Chapter 173: My Sister Is Not a Thief (3)

Everyone was stunned to see how Adrienne easily crushed the stone. If it was indeed a diamond, like Classmate Liu claimed, it shouldn’t have been destroyed so easily. The three young women turned pale, realizing their lies had been exposed. They initially wanted to bully Samantha and force her to confess, but they didn’t expect Samantha to resist and chose to bring up the issue with their teacher.

All of them watched in horror as Adrienne smiled wickedly at them. They had a bad feeling about this second meeting with this crazy woman, but they thought Adrienne wouldn’t dare beat them for the second time with the teacher around.

"How about it? Did you see it clearly? You falsely accused my sister of being a thief and dared to pass this cheap necklace off as expensive. You haven’t learned your lesson, have you?" Adrienne chuckled.

The three girls looked at each other in confusion, unsure what to do or say next. They knew they had been caught in their lie and were now facing the consequences of their actions. Their teacher looked on sternly, clearly disappointed in their behavior.

Adrienne stepped forward. "You should be ashamed of yourselves," she spat. "You tried to frame an innocent person and steal from her at the same time. What kind of people are you?"

The three girls shuffled uncomfortably, unable to meet Adrienne’s gaze. They had never faced such a fierce opponent before and didn’t know how to handle the situation. They were used to calling the shots and bullying others, and they hated being humiliated like this.

"Teacher Ye, do you also think this necklace is worth a thousand dollars?"

Teacher Ye sighed and shook her head. She had worn these kinds of jewelry before and knew that anyone shouldn’t be able to crush a real diamond easily.

"It can’t be a real diamond, but that’s not the issue. You accused Samantha and repeatedly picked a fight with her despite her efforts to avoid you. I have to call your parents now! I won’t tolerate such misbehavior any longer!"

Adrienne was pleased with the teacher’s words; however, she also could not allow these young women to bully her young sister-in-law.

"Teacher Ye, these students are repeat offenders. They have bullied Sam in the past, and her brother is upset about this matter. I hope Teacher Ye can give us a satisfying answer today; otherwise, we will take matters into our own hands and deal with them instead."

Adrienne’s voice was firm and determined as she stood up for her sister-in-law. She wanted to ensure that the bullies faced the consequences of their actions and that Samantha could feel safe at school. She was prepared to take action if necessary.

The teacher’s expression turned serious, realizing the gravity of the situation and the potential consequences if it remained unresolved.

Adrienne crossed her arms, her eyes fixed on the teacher, waiting for a response. The students and Samantha fell silent and anxiously awaited Teacher Ye’s reply. After a moment of contemplation, the teacher cleared her throat and spoke.

"I understand your concerns, Miss Jiang," Teacher Ye began. "Bullying is a serious matter, and our educators are responsible for ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all students. I apologize for any previous inaction on our part."

Adrienne felt a glimmer of hope as she listened to the teacher’s words. Teacher Ye was finally taking the issue seriously.

"Rest assured," Teacher Ye continued, "I will personally investigate these allegations and take appropriate disciplinary measures. No student should feel intimidated or threatened in this school. We will do everything in our power to address this issue."

Adrienne nodded, relieved that her concerns were being acknowledged. She hoped for a resolution to protect her sister-in-law from further harm. It was a relief to see that the school was now committed to taking action.

"Thank you, Teacher Ye," Adrienne said, her voice filled with gratitude. "We appreciate your attention to this matter. It means a lot to us."

Teacher Ye nodded in response, her expression showing a mix of concern and determination. "I assure you, Adrienne, we will not tolerate any form of bullying in this school. I will personally speak to the students involved and their parents. We will work together to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for everyone."

As she looked at Samantha, Adrienne couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride. She had stood up against bullies and fought for what was right. It was a reminder that sometimes, taking matters into your own hands was necessary to create change. And in this case, it seemed to be working.

The three young women looked at each other in panic. All the teachers knew Samantha as a mild-mannered student, but her words today proved that she’d changed for the better.

Teacher Ye glanced at them sternly and said, "You’ll get a lecture when you return. I will discuss this matter with your parents, and we will meet again to decide the consequences of your actions. Let’s go!"

The three girls walked off in defeat, their heads bowed. They didn’t dare meet Samantha’s eyes, afraid she would take action. After all, they had repeatedly bullied her, and she had the right to be angry.

Once they were gone, Samantha stood shyly before Adrienne outside the hallway.

"Addie, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to disappoint you and brother." She said this as she lowered her head in shame.

Adrienne patted her shoulder and sighed.

"Why are you apologizing? It’s not you who caused the trouble, Sam. You did the right thing by calling me. You know your brother would have come here if he could. He’s been worried sick about you. I’m glad you stood your ground and refused to be bullied by them anymore."

Samantha looked up at Adrienne, her eyes filling with tears. "But they’re not going to stop, Addie. They’ll come back and hurt me again."

Adrienne’s face hardened as she looked at Samantha. "Listen to me, Sam. You don’t have to face them alone. You have me and your brother on your side. We’ll make sure they never lay a finger on you again."

"How?" Samantha asked, her voice trembling with fear.

Adrienne leaned in closer, her breath hot against Samantha’s ear. "We’ll have to fight fire with fire, Sam. And I’m not talking about fists and kicks. We’ll have to use our brains to outsmart them. Leave this to me and your brother. We’ll figure it out."

As they left the school grounds to return to Jinxiu Garden, Adrienne couldn’t help but feel a fierce protectiveness over Samantha. She knew that she would do anything to keep the girl safe, even if it meant breaking a few rules along the way.
