Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 62: Vampire?
"Are you sure it was a vampire that you saw?" Cyrus asked Sparrow, the first thing the subordinate made his report.
Sparrow nodded.
"I don’t have proof to back up my words for now, sir, but I know what I saw. The aura around him was mysterious, even dark. For a moment, even I was shocked when I saw him drinking blood. But I think he felt my presence and left before I reached there," Sparrow explained.
Cyrus nodded in understanding.
"Okay. I’ll see what to do from now on," Cyrus said, and Sparrow was dismissed.
The King walked to the balcony of his office and looked at the floor on which his room was.
His gaze lingered on the balcony as the Princess stood there, her hair moving along with the wind.
She retaliated against her father today. Earlier, it was a retaliation against Alpha Killian.
Was this girl turning loyal to him? If yes, to what extent was she ready to go for now? How ready was she to face the world with him?
The Lunar ball was approaching, and he would need to take her to the Ballroom as a married man.
It would be a place full of all kinds of scheming people, and she took so long to stand up for herself. Would she be able to survive that?
Cyrus sighed and leaned on the wall, sipping the herbal drink to keep his wolf calm and controlled.
Since his wolf forbade him from coming out, it was important for him to drink such herbal drinks to keep his animalistic desire under control. It was all up to him.
"Don’t you think she deserves a reward after tonight?" Sylas asked.
Cyrus raised his brows.
"A reward for what exactly?" He asked.
Sylas kept looking at the girl, his gaze deepening at her beauty.
"By any chance do you imagine yourself fucking her hard against the wall?" Sylas’s sudden question threw Cyrus off guard, and the man coughed loudly, choking on his herbal drink. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
His pupils dilated a little as his eyes brimmed with moistness.
"Are you for real?" Cyrus asked once he snapped out of the shock.
Sylas shrugged, as if he wasn’t the one who asked the most unhinged question out of nowhere.
"I asked because I can picture myself doing so. Just imagine her naked self, pressed hard against the wall and our manhood ramming her mercilessly while she screams our name in ecstasy," Sylas said.
Cyrus’s ears reddened at the vulgar image his wolf forced into his head.
Just one kiss and he was going wild. He wondered how his wolf would have reacted if he could take over for real.
"Stop spouting nonsense. It’s not going to happen," Cyrus said.
Sylas smirked. He didn’t correct Cyrus immediately.
Rather than doing that, he leaned backward in the mind space, calming himself and looking at his human counterpart with a mocking smile.
"Is that so?" He asked.
After that, the wolf went completely silent, but the question he left Cyrus with made the man gulp.
He always wanted his wolf to be talkative like all the other wolves, but now he didn’t feel so eager.
Seeing the girl walking inside the room, the man sighed.
"Sir," Fabian’s sudden presence made Cyrus jump in his place before he turned and glared at the subordinate.
Fabian - "..." What happened? Why was the man looking at him as if he had interrupted some private movement?
"You called me," Fabian said before the man could blame him for anything, and Cyrus hummed.
"Form a team. Ask Boston to do it. A vampire is lurking among the werewolves. I need to know how he is going undetectable by the authorities, and no one can smell him. Apart from that, I want that Vampire itself," Cyrus said.
His words surprised Fabian.
A vampire was lurking among werewolves, but why?
They had already signed a treaty stating that the two species wouldn’t interfere with each other’s work, and even the areas were divided.
Apart from the common university in the north, every vampire or werewolf needed a permit to cross the boundary.
"Do you think they are planning an attack, sir?" Fabian asked.
Cyrus shook his head.
When Sparrow told him about the vampire, the first thing that appeared in his mind was this only.
But it didn’t seem correct.
The vampire was seen near the Sin Banned Pack, which was attacked overnight by a mysterious person who only burned the pack house, which was a clear warning to the alpha.
The Sin-banned pack would be the last beneficial pact if the vampire sought Intel to attack.
"He was there to watch someone. I don’t know who," Cyrus said.
His instincts told him that the vampire was there for healers.
And the possibility that he lit the pack house to gain attention and bring healers to the pack was more.
It was easier to connect the dots and conclude the events, but the main question persisted like a large elephant in the room.
Why?
Why is Sin Banned Pack? Why healers? And exactly who?
"I’ll get onto it immediately, sir," Fabian said.
Cyrus hummed.
"In that case, should I leave?" The subordinate asked to confirm.
Cyrus looked at the document on the paper, his fingers stopping at one page.
"Since Professor Kinsley is teaching my wife and has taken an interest in her, I want a special laboratory to be made near the University. If they are really such big healers, I want to know if they can heal me..." Cyrus trailed off.
Fabian understood what his King was trying to say and nodded.
"That would be arranged, sir," He said before leaving.
Once he had reviewed the documents that needed his urgent attention, Cyrus walked to his room and opened the door to the princess standing beside the dressing table.
He took in her appearance.
She was wearing a satin nightdress that, though it didn’t hug her body, the way it lifted her curves perfectly, giving the viewer a clear illusion of her plumps, made him gulp.
Sylas’s words echoed in his head, and he looked at her face, their gaze meeting through the reflection.
Amelia didn’t say anything.
She just averted her gaze shyly, brushing her hair.
The man went straight to the bathroom to wash up, and Amelia released the breath she didn’t know she was holding, either.
What was that all about? Why did it feel like his gaze was far more intense tonight? Was it because he wondered if she would attack him tonight like the previous night?
The thought made her shy, and she got into bed to sleep so he or she won’t have to feel awkward.
By the time Cyrus returned, Amelia was half asleep, barely conscious.
He looked at her sleeping form and ruffled his hair.
Without saying anything, he got into bed and turned off the lights.
Once settled, he held her hand and pulled her close.
Amelia, who was barely conscious, felt herself being pulled and groaned.
Her groan reminded Cyrus of a cat he used to feed as a kid, and he couldn’t help but smile.
He placed his face in the crook of her neck, wrapping her hands and legs around his body so he could still blame her if she woke up and said she was the one doing it.
He was shameless about it.
Feeling the soft pillows under his head, Cyrus took a deep, shaky breath when her feminine smell attacked him.
His manhood started reacting, remembering their heated kiss and Sylas’s words.
"This is going to be tougher than I imagined," Cyrus groaned inwardly as he suppressed the urge to bite Amelia’s breasts.
