Alice Turner didn’t go out to see off Alexander Shaw and Isla Lane, but she also didn’t immediately go back to accompany Benjamin Shaw. She only turned around to go back after seeing the four elders walk away.
"Benjamin Shaw! Let’s go and get it done later, just the two of us." Alice Turner walked over without even having a chance to sit down, and immediately brought up the divorce issue with Benjamin Shaw. She needed to get the divorce paperwork done with him as soon as possible, otherwise his parents would come up with plans to reconcile the two of them.
Benjamin Shaw’s expression suddenly darkened, and a surge of anger rose within him, "Alice Turner! Is divorce the only thing you know how to talk about now?"

"Besides divorce, there’s nothing left for us to say." Since what happened last night, Alice Turner had lost all goodwill toward Benjamin Shaw, and in her heart now, he was simply a total scoundrel. When she saw him, she only felt annoyed.
Benjamin Shaw abruptly stood up from the sofa and glared angrily at Alice Turner. Then he headed towards the living room exit, and as he walked out, he made a not-so-friendly remark to her, "I don’t want to talk to you about anything."
As he spoke, he neither paused nor looked back at her. After speaking, he walked away without turning his head.
Seeing the situation, Alice Turner immediately chased after him, and as she ran out of the living room, she suddenly saw Easton Holmes and Lily Turner approaching from that direction, instinctively causing her to halt her steps.
"Are you leaving?"
Upon seeing Easton Holmes, Benjamin Shaw immediately put away his angry expression, but his anger was still noticed by Easton Holmes.
Benjamin Shaw spoke, trying to make his tone as calm as possible, but the anger within was too strong, making it hard to control, "Yeah! There’s something going on at the company."
Whether the company had issues or not, he didn’t know, but he knew he needed to leave immediately, or he wouldn’t be able to control his anger, and might explode at that woman in front of everybody.
"Then you’d better hurry."
When Easton Holmes walked over earlier, he could see something was off between Benjamin Shaw and Alice Turner. Though he didn’t know what exactly happened, he was sure the two had a disagreement just now.
He wasn’t very familiar with his sister-in-law, but he knew his good friend very well. He could see the attempt to restrain his anger, yet the anger was still palpable.
Their argument made it clear they needed to separate and cool off. He understood his friend was looking for an excuse to leave, so he had to cooperate, knowing it was for the best for both of them.
Benjamin Shaw understood his friend knew him well, and hearing his words made him unsurprised, "Then I’ll head out."
After speaking, he continued walking briskly toward the exit, leaving without even glancing back at Alice Turner.
"What a jerk! Who wants you around anyway?" Seeing Benjamin Shaw leave without even a glance at Alice Turner, Lily Turner muttered angrily.
Easton Holmes stood by her side, and her complaint didn’t escape his ears. He sighed quietly, realizing that with his wife on one side and his best friend on the other, he would face some tough times ahead.
