Lily Turner and Thomas Fisher both understood what Easton Holmes was trying to convey. They also caught his dissatisfaction in his words, but their reactions were not the same.

"I got it."

Lily thought Easton made a lot of sense and didn’t voice any differing opinions. She nodded obediently, accepting his reminder.

Because of what had just happened, Thomas was full of resentment towards Easton. He knew his big brother wasn’t happy about calling Lily "Goddess", yet he deliberately did the opposite.

"Goddess Lily! When is your film ’Love on the Road’ going to be released? I’ll definitely be there to support it." Thomas directly bypassed Easton’s reminder and shifted the topic to the movie Lily had recently starred in.

He genuinely wanted to support it, not just to annoy his big brother. When the time came, he planned to drag all his friends there too.

Lily hadn’t expected Thomas to change the topic, and even less expected him to bring up the movie she had recently starred in.

"I don’t know when it will be released." She shook her head at him.

"You don’t know when it will be released? How is that possible?" Thomas thought Lily was being modest, but he didn’t know she really didn’t know. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

Lily sighed and explained, "I’m just an actress. My job is to act in the film. I don’t handle the rest. I’m quite lazy and don’t want to worry about it."

She was truly ’lazy’. Once the acting was done, she didn’t concern herself with other matters.

A series of things thereafter were arranged by her agent, and she just acted accordingly when the time came.

"How can you not care about the film you starred in?" Thomas couldn’t comprehend Lily’s approach and blurted out this question.

Before Lily could respond, Easton disapprovingly looked at him, "Why can’t she be like this? What do all those random matters have to do with your sister-in-law?"

Not only did they have nothing to do with her, but even if she wanted to mind, he would prevent her. If possible, he wouldn’t even let her act.

Now that she was pregnant, going out to film was unnecessary, and he had a good reason to stop her.

Maybe what happened yesterday even helped him; he might not even need to stop her, as nobody will probably seek her out for roles anymore.

Her boss definitely wouldn’t easily order her around anymore, and her contract was about to expire. Easton wasn’t sure what her opinion was, but he hoped she would refuse to renew it because of the baby.

"All those random matters have nothing to do with sister-in-law, nothing at all." Since Easton had spoken, Thomas dared not express any views or opinions, agreeing repeatedly that it had nothing to do with her.

Thomas’s agreement pleased Easton, but he didn’t show any change on the surface, remaining expressionless.

"You should support your sister-in-law, but don’t bother her with these random matters. She hasn’t got the extra energy to deal with you right now." Easton said a lot, and after finishing his point, he looked down at Lily in his arms, "Honey! Let’s deal with these kinds of annoying people less, they’re such a bother!"

When he said "such a bother", he didn’t forget to glance at his good buddy sitting on the other side.

Hearing this, Thomas wailed in grievance, "Big brother! You can’t vilify me like this, when have I ever been bothersome?"
