Rebirth as The Billionaire's Seventh Wife-Chapter 215: Grateful!
Chapter 215: Grateful!
On the way home from Renata and Danny’s wedding, Aurora immediately took out her phone to check the media coverage.
However, she can’t help but vent her frustration after just a few more seconds.
"What the heck with these people! Why do they upload my unpretty pictures?"
Sitting beside Aurora, Alex glanced at her and immediately noticed his wife was in a bad mood right after the car started moving.
"What picture?"
Aurora didn’t answer him; instead, she offered her cell phone for him to look at.
Alex frowned and checked her cell phone. She was surprised to see it was an article about their first public appearance.
"Rory, you look stunning here..." Alex says with a smile, stealing a glance at his upset wife. "What are you complaining about, my dear?" ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
She took her cell phone and pointed it at her face, "I’m a bit chubby there, Alex..."
"Oh, darling, to me, there’s no difference. You look even cuter here. Besides, I don’t mind if you gain a little weight." Alex gently took her hand and squeezed it.
Aurora no longer said anything; she simply shook her head and began to read a few articles.
’At least the netizen’s comment is completely positive...’ Aurora reflects, feeling a sense of relief. Unlike when they announced their wedding, almost every netizen talked trash about her.
She continued to enjoy reading the comment, and it didn’t take long before their vehicle came to a stop at their house.

Another week passed.
Aurora returned to her usual routine: eating, working, and gossiping with the staff at their house.
But today will be different because her in-laws are coming over to visit them after they return from their summer holiday trips.
It’s too bad; She had to suddenly call off their plans to join Sophia and Matthew for the summer holiday because her morning sickness was overwhelming.
"What time will your parents arrive today?" Aurora asked, gently assisting Alex with his suit as he prepared for work.
"They will come to lunch with you, and Mom will stay with you while Dad goes to his office."
After making sure his tie was fixed and neat, she looked up to meet his gaze.
"I hear they are planning to stay for a few nights?"
"Yes. Rory, I hope you don’t mind?"
"Absolutely, I don’t mind at all! I’m happy about it because I can enjoy Sophia’s delicious cooking, and it’s great that your dad can meet with my dad, too!" Aurora softly replies.
Alex said nothing, yet he wrapped her in his arms.
"You are so kind, Rory. I’m glad to be your husband."
Listening to his whisper makes Aurora’s heart swell once more. She looks up to meet his gaze.
"Can you not squeeze me like that? It will ruin your suit, Alex!" She playfully pushes him away, but he just hugs her tighter.
Finally, Aurora surrendered, wrapping her hand around his waist and resting her head against his strong chest.
Before long, Aurora reminded Alex that he could be late for his meeting.
"You need to go now, Alex!"
"Okay, I’ll head out now..." Alex said hesitantly, holding her hand as they walked out of the bedroom.
Aurora has been finding Alex funny lately.
It’s interesting to see how reluctant he is to go to the office. After being a workaholic for so long, he really wants to work from home with her instead.
...
After watching Alex’s car drive away and slowly vanish from her sight, she went back inside.
"Oh, Tina..." Aurora spotted her entering the main house, carrying two large clear boxes. "Are you prepared with the raw ingredients for Sophia?"
"Yes. Your mother-in-law called Martin and asked for a few raw ingredients," Tina explained as she placed the boxes in the kitchen. "Do you need anything from me? I mean, are you hungry again?"
Aurora suppressed a laugh at her comments. She had just eaten an hour earlier and was clearly still full.
"I’m not hungry... I only want to help if you need one."
"I’m not too busy, Ma’am. Your in-laws will only arrive at ten," Tina said gently, leading her to leave the kitchen. "You can go upstairs to rest or work, Ma’am..."
"Are you sure you don’t need me here?"
"Yes, go ahead. I’ll bring your snack to your office at nine."
Aurora stopped helping her, returned upstairs, and went to her office.
...
As Aurora works in her office, Sophia Morrison finally arrives with Matthew Graystone. She notices Tina and Martin are waiting for them, but doesn’t see the person she wants to meet the most, Aurora.
