Reborn ghost seeing lady is pampered by her ex husband-Chapter 634: Stonehaven city.
"She broke the table with one fist." Cillian mumbled in a soft surprised voice.
Like everyone else, they were sitting in their seats, looking down at the broken table parts and some broken porcelain. Some things had been lucky enough to stay intact.
"You should see her when we are hunting." Rekha said.
"She is a student at the academy, that is wonderful." Cillian's glorious laugh boomed in the room.
"Not exactly." Rekha said, standing up as she had to report for work. "She works with ghosts. Hunting supernatural creatures is a part tome gig."
Cillian turned his head to his wife, frowning deeply. "I am confused."
"I will explain." She said to him.
They all left the dining area one by one. Servants quickly came in to clean up and the butler ordered for a new table. He asked for the sturdiest table that the high-end furniture company had.

When David said that he would only get her the best of everything for her cafe, he had really meant it. He had gone overboard in trying to impress her, the space had been subdivided to accommodate a jewelry boutique, a tonic herbal shop and two modern cafes, one for humans and one for ghosts.
He had included a kid's corner with toys where parents could place their children and get a moment to rest and enjoy their food in peace. He had even included a separate corner for pets and put up noise proof glass to reduce the sound of the animals.
The location of her office had been changed; she now had access to the counter via a window and the kitchen as well. On entering, it, Phoebe noticed that it was much bigger than the previous office which was a bonus.
"This is beyond my expectations." Grinning, she touched the walls, peered through the windows and touched the new furniture.
"Mine too. Your husband did a splendid job, and he spared no expense. We can have two hundred customers in the entire cafe at the same time. It is a mini supermarket in here." Rosset said, walking into the large office with a smile on her face. "We need to hire more help before we officially open on the weekend because our small family sized operation is now factory sized.
With a dismissive wave of the hand, Phoebe dialed Collin's number and asked him to help her with that. She needed twenty new employees for starters. If there was a need for him, she would call him again.
"Done." She told Rosset. "My big brother is going to send resumes of the best employees for all sections." She announced.
"Great, now that you are back and we are not open to clients just yet, maybe you can take on a case. Mr. Mahone Rice has been blowing up the phone for two weeks. He wants a personal consultation and requests that you go and see him. His office is not from here it is at the Marlott Headquarters." Rosset informed Phoebe.
Phoebe creased her brow, she knew who Mahone was. The CEO of Marlott Constructions, the third biggest international construction company in all of Fog country. They were most famous for the Spear bridge, a fusion of ancient engineering and gothic grandeur which was like a time capsule or a blast into the past. Aside from the architecture, another thing that made the bridge special was that it was the longest bridge on the continent, stretching across the sea.
Rumors said the bridge was guarded by the devil itself because ninety-nine people had died during its construction and some areas of the bridge passed through fog. On the internet people even claimed that they saw otherworldly figures walking on the bridge.
Whether it was false or true had never been proven. It was because of this bridge that Marlott constructions had
"What could be the problem? Is it business or personal? I heard from nana that he and his wife separated recently, perhaps that is what this is all about." Phoebe's mouth quirked sideways as she made considerations.
Rosset gave a nonchalant lift of her shoulders. "He did not say but he did say that you could name your desired consultation fee and requested that you go to his offices as soon as you can....."
"Where are we going?" Maureen asked, interrupting as she strolled in, with Rekha right behind her.
"To Marlott Constructions." Phoebe answered as she dialed Mahone Rice's number to let him know that she was on her way.
With a graceful swirl of her fingers, she carved a shimmering arc through the air. A portal tore open, pulling them into the heart of Stonehaven city.
"Where did you learn to do that already?" Rekha asked, her voice had a tinge of jealousy. She had practiced so hard but was yet to learn the trick of teleportation.
Phoebe only rubbed salt in her wounds. "Star, these are some of the perks of being the mother of the grand guardian." She lifted her chin as if to brag.
They came out in an alley, sterling a pair of cats that were mating.
"It's morning, wait for the sun to set you horny felines." Maureen shouted to them as they run off.
"Are you jealous Maureen?" Rekha laughed.
Phoebe shook her head.
They walked out of the alley and came out on the street, joining others that were walking. Maureen hailed for a nearby taxi, and they set off.
Stonehaven was a wonderful city that got its name from its stone architecture. It was the wonderful blend of ancient charm and modern innovation. The buildings were mostly crafted from stone that was polished to perfection and integrated with glass facades.
By day, the city glowed under light reflecting off stone surfaces and by night, lanterns glowed everywhere, creating a mystical ambience. It was a small city by the sea and a part of the Spear bridge passed through it.
"Beautiful is it not." Maureen's gaze locked on the window of the taxi, mesmerized by the soaring structures that defied the clouds.
Rekha let out a wistful sigh. "Now this is proper city planning and I love the fact that it is not congested." Her fingertips left prints on the window of the taxi as she took pictures of each architectural marvel.
"How did they build such strong stone glass towers? They look like giant crystal trees." Phoebe giggled, her breath smudging the windowpane as she ogled the glittering tiny cafe whose pastry smell dashed through the streets. "Mmm, fresh bread. Yummy." Her stomach growled even though she had already eaten.
The taxi driver laughed knowingly at them. "You must be tourists here, many people come to Stonehaven just to see these buildings with their eyes. They were constructed by Marlott constructions, in fact this entire city was created by their forefathers. They have been constructing stone houses for thousands of years, most of us came as tourists like you but decided to stay here." He gave them details as he hit the brakes roughly at the traffic light.
Maureen winced lightly. "The Rice family is a very silent but wealthy one. They have backed up a lot of politicians to power such that they pass laws in their favor. How else do they own fifty percent of the land in this city." She commented, uncertainty clung to her words.
"Allegedly. There is no proof of that aunt." Rekha felt the need to add that because the driver seemed offended, after all he was one of the people who saw the Rice family as saints among mortals for all they had done for Stonehaven city.
