Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 1002: I Trust He Won’t Act Recklessly
Lily Turner’s words gave Alice Turner a shock inside, but outwardly, she tried to remain calm. It didn’t matter if her sister noticed something, but she couldn’t let their mom see through her.
The elders would definitely make a fuss and pass moral judgment on her. If she was judged, it was her own fault, but she couldn’t let him suffer along with her.
"I really just heard what you said earlier."
When Alice Turner spoke to Lily Turner, she secretly poked Lily in the arm, hoping her sister wouldn’t ask more.
Sensing that her arm was poked by someone, Lily Turner instinctively glanced down, saw her sister Alice Turner’s hand, and upon following it, she looked over at her sister sitting next to her, immediately understanding what she meant.
"Your ears are really sharp."
She knew her sister was being mysterious. No, she had to find a way to get their mom to leave so she could have a heartfelt talk with her sister.
"Of course."
As Alice Turner spoke, she naturally entwined Lily Turner’s arm, squeezing it slightly, silently signaling her sister to drop the topic.
Lily Turner got the hint, and even without Alice’s cue, she wouldn’t continue discussing it because she sensed another situation.
"Mom! Let’s leave this matter as is. We shouldn’t interfere. Let Easton handle it, I trust he won’t act rashly." She confidently said, looking at her mom.
"But..."
"Mom! There’s no ’but.’ Regardless of why that boy did what he did, he should take responsibility for his actions. If he dared to do it, he should face the consequences."
Sophia Wood wanted to say more to advise Lily, but as soon as she started with "but," Alice quickly interrupted her.
Lily was very much in agreement with her sister Alice’s views, nodding in support, "Yeah! Sister’s right." After pausing for a moment, she added, "Mom! It’s not that I’m heartlessly not helping that boy, but think about it. If we don’t let him face some punishment this time, he won’t realize his mistakes and might do even worse things in the future. That would only harm him."
Her intention was to make their mom see that letting the boy face punishment was genuinely saving him; being lenient now would only ruin him.
Sophia Wood listened to the sisters’ lengthy discussion and gradually understood, realizing they made a good point. As they said, letting the boy face the necessary punishment was truly for his benefit.
"It’s all my fault. I didn’t think it through. Luckily, I have you two sisters here; otherwise, I would’ve made a mistake again." She sighed deeply, finally giving up her blind intention of saving the boy. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
"We all make mistakes sometimes. When something comes up later, let’s discuss more together to avoid making foolish errors," Alice Turner was the first to voice her opinion and ideas. There was nothing to hide among the three of them. She looked at Sophia Wood and then at Lily Turner, hoping they shared her thoughts.
Lily Turners nodded in agreement, "Yeah! I agree. Let’s discuss together when things come up."
"I agree too." Sophia Wood also supported Alice’s proposal.
"Mom! I’d like to chat with my sister about some private sisterly matters. Could you give us some privacy?" Lily hesitated for a moment before directly asking Sophia Wood to leave.