"Tina, where’s Aurora? Did she make it to the office?" Sophia asked, her brow furrowing in concern. She really missed her and her son, too—that’s why she headed here right after they landed.
"Madam, she is working upstairs. But when I checked on her earlier, she was asleep. Should I wake her up?"
"No. Let her sleep a bit..."
Sophia smiled as she stepped inside the house, with Matthew following behind.
Instead of lingering at the main house, Matthew went directly to the stone house to catch up with Thomas Moon.
After watching her husband leave, Sophia asked Tina to help her in the kitchen.
Tina quickly jumped in to help her by taking all the fresh produce and ingredients from the box.
"Madam, I’m curious; what are you planning to have for lunch today?"
"Of course, my daughter-in-law’s favorite..." Sophia replies, smiling as she starts to process the ingredients and hands Tina a task.
This isn’t their first time working together in the kitchen, and Tina knows what to do without being asked or told.
They cooked faster in silence, but soon, Tina was moved by Sophia’s kindness toward Aurora. She heard from other staff that Sophia was a terrible mother-in-law, which is why her son had six ex-wives.
Surprisingly, Sophia adores Aurora.
Tina couldn’t help but express her gratitude for Aurora having a mother-in-law as wonderful as Sophia.
"Madam, I sincerely appreciate all you do for Aurora..." Tina smiled when she noticed Sophia looking at her in surprise.
She went on to say, "Your kindness toward Aurora means the world to me! If I’m no longer here one day, I will definitely inform her parents about you... How wonderful and caring you are as a mother-in-law. You’ve truly been a blessing!"
Sophia suddenly laughed at Tina’s words. She couldn’t accept the compliment because she wasn’t a good mother-in-law, at least not to some of her ex-daughters-in-law.
"Don’t compliment me too much, Tina..."
Sophia resumed cooking, trying to distract her mind from the worst part of her past: when she was too obsessed with having a grandchild and pushing her son to get married a few times.
Every woman Alex married never captured his interest, which caused her stress and frustration. That period in her life was sorrowful for her until Aurora Spencer came into their life.
Things have changed a lot over time. Aurora didn’t just win her son’s heart; she also got the love of everyone around her. Now, she’s about to give them the grandkid they’ve been waiting for, turning their hopes and dreams into reality.
How could she not like and love Aurora? The girl was a blessing to their family.
Sophia always feels grateful to God for sending Aurora to their family.
"But, Madam... I truly mean it. You are a wonderful mother-in-law for my young madam, and I appreciate your genuine care for her." Tina continues to convey her gratitude to Sophia.
Silence hung in the air as they both resumed their focus on cooking.
Sophia warmly shared her gratitude not long after, saying, "Thank you, Tina. I am still learning to be a good mother-in-law for Aurora. And I’m delighted and grateful to hear your words. And I hope Aurora also feels the same as you."
Tina smiled as she approached Sophia and whispered, "Madam, Aurora always praises you. She is very grateful that you pamper her. When you’re on holiday, she always says she misses your cooking."
Sophia stopped chopping carrots and looked at Tina, her eyes fluttering with happiness.
"R-Really, she always talks about me? She misses my cooking?"
"Yes, yes, every time we talk about you, she always ends up praising and thankful for you."
Tina smiled, growing even wider as she noticed the happiness in Sophia’s eyes.
"I’m also grateful to have Aurora as my daughter-in-law; she’s pretty, smart, and the important thing is, my son loves her so much," Sophia said in her soft voice, but loud enough for Aurora at the doorway to hear that.
Aurora has been standing there for quite a while, listening to Tina and Sophia talk about her. She feels her heart swell with happiness upon discovering Sophia’s deep feelings.
Although they have always been close, Aurora has never heard Sophia discuss this topic quite like what she overheard now.
’Sophia...thank you! You had no idea how grateful I am for a second chance to see that you are actually a nice person. You truly are a good mother-in-law...’
