Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 510: Designated Chamber Worlds
Vixy shook her head, "Being a medium for connection is not stressful, it’s just that it’s very boring and only those like the Spiders would be glad to engage in such activities...
Speaking of spiders, what about Natalia and that ’thing’ she’s trying to do?"
Bibi shrugged, "She has refused to tell me the details even though I’ve asked her multiple times.
Her spiders seem to be aware of what she’s doing though and they are even actively trying to help her out.
The only thing I know is that she is trying to create a connection of some sort, whatever that means.
As long as it’s not going to destabilise what His Majesty has built, it’s fine."
"Hmm," Ralph bowed his head in thought, "I wonder if the spiders will be able to help us connect with the other castes.
If there were a way for that to be possible, it would be good. Our wolves would have more access to hunting missions or hunting-related missions.
We would have clients from every corner of the kingdom, not just wolves. For now, only our fellow wolves or the king himself can send out missions."
Vixy nodded, "Our missions are a lot easier and not necessarily complex. As long as they help generate Fire Essence for Ivana.
But even then, I can predict that we would have access to many different types of missions and creative ways to go about our lives if we had that connection.
But even if we wanted that, we would have to have something like a medium."
Marcus shook his head, "Not just a medium, a Primordial too. Perhaps that is what Natalia is working on, finding the Spider Primordial."
Vixy chuckled, "I doubt that, Natalia is not so sentimental..."
Suddenly, Marcus’s eyes looked lost for a moment.
He swiped his hand at the holographic screen, but nothing happened. Then he remembered something.
He turned around just in time to see that Leechaun, the commanding Lion Lord was looking at him. Their gazes jammed and it was too late for Leechaun to retract his gaze.
"Can you give me access to Chamber World 23 and Chamber World 151?" Marcus asked telepathically, acting as if he had not just caught Leechaun staring at them.
"Okay," Leechaun responded coolly. With a thought, he gave Marcus more access to the respective chamber worlds.
Marcus then turned around to the holographic screen. Ignoring the chatter of those around him, he swiped his fingers at the holographic screen.
This time, the screen moved. Marcus navigated the surveillance channels to look at the ones he had access to.
Vixy, Bibi, and Ralph, stopped talking as they noticed what Marcus was doing.
He paid attention and saw that he was looking at the surveillance channels for Chamber World 23.
"You want to check on the tigers?" Vixy asked.
Chamber world 23 was where all the tigers were being held. Back when Kael had fought those tigers guarding the arkship, Chloe had saved him just in time.
Using the defense mechanism, she killed Belgrod and incapacitated Constantyne and Agatha. After which, the arkship captured many tigers.
All the tigers Kael ever encountered on Eridoria were mostly held captive in Chamber World 23 with a few who showed too much resistance being killed.
Since then, through the journey from the Void Spill galaxy to the Empyrean Dust galaxy, and the stop at Planet Kareem, the tigers have been in captivity.
Marcus continued checking the surveillance channel, "Yes. His Majesty just sent me a message now, he has found good use for the tigers."
"Oh," Bibi raised an eyebrow and Vixy looked at Marcus in confusion.
They wondered why Kael sent the message to Marcus and not anyone else. Well, Vixy expected it, she knew that Kael’s trust in her had waned and could never be recovered.
But Bibi felt a bit hurt.
It made them wonder how many other times Marcus was secretly communicating with Kael without anyone’s knowledge.
Did the Lion Lords even know about this? Or were they the only ones kept in the dark?
Ralph didn’t seem perturbed by this though. It was hard to say what he was thinking as his focus was entirely on the holographic screen in front of him.
Marcus ignored their expressions and continued checking the surveillance channels.
The holographic screen continued changing until it showed a scene that Marcus wanted to see.
There, on the screen, it could be seen that the tigers had already settled down long ago.
The Observer Rune that was projecting this image demarcated the many small and large territories of different tigers all across the chamber world.
The Observer Rune observed from above, giving Marcus and the rest a god’s eye view.
Marcus zoomed in on the live footage, catching a glimpse of a few tigers running through the forest or small hills.
Finally, he closed in on the subjects that he wanted to see.
There, before everyone’s eyes, Constantyne lay at the peak of a rocky hill, lying flat on his belly with his paws and limbs sprawled out.
Agatha was not here, she was in the next territory.
Constantyne looked satisfied and lazy, although that sharpness of a dangerous killer had never left his eyes.
Suddenly, Constantyne raised his head up with a confused expression on his furry striped face. A deep ember glow emanated from his eyes as he stood up.
Constantyne looked up, his eyes clashing with the distant Observer Rune.
Back in the chamber of command.
"Hmm," Marcus frowned at the holographic screen.
"Can he see us?" Ralph asked.
Vixy shook her head, "No, but his instincts are telling him that he is being watched. He just assumes that it is coming from this particular rune."
"What use did his Majesty say they had?" Bibi asked.
Constantyne continued looking at the Observer Rune with his enhanced heated vision.
Marcus ignored the muscular fiery tiger and began looking for the others.
"He didn’t specify, only that we should get them ready for a reunion and install Nbaye’s Insurance Runes on all of them," Marcus said as his fingers continuously swiped at the screen.
Marcus continued checking out as many tigers as he could check. He also observed Agatha for a while.
Unsurprisingly, Agatha had two cubs with her, both of whom bore a striking resemblance to Constantyne. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
It was only a matter of time.
After that, Marcus switched surveillance channels to Chamber World 151.
This was the chamber world hosting the kingdom’s newest vassals.
Through the holographic screen, they were able to see the images of a few monkeys roaming about, looking around curiously at their environment.
These creatures fascinated all of them, the way they could use their hands without having to enter a humanoid mode.
The monkeys continuously looked around, as if studying their environment. They seemed to be in the process of testing everything they could get their hands on.
They would swing from trees right after testing the strength of the branches, and they would throw rocks right after testing their weight against their palms.
They tried communicating with each other through screams and strange calls. To the likes of Marcus and Bibi who could just use telepathy to bridge any language barrier, these barbaric methods of communicating used by the monkeys were... off-putting.
For the first time, Marcus truly felt like his vulture race was superior to something. Even though it was a false feeling, he relished the moment.
After all, he had heard that these creatures were the ones responsible for the existence of humans in the first place.
It was hard to imagine that such a race that could perform such miracles would be reduced to this state.
Technically, some of these monkeys were literally survivors from their glorious eras. Unfortunately, many of these monkeys were having trouble even remembering their identities, talk less of their origins.
Most of them had a power level equivalent to tier 2 and would have probably passed off as the bottom rung of their society back in their golden era.
Now, they were one of the last few remnants of the great monkey civilization that once challenged the universe.
Watching the monkeys feel their way around their designated chamber world, Marcus and Ralph could not help but hope that a Primordial would be born from their bunch.
"His Majesty asked me to check on the monkeys for two main reasons.
To make sure that they are breeding well and can possibly produce their Primordial Monkey in the future. And he wants me to keep an eye on any technological development they might start dipping their hands into." Marcus said.
"Monitoring them is not that easy though," Ralph said with a smile "Their innate curiosity over everything also makes them professional trouble makers."
"I know," Marcus nodded.
At this time, Ivana, who had been sleeping peacefully in Vixy’s arms opened her eyes and yawned. As soon as she woke up, the temperature of their surroundings instantly shot up.
Vixy ignored the heat, patting Ivana’s orange hair with what could only be described as a mix of hatred and worry.
"What’s their affiliated law anyways?" Bibi asked.
"Probably Wisdom or intelligence, or something along that bracket," Marcus said solemnly.
