path, he had an objective and was coldly making an effort to reach it.

For a period of time, the Black Massive Pyramid was peaceful.

Many lion kings had already gotten used to living on their arkships as they orbited the massive black pyramid. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

There was no news about the Anti-Primordial coalition for a period of time and it looked like they had gone into hiding simply because of Ma’abu’s presence.

Those who knew the details were aware that things weren’t so simple. Memphis alone could not deter Ma’abu and his accomplices.

However, what caught the attention of many lion clans was the fact that Ma’abu actually allowed tigers to invade heaven.

Or at least, that was what the Primordial Supporters were claiming.

After all, they were the ones who fought the tigers.

For now, the claim that Ma’abu was crazy enough to anger the whole civilization by bringing in tigers into Leonine was under speculation among neutral lion kings.

However, the existence of tigers in Leonine Heaven warranted the activation of many neutral lion kings.

Supporters of the Primordial or not, racism was what brought lions together.

And brought them together it did, for a period of time.

A heaven-wide hunt for the tigers ensued. But the tigers themselves seem to have been prepared.

The voids of heaven shook as the tigers prepared to deliver retribution to the lions. Multiple storms were brewing at once and things were starting to get out of control.

As it was, it looked like the tigers were deciding to come out of hiding and wanted to deal with the lions for what Noel did to them.

There was no other explanation for their mysteriously entering heaven.

Besides that, before the heaven-wide hunt could see any progress, three key developments took place and one of them threatened to shake the stability of all the lions held dear to themselves.

First, Gabby from the Cosmic Research Coalition had come back from their headquarters with news, good and bad.

The good news was that most of the lions who joined the Cosmic Research Coalition were intelligent and could recognise the difference between benefits and bondage.

Even those who wanted neutrality found reason in the benefits of the lion system as well as the different potential for technology Kael had shown them.

To them, Kael sounded like someone who knew what he wanted and wasn’t shy about stating it.

Because of all these factors, Kael had started to gain more followers, although not all had joined the lion system yet.

Gabby, through the chat feature, was given instructions from Kael, to make it clear that no one would receive blueprints and experiment logs from him if they did not join the lion system.

That was all Kael had to say and he left Gabby to handle it. Gabby was now what Exalon was Kael for the Battleborn Coalition, another extension of his power.

As for whether some would join or not, Kael couldn’t care about it at the time. The number of lions who had joined the lion system had increased tremendously in the past few days anyway.

The number of lions who now had their identity marks in the lion system was already more than one billion and was steadily approaching the two billion mark.

That was an incredible amount of power that Kael had but it was not much compared to the entire lion race population which should be more or less than a trillion.

Not to mention that the actual power of the lion race lay in the paws of the lion kings which were not that much technically.

So, while the Primordial Supporters were steadily raking in more members in the millions, an old enemy of the lions decided to be bold.

The tigers.

No one knew what had gotten into them. Perhaps they had forgotten the difference between the sky and mud, or maybe something was wrong with their heads.

But the tigers actually dared to invade heaven again.

This time, it was another wave, separate from the one that the Primordial Supporters had fought against.

Their mode of attack was different, they seemed to have gotten their hands on some of the lost heavenly beacons and were able to torture some captive lions into opening a heavenly gate.

Instead of focusing on violence, they seemed to be in search of their other comrades who were still in heaven.

Soon, one or two tiger arkships could be seen flying at warp speed at different locations of Leonine Heaven.

The lions who saw them were usually so shocked by the boldness of these tigers that they forgot to attack them.

Back at the Massive Black Pyramid, the news that tigers were blatantly invading heaven once again irritated the Primordial Supporters to great lengths.

But the last of the latest developments overtook whatever fury they could muster to go after the tigers.

News came from the main universe, Jin the Purger, the sixth Primordial Lion’s long-lost final resting place had been found.
