Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 994: Don’t Mind Me
Lily Turner and Easton Holmes are complete opposites; he doesn’t understand Alice Turner, while she doesn’t understand Benjamin Shaw. However, she knows her sister very well, and she can tell her sister is acting strange.
Lily cast a annoyed glance at Benjamin Shaw as he walked out the door, then she immediately approached Alice Turner, "Sis! Are you alright?"
As she walked over, she reached out and took her sister’s arm.
"I’m fine."
Alice Turner flashed a forced smile at her sister, then walked into the living room together with her.
Lily didn’t say anything more but tilted her head to scrutinize Alice. As she was observing, she suddenly recalled something and hurriedly lowered her head to look at Alice’s left hand.
Seeing this, Alice quickly shoved her left hand into her pocket, but it was too late; Lily had already seen her left hand wrapped in bandages. As Alice tried to tuck it away, Lily reached out and grabbed her left hand, "Sis! Your hand is injured? How did you get hurt?"
When Lily noticed Alice’s odd behavior during dinner just now, she suspected that her left hand might be injured. However, seeing Alice’s hand wrapped in bandages still caught her by surprise.
Along with the surprise, she felt a deep worry. Holding her sister’s injured left hand with both hands, she realized that the injury was much more severe than it initially appeared.
"I accidentally broke a glass while drinking water, and cut my hand while picking up the pieces." Alice tried to simplify the situation to make it seem less of a concern, hoping that her sister wouldn’t be too anxious.
Lily was skeptical of her sister’s explanation and was about to continue pressing her when Christopher Turner and Sophia Wood walked in from outside. She instinctively turned to look at the two entering.
"Did you see off Uncle and Aunt?"
It was upon hearing Christopher and Sophia went to see off Alexander Shaw and Isla Lane that Lily and Easton left the dining room, only to catch Benjamin preparing to leave.
The couple who had just entered, one headed toward the sisters, the other moved toward their son-in-law.
"Yes."
Sophia casually responded as she walked toward the sisters. Although she appeared calm, her thoughts were a mess.
She wanted desperately to pull Alice aside for a private chat, but refrained since her younger daughter and son-in-law were present.
"Easton! You and my parents chat for a while, I’m going upstairs with Sis." Lily was less preoccupied by Sophia’s concerns. She grabbed Alice and walked out of the living room without much regard for her willingness.
Alice, wanting to chat with Lily herself, didn’t object and followed her sister’s lead out of the living room.
Witnessing this, Sophia initially paused as she was about to sit down. Instead of immediately following, she addressed Easton, who was already seated, "Easton! You and your dad have a chat here; I’m going upstairs to check on the sisters."
Her mind was already racing to catch up, but before she could act without a response, she worried it might appear rude.
"Please, go ahead; don’t worry about me."
Easton noticed Sophia’s anxiety and politely replied immediately.
"Then I’ll be off; you guys chat."
Receiving his response, Sophia promptly turned and left the living room, wasting no time in heading upstairs.
