Re-Awakening with the Summoner's Class-Chapter 28: Speedrun

A Sea Serpent over 20 meters in length jumped out of the water, its blue scales shimmered in the sunlight.

"And now a Sea Serpent? How terrible is our luck!"

Gloppy shouted and his brow ticked from the annoyance that kept boiling inside him.

On top of the marine fleet turning them into Swiss cheese, now a sea beast appeared next to their flagship.

Inside the snake's mouth, glowing cyan light started to form, quickly gaining in size and intensity.

"I would say it's not bad at all."

Leo exclaimed while being totally calm, barely even paying attention to the oversized fish.

And in a single moment, a laser split the ship in half... but it wasn't their vessel. One of the navy galleons next to the portal began to sink as its charred wood fell apart.

"Full speed ahead!"

The Slime Overlord pointed his cutlass forward as the slimes ran around loading cannons and fixing the sails.

Right after he traded places with Emerald and ran to the front of the ship.

"Leo! Can you use this to send me flying?"

He pointed toward the serpent Leo just summoned. Excitement was overflowing from him that a chance to show off appeared so soon.

To the summoner, it looked like a terrible plan, but he decided to trust in his Warlord and commanded the serpent to throw him high into the air.

Once Gloppy was high enough to his liking, he stretched out all of his limbs to slow down the fall while focusing deeply.

[Cannon Barrage]

An array of cannons appeared behind him shooting downwards and wrecking hacov on the other vessel blocking their way.

Due to the angle at which the projectiles fell, marines on the galleon weren't able to dodge or deflect most of them.

This rendered the vessel out of commission as it started to fill with water.

Panic ensued on the ship as the navy soldiers dropped their weapons and picked up buckets, prioritizing survival over completing their mission.

"Woohoo! That was awesome."

Gloppy threw his hands high into the air in celebration as the Serpent grabbed him around the waist, pulling him back onto the Slimy Pearl.

Now that the two galleons were taken care off, they were able to reach the gate without any problems.

The exit was way too small to fit the entire flagship through it, so they jumped out through it one by one. Both of the summoners recalled their underlings as they passed the gate.

All of them fell to the ground in the same basement where they started from. Leo got up the first to see what kind of rewards they got.

Sea of windows appeared as unknowingly to him, on top of completing the gate, he had also finished his daily quest.

"Leo."

Gloppy tried to grab his attention, but the summoner just waved him away for a moment, too busy reading up the summary of rewards and checking different windows.

"Hey!"

One by one he closed the popups until only one was left, as he closed that too, a familiar face showed up behind it.

"You are okay!"

Nyssa hugged him tightly, wiping tears from her eyes as she did. Behind her stood Zeph and the remains of a singular slime Gloppy sent earlier.

Leo patted the weeping girl on her back. He was happy inside that she cared so much for him.

"And what are those new clothes? And new staff... and that woman behind you."

She pointed towards The Fearmonger.

"Oh yes, I wanted to know that as well. Mind explaining it to us Gloppy."

While he explained the whole situation, Zeph brought fitting clothes for the demons.

The summoner nodded through the whole story, but one part didn't make sense to him at all.

"And how exactly does she use summons... I don't think it's a good idea to just give her 20 if she isn't able to do anything."

Up close he could see her blood-red hair and horns on her head. She had a smug look on her face as she took out the stuff from the pocket of the jeans she just put on.

Without even asking for more slots, she summoned 20 Hellwings, a creature that looked more like an eagle than a bat.

"I'm sorry to interrupt your reunion, but Mister Adams told me to transport you straight to the next gate."

Zeph spoke and pointed towards the stairs. They followed her and saw a small car, then looked back at how many people there were.

"1, 2, 3, 4, 5,6,7 8..."

And the car had only... 5 places. The butler called someone over her phone and turned back to the party.

"You will have to excuse me, we will come back shortly with a vehicle to move all of you."

She bowed and got in the car, driving to pick up a different vehicle.

"So in the meantime, you can catch me up to what happened. Right?"

Nyssa smiled at him, her eyes were still red from crying but she ignored it as there was no longer a reason to do that.

As they waited, Leo told her about the whole adventure they had in as much detail as he could. When he got to the end with the Blackbeard she had her mouth wide open.

In the meantime he also opened the Chest of sea beast material, counting the materials and rationing them out.

"I was also meaning to ask, what rune did you end up getting?"

She took out her rune and showed it to him.

But as they were about to continue the topic, a very fancy camping truck drove close to them. It was almost as tall as a normal house and wide enough to barely fit on one lane of the road.

Its doors opened revealing Zeph who sat inside.

"Come in."

She gestured, inviting all of them in. Once inside they realzied just how fancy it was. There were 4 bedrooms in a singular car, there was also a kitchen and a room with a plasma TV.

"Wow! That must have cost a fortune! Is it Adam's?"

Leo asked Zeph who was in the driver's seat, a heated blanket on her and a soda can in hand.

"Huh? No, it's my own."

The butler pressed on the gas pedal and instantly sped up to 200km/h, which in turn made everyone fall over the ground.

"Now driving towards. Grand Canyon"

Her phone said as it showed her the path.
