Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 54: Ryan’s vague declaration
The weather seemed nice.
Amelia sat close to the former luna of the Ashborn pack in a confined space that she requested Ryan to arrange.
She didn’t want people to see her ancient needle method. While Aaron and Derrick were wary, they didn’t disagree completely and just warned her to be careful.
Amelia wasn’t a fool and knew what their warning meant. One mistake and she can kiss her life goodbye.
However, she was least fazed by it. She was confident in her methods, and even Professor Kinsley praised her after their first class.
Amelia pinched the lady’s legs first. There was really no sensation. Her brows furrowed before she picked the clean acupuncture needles and inserted them into the lady’s body at particular points with utmost precision.
After inserting the last needle in her forehead, Amelia sighed. It was strenuous work that required considerable strength.
She waited a few seconds and helped the lady drink the decoction she prepared.
Rather than infusing it in the drip, she forced the lady to drink it through her mouth.
Honestly, Amelia was least hopeful on the first day. But she wanted to give it a try.
However, to her surprise, the lady could drink the broth herself. Her eyes moved towards the girl, and the tears in them clearly indicated how happy she was that she could move.
"Don’t worry, Mrs. Camila. One day, you will lift this bowl and drink it yourself. I promised you that," Amelia whispered to the lady who shed a few more tears.
Amelia helped the lady back into a lying position before she removed the needles in synchrony, moving her limbs and giving her a little massage so her nerves would start working again.
Once done with her treatment, Amelia stood and walked out of the room.
Her gaze met with the three Alphas standing outside the door, waiting for her.
"You don’t trust me, do you?" Amelia asked with a chuckle.
"She drank the broth herself," Amelia said, looking at the still figure on the bed.
"Her paralysis is neurological. It will take time before I show you the results," Amelia finished speaking.
Ryan walked before her and held her hand.
He raised her hand and kissed the back of it.
"Thank you," He said.
Amelia smiled at his gratitude but removed her hands gently.
"Please, Alpha Ryan. I am married," she said.
Ryan nodded in understanding.
"It’s okay. Even if it’s a marriage of convenience, maybe I can have a shot if I win your heart," Ryan said, deliberately adding to her marriage even when he knew she was lying.
Amelia raised her brows.
"I don’t think so. I love my husband," She said as she walked towards the exit.
While Aaron and Derrick, shocked by their calm and quiet brother’s confession, snapped out of their thoughts and followed the duo.
"Can someone drop me off at the marketplace?" Amelia asked.
Aaron stepped ahead to volunteer.
"Why don’t you have something before you go? You appeared twice in our pack but didn’t even drink a glass of water. I know you hate me, but I assure you we are hospitable and won’t poison you," Aaron said.
Amelia looked at the three brothers awkwardly.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want to drink or eat something. She just didn’t want to waste her time here. She was doing this to help them and gain some loyal friends in the long run for her fight against Hannah and Alpha Killian.
However, apart from that, she wanted to focus on spending more time in the royal palace to catch King Cyrus occasionally and make him fall in love with her.
That was her ultimate goal.
"I will drink some juice," Amelia said, to avoid offending them and making them think she was deliberately avoiding eating at their place.
Aaron smiled and looked at the maid, who nodded and brought a glass of juice and lots of snacks for Amelia, something they see her regularly eats at the cafeteria along with her lunch that she doesn’t share with anyone else.
Amelia looked at the snacks and smiled.
However, she just drank the juice, more like downed the juice, before she stood again.
"Let’s go," She said.
Aaron, Derrick, Ryan - "..." Well, she made it crystal clear that she didn’t want to spend a second more than her work in their pack.
Aaron sighed and took her to the marketplace nonetheless.
The ride was quiet, not because Aaron didn’t want to say anything, but because he noticed Amelia had closed her eyes, and from her soft breathing, it was clear that she had fallen asleep.
Aaron smiled helplessly at the girl.
She was working hard for someone who didn’t want anything for them.
As the car stopped at the red signal, he looked at her face, observing her affectionately before removing the strand of hair from it and tucking it behind her ears.
"Has anyone told you that you are beautiful?" Aaron murmured under his breath before looking in front of her when her brows scrunched.
He didn’t want to be caught in action and have her think he was some kind of creep watching her sleep.
Even if it was soothing...
Aaron looked at her one last time before sharing the car again.
He stopped the car at the marketplace, unsure how to wake her.
He kept looking at her for some time before gently shaking her shoulders.
"Amelia, we are here," He said.
But the girl didn’t wake up. She was asleep.
Left with no choice, he sighed and was about to call Ryan to ask what he should do when someone tapped on his window.
He rolled the window down.
"Why is Miss Amelia not coming out? I have come to take her," The man said.
Aaron furrowed his brows. The man before him looked quite powerful.
Why was a man like him here to take Amelia?
"And what’s your relationship with Amelia?" Aaron went into defensive mode.
The man didn’t answer him. Instead, he looked at the girl, who was fast asleep in the passenger seat, and sighed.
"I am her..." Trevor stopped to think for some time.
"Slave. I am her slave," Trevor said shamelessly, and Aaron raised his brows.
Was such a powerful man a slave of Amelia? What a joke.
But the man walked to Amelia’s side and opened the door.
"Hey! Don’t touch her. I can’t–" Aaron started.
"Princess, it’s me, Trevor. Let’s go," Trevor said to Amelia as he bent to pick her up.
"Trevor," Amelia smiled in her sleep, letting him pick her up.
When Aaron saw this, he didn’t know what else to say and could only see the man leaving before he placed the girl in the backseat of a modified Black Maybach at some distance.
Aaron waited for the car to leave, reminding himself to call her and ensure her safety once she reached home.
Amelia, fast asleep in the car, leaned into Cyrus’s body. The familiar smell made her smile. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
"You smell nice, hubby." Amelia rubbed her body against Cyrus before snuggling closer until she was comfortable.
Cyrus, who had come to ask her if she needed to buy a dress for the birthday celebration or the upcoming Lunar ball, didn’t expect her to sleep like this.
He looked at the girl, who was snuggling closer to him like a cat, until her head was in his lap and her foot was on the seat.
He saw his dress riding up a little and sighed.
Placing his hands on her thighs, he protected her head with his hand to ensure she wouldn’t hit her head on the seat ahead.
"Sir, doesn’t our princess look cute?" Fabian asked with a grin.
Cyrus, who was busy observing her sleeping face, scoffed.
"What is cute about her sleeping? She is a hooligan who doesn’t leave a chance to bully me," Cyrus said.
Fabian and Trevor - "..." Bully? Don’t you think you are using quite a bold term, sir? If someone heard you, they would think something kinky.
The two subordinates looked at each other before shaking their heads at their king.
