Kaden’s gaze was glued onto the draconian part. There was still something locked but he at least managed to unlock something partially. That too an epic tier form. This was a huge deal. He took a deep breath and activated the form, wanting to test it out immediately.
In a flash, he felt a jolt of power and pain run through him at the same time. The mist around him swirled, and then he felt something change at the base of his spine. A tail started growing out, moving on its own like it had a mind of its own. His skin even glowed a little, showing off some cool, light-up patterns.
[Ding! The draconian form can be activated for a total of ten hours.]
[Ding! All stats increased by 10%]
[Ding! All regeneration increased by 20%]
[Ding! All defenses increased by 20%]
Kaden was completely dumbfounded. This was something he had never expected. He thought he had to jump through several difficult loops to unlock the locked legendary form but it looked like one near-death fight with the actual thing was all it took at least to get something partial.
Well, that and eating big chunks of the dragon meat.
Kaden felt the rush of power as the pain faded into an exciting buzz. His new tail swished behind him, and everything just felt... different. He took a quick step forward and couldn’t believe how agile he was. A superior race was a superior race, alright. It felt damn amazing to be something draconian.
He looked at himself to see if anything else had changed and maybe he had sprouted some cool wings too, but nope—just his new tail and glowing skin. "Dang, at least that’s something," Kaden muttered to himself with a grin.
He took a couple of steps and tested his balance. The tail swished behind him, helping him steer as he moved. It felt weird but awesome at the same time. Even though he didn’t get wings yet, that extra agility made him feel like he could really kick some butt.
Kaden circled around, checking out his reflection in a puddle. The image was crazy: his skin still had that soft glow, and the tail moved as if it had a mind of its own. "I guess I’ll have to work on unlocking the legendary form later," he thought. "For now, this draconian vibe is pretty damn cool."
He took a deep breath, feeling the power buzzing in his veins. With a playful smirk, he decided to try a few moves—maybe a little jump or a quick dash—to see just how fast and nimble he was. Every step made him feel lighter like the world had gotten a bit more interesting.
He started climbing out of the Bone Pit and within seconds he was out of the damn thing.
Kaden laughed softly, shaking his head in disbelief. "This is sick," he said aloud, his voice echoing slightly in the mist. Even though he had a 10-day countdown to stabilize his bloodline, at this moment, he was just enjoying the rush of being something part-dragon.
However, he was not ready to leave yet. He went back down and gathered up everything from the battleground making sure not to miss even a tiny blood crystal or his abyssal shard that had fallen when his pants got ripped. He then piled all of it and stood in front of the pile, his tail swishing.
[Nature’s Grasp]
Roots burst from underneath the rocky ground tightly wrapping around the hall. He had to cast the skill only twice and everything was completely buried in a mess of roots and thorns.
Kaden sighed looking at the suspicious pile. It was a crime for priceless materials to be tossed in a pile and buried like this with twigs and thorns like biocompost trash but this was the best he could do at the moment. He could only hope that the miasma could continue to play its part for a few hours and guard his items.
With these improved stats, he just needed a few hours to reach one of the known core locations. That should potentially solve all of his problems. He once again started climbing out of Bone Pit and reached the surface in a few seconds.
Giving the ominous miasma seeping out of the pit another look, he ran towards the west. There was a stretch of plains in this area that barely gave any cover but this was the shortest path and he intended to take it.
Kaden started running at full speed, feeling the rush of the wind that whistled past him when suddenly he heard a loud shriek.
