Rebirth Swapped Bride; Married to the Ruthless Cursed Billionaire-Chapter 27: Being followed
Chapter 27 - Being followed
"What?"
Emma's face turned pale.
"Is... Is everything being returned?" "What about it?"
An evening raise of the eyebrows, a handsome face displaying an eerily cold smirk.
"Is there a problem?"
"I....." Emma bit her lip tightly, wholly unwilling in her heart, yet dared not to refuse.
The kind of person who could easily whip out over eight million definitely wasn't one she could afford to offend.
Watching Emma's complexion, an amused smile broke across the refined and lovely face of Joe Anne.
Serves her right.
From the eyes of the other salesgirls, jealousy has transformed to schadenfreude.
"Emma, proceed with the refund for these two ladies."
A man dressed like a manager hurriedly walked in from the outside.

Upon seeing the man, Emma's face grew even more displeasing.
"Yes, manager."
After replying, she lowered her head and silently began processing Camilla's refunds one by one.
Watching the significant commission slipping away right before her eyes, Emma was filled with extreme regret, and tears began to stream from her eyes.
"Be careful," With a smile, Tiffany conveyed her words back to her verbatim.
"If you dirty the goods, they won't be sellable."
Seeing the situation, the manager realized that Emma had seriously offended these two customers.
He glared fiercely at Emma before bowing in apology towards Camilla and Tiffany with an embarrassed expression.
"I'm truly sorry for bringing you an unpleasant shopping experience,"
"To show our apology, I'd like to upgrade both of you to VIP members of our store.
What do you think?" These were clients potentially worth millions.
It would be a great loss if they were missed just like that.
Who would have known that such an incident would occur in just a short while of stepping out?
"It's not necessary," After looking at Emma, whose face had turned the color of a pig's liver, Camilla lightly opened her red lips.
"The service at your store leaves much to be desired."
"I, I am deeply sorry."
Although the manager was reluctant, he knew that his staff was at fault and dared not argue further.
As for Emma, he was not going to let her continue.
After the return of goods was complete, the manager, with the ashen-faced Emma, ushered Camilla and Tiffany to the door.
Just then.
"Camilla, stop right there!!" Dressed in a blood-stained blue dress, the painful Lizzy ran out from the back staff room and chased in the direction of Camilla.
"Where is Mr. Boris? Where have you lured my boyfriend to?"
The manager furrowed his brows. What's going on here? Yet it seemed as though Emma had caught sight of a glimmer of hope.
A bright light flashed across her eyes. Thank goodness, there's still this dress!
"Oh, are you referring to that old, chubby man?" Without waiting for Camilla to respond, Tiffany shrugged and said with a smile.
"He ran off with your order, I'm afraid you'll have to pay for your dress yourself."
"What, ran off? Impossible!!" Lizzy's face was twisted in disbelief.
"It must be you, the one behind the tricks, XKR.
It must be you!" As she spoke, she was moving towards Camilla again.
"What?" Camilla remained motionless, just coldly watching Lizzy.
"Do you feel like your face isn't sore enough?"
Facing Camilla's eyes that seemed to carry a hint of murderous intent, Lizzy felt as if she had plunged into an ice cellar, her steps involuntarily stopped..
"Tiffany, let's continue shopping,"
After giving a faint smile to Emma, Camilla took Tiffany's arm and headed for the luxury store opposite.
The store opposite had already noticed the commotion, seeing Camilla and Tiffany with overwhelming enthusiasm.
The manager's temples ached as he felt his headache pulse, his gaze at Emma was filled with rage.
"Pack up and leave."
When Camilla and Tiffany came out after a round of shopping, they happened to see Lizzy struggling as she was led away by the police.
The two exchanged a laugh and then headed out.
"Boss," The man wearing a peaked cap, watching Camilla and Tiffany's silhouettes, pressed the communication button in his ear.
"They're about to leave."
A luxury version of a Maybach halted in front of Camilla and Tiffany.
"Mr. Luther had me wait for you here,"
The driver, wearing white gloves, descended from the driver's seat.
He respectfully bowed and opened the car door for Camilla and Tiffany.
"Please get in the car."
"Wow,"
Tiffany watched the entire process, teasing her friend with a wink and a quiet laugh.
"This grandeur is definitely fitting for the young Miss of a corporation worth trillions."
"Quit it,"
After confirming that it was indeed the Luther Family's driver, Camilla gently pinched her cute friend's face.
"Get in the car, I'll drop you off first."
"All right," Tiffany decided not to tease her friend anymore.
"In that case, I'll respectfully accept your offer."
The car headed towards the community where Tiffany lived.
At this moment, several cars in the not far distance also started one after another, following behind at a safe distance.
"Boss, the plan has changed," said the man wearing a duckbill cap, his gaze focused on the Maybach not too far away.
"They are not taking the route back to Luther's residence."
"Just follow them," a displeased voice came from the other end of the call.
"Adapt as the situation changes."
"Yes," the man with the duckbill cap squinted his eyes slightly, accelerating his speed a touch.
The other cars followed suit. At this moment. Luther Corporation Headquarters.
"President Luther," Ramsey hung up the phone, his expression serious.
"Our insider has sent word, four cars are tailing the madam."
In front of the massive floor-to-ceiling window.
Sinclair, looking down at the bustling traffic below, a faintly ambiguous smirk on his devilishly handsome face.
"So, they can't wait any longer?" Ramsey was noncommittal.
He hadn't expected their patience to wear so thin.
Sinclair's inscrutable eyes slightly squinted.
"They need to be alive."
"Yes, sir," Ramsey understood instantly.
"Mr. Luther, should we keep this from the madam?"
After all, those people might act at any moment.
If they wanted to keep this from the madam, they would need to initiate action before the other party.
Sinclair's lips curving up slightly. "No need."
Those eyes are full of fear, conveying a fragile beauty.
As if it would break at a single touch.
Ramsey: .... Is President Luther trying to frighten his wife? Or does he want his wife to be more cautious in the future?
Certainly, it's the latter.
Having mentally prepared himself, Ramsey backed out.
-- Inside the Maybach.
"Madam,"
The driver, having heard the news through the wireless earpiece, spoke with solemnity.
"We are being followed."
Followed?!
Tiffany was taken aback.
She had written this kind of scene countless times in her novels, but it was her first time encountering it in reality.
Once she regained her composure, the astonishment in her eyes turned into a faint excitement.
Originally, Camilla wanted to comfort her friend: .....
Her beautiful eyes narrowed slightly, and she solemnly stared at the rear-view mirror.
On the roads in San Francisco, it was business as usual with cars coming and going.
It was hard to tell which car was out of place.
"Do you know how many cars there are?"
Her voice was indifferent, and it was hard to detect anything amiss.
"Four jeeps."
Having received the message from above, the driver left no stone unturned.
Four jeeps.
That meant at least a dozen or more people on the opposing side.
Camilla remained unperturbed. "How many people are we having covertly protecting us?"
Madam even knows about this?
"Four."
A hint of surprise flashed across the driver's eyes, but fearing the Madam would be scared, he added another sentence.
"But the reinforcements have already set off.
They should arrive shortly."
Camilla nodded. She knew that the Luther Family's reinforcements would be quick.
But no matter how fast, she didn't want to gamble.
Or rather, she dared not. She had to find a solution.
Camilla squinted her beautiful eyes, looking around as if scheming something.
She's got it!
