"You silly child. Of course you can't. Are you even a man if you aren't willing to die for your land? Besides, if the beasts win, they'll eventually find a way to get into the Embryo since it's still connected to the main world. I can't protect it forever after all. Staying with me is also out of the question right now. It's worse than fighting in the upcoming war if anything. And don't bother asking me to kill all the beasts. That's not my responsibility but yours, besides, I have bigger fish to fry, as I told you before. Anyway, make your choice. The rest of the girls joined in too. They were uncertain about the future. They were scared even. However, some fights just couldn't be avoided. And this was one of them.

Only Muku was left sitting there silently with a troubled look on his face.

Audrey spoke gently while holding Muku's hand.

The others nodded in agreement.

"That was completely unnecessary you crazy thing! I was about to say yes!. So you know you're reckless? Good good, I'll be there. But not to save you. I just want to personally witness this death of yours!" Muku snapped at Jade.

"Y-you, you! How can you say that to a beautiful lady like me? How can you wish me death? Such a ruthless character!" Jade replied in a wronged tone.

"Beautiful, yes. Lady? No" Muku replied simply.

At that point, Jade wanted to fight it out with Muku. The others had to get involved to stop her.

Besides that, everything was actually going well. The tension in the air had been dispelled and they were all in high spirits despite the deadly situation they were facing.

After that, for the next few days, she put the girls through the same grueling trials Muku went through before.

Of course that didn't mean that he and Raya were chilling. They were given a new set of trials to do. And this time it was mind trials. Their minds were messed with so much that they even contemplated giving up a few times. From painful illusions to ones so perfect they seemed like dreams. But of course, they were traps made to keep your mind forever imprisoned. Fortunately, they all passed the trials. The girls were made to do the mind trials as well. Then there were avatar trials, elemental trials, control trials, and so on. Anything and everything that could be tested on was tested on. And it was hell.

Of course, the benefits were amazing too. The rest of the girls finally got rings. Everyone's power was boosted further without breaking through.

And they unlocked new ways of using their powers under Mrs C's guidance.

She also helped them improve their force technique even more. Muku's insights were still limited compared to hers after all.

After that, they were finally done. Mrs C looked at them with a proud expression on her face.

Their auras had completely changed when compared to before. Almost like different people in an unchanged shell.

"Okay. With that done. Let's get to the fun part. I really can't wait anymore. I want to see you all as R7s already!" Mrs C spoke after a moment of silent appreciation.

"Raya" Muku called out.

She sat on the ground in a meditative position with her eyes shut.

Her mana started radiating out of her body. But that wasn't all. A mystical golden energy was mixed in with her mana. It was belief energy of course.

Soon the 3 energies synced and then mixed into one. It was a dark golden energy that gave off a very powerful pressure. But everyone was strong enough to take it, so no problems arose.

After that, golden clouds began forming above Raya.

This reminded the group of her bloodline rituals. However, the clouds were not only different in color but also in function.

These weren't meant to suppress, they were purely for testing and strengthening.

They even gave off a holy and pleasing aura. However, everyone knew that they were still very dangerous. So none took them lightly. Raya's body tensed up as she sensed them. But she didn't open her eyes.

At that point, Raya was completely covered by a golden energy that the others couldn't see through. They couldn't even sense through it.

Interestingly enough, they couldn't sense it despite looking at it. But they knew that it was something special. They could just feel it.

After that, the energy suddenly started spinning like it was getting sucked into something.

As that happened, it started disappearing.

However, Raya wasn't revealed even after it was completely gone.

At least not in the way they were used to.

They could only hear her pained screams but there was nothing there.

They resisted the urge to run over and see what was happening.

Since Mrs C wasn't doing anything, then things were probably fine right?

She even had a smile on her face.

After a while, the screaming stopped.

Then a golden figure with no features at all was revealed.

The energy exploded everywhere. Everyone instinctively closed their eyes.

When they opened them, there was nothing there apart from a ruined ground.

They couldn't see or hear Raya. Even Muku who was connected to her couldn't sense her at all.
