Chapter 253: Break Them Apart (1)

At the Han mansion, Alistair abruptly swept everything on the table to the floor. His subordinates could only flinch as the exquisite porcelaim made a crisp and resounding sound as it shattered on the floor. It hadn’t been too long since Lennox Qin returned, but he already messed up with Alistair’s plans.

Alistair then sat back on the chair as he helplessly took a deep breath and slowly uttered, "Are you certain that they’re now in a relationship?"

Did Lennox Qin go after Adrienne because he found out Alistair wanted her to himself? Did he do this to get even with him?

"Yes, Master." His assistant replied nervously. It was a rare sight to see Alistair enraged like this.

Lennox Qin and Adrienne Jiang’s relationship was official now, but everyone knew Alistair was interested in Adrienne as well and even went as far as proposing a marriage to her in a public setting.

Previously, with the rumors about Lennox Qin and Adrienne Jiang being spotted together, he would still have time to lure Adrienne to his side, so long as Lennox Qin was not officially involved. However, the sight of them together now shattered any hope he had left. Alistair’s mind raced with thoughts of how to regain control and salvage his plans, but deep down, he knew that his power over Adrienne was slipping away.

However, now that the news officially confirmed Adrienne’s relationship with Lennox Qin, Alistair understood at once. Lennox Qin didn’t view him as a rival and wouldn’t waste time getting Adrienne from him.

"Lennox Qin, I truly underestimated him this time." Alistair narrowed his eyes; the smile on his lips was cold and sinister. He spat these words through clenched teeth as if he hated how he couldn’t wring Lennox Qin’s neck at that instant.

For such an arrogant and proud man as Alistair Han, what he hated the most was being looked down on and played like a fool in the hands of another, so how could he not hold such a grudge against Lennox Qin?

It hadn’t been the first time he and Lennox Qin clashed with each other. They had been rivals for years, constantly vying for the same positions and opportunities. For so many times, Huayi was able to beat Han Corporation in business deals, leaving Alistair Han frustrated every time. At that time, Gavin Si was the face of Huayi, but Alistair knew better that the brain of Huayi was none other than Lennox Qin.

Lennox’s strategic thinking and sharp business acumen had propelled Huayi to new heights, while Alistair struggled to match his rival’s success. The constant defeats had fueled Alistair’s resentment towards Lennox, making their rivalry more personal than ever before.

However, seeing Lennox set his eyes on Adrienne Jiang was a blatant mockery on Alistair’s face. That day, everyone knew he wanted Adrienne Jiang to be his wife, yet Lennox Qin appeared out of nowhere and challenged his position as Adrienne’s potential husband.

Alistair clenched his fists as he considered his options. He knew that he needed to act fast if he wanted to regain control over the situation. He couldn’t let Lennox Qin win this time. Not when it came to Adrienne.

Adrienne might be unwilling at first, but she would eventually succumb to him. He would not allow another man to have her. If he couldn’t have her, he might as well destroy her too.

Alistair couldn’t help but remember the cold look Adrienne had given him that night. He didn’t know why, but when meeting Adrienne’s cold gaze, he always felt uncomfortable, like some unexplained emotion stirred in his heart.

As Alistair sat in his chair, plotting his next move, his assistant nervously cleared his throat. "Master, what do you plan to do?"

Alistair looked up and smirked, his eyes glinting with malice. "Simple. We’ll crush him."

His assistant nodded, knowing all too well what Alistair meant. There was no doubt that Alistair Han would stop at nothing to get what he wanted, even if it meant destroying anyone who stood in his way. Alistair’s ruthlessness was well known among those who worked for him, and his assistant had witnessed firsthand the lengths he would go to achieve his goals. The thought of being on Alistair’s bad side sent a shiver down the assistant’s spine, as he knew that crossing him would have dire consequences.

And so, Alistair began to formulate a plan. He knew that he couldn’t just openly challenge Lennox Qin, as it would only make him look weak. Instead, he decided to use his vast network of connections to dig up any dirt he could find on Lennox, hoping to find something that would tarnish his reputation and ruin his credibility.

"Prepare a meeting with the board of directors immediately," he ordered his assistant. "We need to come up with a plan to counteract Huayi’s recent success."

His assistant nodded quickly and scurried out of the room, leaving Alistair alone with his thoughts. He paced back and forth, his mind racing as he considered his options. Alistair knew that he couldn’t let Huayi’s success go unanswered. He needed to devise a strategic move that would not only level the playing field but also regain the upper hand against Lennox Qin and Huayi.

As he sat back down on his chair, Alistair couldn’t help but feel a sense of annoyance. He knew that he was capable of getting what he wanted, no matter what the cost. He was determined to win Adrienne back; he would stop at nothing to achieve his goal.

Alistair was not one to give up easily, especially when it came to something he wanted. He was a man who always got what he wanted, no matter the cost. And Adrienne Jiang was no exception.

He would go to great lengths to ensure that she would end up in his hands, where she belonged. She was his possession, his trophy, and he would not allow anyone else to take that away from him. Lennox Qin may have taken Adrienne from him, but he would make sure that he paid the ultimate price for his arrogance.
