Adrienne claimed she was over it and even claimed she was with someone else now. There was no denying that she was wearing an engagement ring, despite it looking simple.

Somehow, he felt that there was something about this young girl that attracted him profoundly. He suddenly wanted to possess this girl and keep her all to himself. His gaze kept following Adrienne and he could feel that Adrienne wasn’t willing to spare him a glance. Though her expressions looked gentle, he could distinctly feel her indifference. This kind of feeling made Alistair Han inexplicably unhappy.

The crowd was silent for a moment until a drunk young man dared to ask Adrienne’s hand for marriage. Adrienne only smiled at him and shook her head.

"This one is still young, Young Master. I still want to spend more time with my mother. I’ve just recently turned eighteen and still want to do many things before settling down."

"You can leave it to me, Miss Addie." Hunter replied, intending to spend a restless night to keep her safe.
