Reborn as a Mind-Reading Empress-Chapter 680: Visit Estrella
"Me?!! A mate?!!" Alwin frowned deeply in disagreement. "I would never... I don’t need a mate!"
"For now, that is. But someday you will," Elder Satara chuckled at Alwin’s horrified expression.
[No! I don’t want to fall in love! What if I would be like His Majesty and Raymond when I find a mate?! No, no, no... The Elder must be kidding me.]
Alwin did not want to accept what Elder Satara said.
Meanwhile, Ferdinand was smiling.
"I look forward to the day you meet a mate, Alwin. I guess, I should begin preparing a separate island for you," Ferdinand said, and Alwin was further horrified.
"No, Your Majesty. There’s no need for that," Alwin quickly said when he recovered from the shock.
Ferdinand, Arabella, and Elder Satara just chuckled much to Alwin’s dismay for being treated like he was acting childish. Thanks to Alwin’s reaction, everyone’s mood became lighter.
"Let’s not talk about that anymore," Alwin harrumped. "More importantly, Elder, you and your children should go to Estrella. I’m alive and well so there’s nothing you should repent for. You were also not at fault for what happened in the past. You should go to Estrella and recover your strength. You’re all on the verge of dying."
Arabella glanced at Elder Satara, Laurence, and Laurencia. Elder Satara’s complexion was pale and while the twins looked like they were still healthy, from what they had explained earlier, they were also just waiting for their time to pass on to come.
It was quite sad. Especially since as Alwin said, Elder Satara was not at fault that her comrades died. And Alwin was alive and healthy. His mana heart did get broken but Ferdinand already mended it. Ferdinand’s massive presence hid Alwin’s from then on until it was discovered later that he was an Elven Prince.
Elder Satara and her twins would have a chance at a new life at Estrella and live much longer just as elves should.
The twins’ eyes sparkled at the thought of getting a chance to see Estrella. However, Elder Satara pondered over it.
"You can visit Estrella first with your children and decide after that," Ferdinand offered.
"We can?" Elder Satara’s eyes widened.
Arabella learned from Ferdinand’s thoughts that due to Elder Satara refusing to go to Estrella in the past, the former emperor no longer sent people to talk her into going to Estrella since she already made her choice to stay here last time.
Elder Satara was not the only one of the long-lived races who had chosen to stay in the human realm.
There was a list so that every time there was a change in rulers in Valeria, the next rulers would not bother them by sending people to inquire if they would like to go to Estrella instead of staying in the human realm.
Those who decided to stay had made their choices and it was to be respected.
That was why all those on the list were already excluded from visits unless they, themselves, approached.
After all, there were also cases where some changed their mind as the years went by and contacted them to head to Estrella after the times changed.
"Yes, of course. Alvis would surely be delighted to see you and your children," Ferdinand welcomed them.
[Not just delighted. Uncle would be overjoyed to see Laurence and Laurencia. He would be sad that their children and kin had perished. Thus, he might insist that they stay. But I’m sure they could make the choice themselves since they seem to be attached to Lobelius Kingdom. He would not be able to force them in case they still choose to stay here.] Alwin thought.
Arabella was surprised since Alvis did not seem like that kind of person. However, he might have been so polite with her since she closely resembled his old friend and had her soul.
Likewise, due to the Great War, the longlived raises were delighted with each addition to their numbers.
[King Alvis... It’s been a long time. He was saddened when I chose to stay here but I was too depressed to decide otherwise. It would be nice to see him and the others again.]
Elder Satara had a hint of sadness in her eyes as she thought about the Elven King and the other elves she knew who were in Estrella.
"Then we would like to visit first," the Elder concluded and her children’s eyes brightened up, excited to see what Estrella would be like.
"Good. Set your schedule with Alwin. He would bring you to greet Elrond, then teleport you to the elves’ island," Ferdinand instructed.
[Elrond was complaining about Alwin not even visiting him once ever since he returned. This works both ways.]
’Oh my. Alwin is treasured by more people than he thought,’ Arabella smiled when she heard Ferdinand’s thoughts. She had heard about The Overseer of Estrella to have Alwin work for him, but Alwin escaped giving a direct response by saying he was still lacking and still had much to learn.
They then discussed the schedule. Alwin gave Elder Satara some of her mana to strengthen her a bit before since they could not find an agreement yet on when the schedule of the meeting would be.
When the discussions about Estrella and the past were finally done, only then was Arabella able to bring up the topic of the fruits for Clarisse. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"Right, Elder Satara, as I have mentioned in my letter, I need some fruits for the Prime Minister’s wife, Lady Clarisse. I shared the fruits that Aletha brought with her last time and she was suddenly craving them now that she was pregnant."
"Oh, yes. Of course, I had a lot of fruits prepared," the Elder chuckled. "All of it was picked just this morning."
"That would be wonderful," Arabella sighed in relief. She almost forgot their main goal for coming here due to all the revelations.
They then continued their conversations at a more relaxed pace. They had dinner with Elder Satara and her family before deciding to head back.
