Chapter 337: Battle of the Titans: And the Winner is...

As the crowd erupted in the arena, cheering for Princess Amaya after her remarkable shot, the internet was once again ignited by the passionate and lively comments of the netizens.

That shot was absolutely incredible. I’ve never seen such pinpoint accuracy, except in movie heroines.

’I am now Princess Amaya’s die hard fan. I want to learn archery, too. She looked awesome as she stretched her bowstring and released the arrow.

’I am never fond of archery before. But this princess changed my perspective.’

’Did you see the look on Adelle’s face? She could not believe it. Unfortunately, it already happened and she sure would lose this match.’

’I am from Usturia. I am proud to say that I am happy today because, for the first time in two decades, Uropa will not have the fold medal for Women’s Individual.’

’Ha ha ha. I am very happy. I won the jackpot. I placed a bet of 500,000 thousand on the princess.’

’To the poster above, don’t celebrate to early. There are still two arrows left to be shot.’

At the arena, Adelle stood in a trance, her eyes fixated on the target. "How is this even possible?" she whispered, her thoughts swirling in confusion.

"Miss Adelle Black," repeated the umpire three times, but she appeared to be lost in her own world, oblivious to the tumultuous noise emanating from the spectators.

The umpire gently tapped Miss Adelle on the shoulder and spoke, "Miss Adelle, it is your turn to take the shot."

Adelle was startled that the arrow she was holding dropped. The umpire picked it up and handed it back to her.

Adelle’s sour mood prevented her from acknowledging the umpire. As she observed the crowd fervently chanting Princess Amaya’s name, her expression twisted into a scowl of frustration.

With a look of determination, she angrily pulled back the arrow, tautening the bowstring and steadying her hand. Her target was Amaya’s arrow, and she was intent on dislodging it from the target, just as Amaya had done to her arrow.

Perhaps she was irritated that she stretched the bowstring too tight. With a deep breath, she released her hand and watched as the black fletch soared through the air toward the target. The tension was palpable as Adelle held her breath, waiting for the outcome. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

The arrow landed on the second ring from the center of the target. Adelle was so frustrated that she threw her bow to the ground.

Princess Amaya positioned herself where Adelle stood. She swiftly took an arrow from the quiver an assistant offered her. She nocked her arrow and released it the moment she aimed. It took her less than half a second. The arrow landed right beside the first, the shaft tilting slightly to the right.

Charles Gray couldn’t help but fixate on Amaya, captivated by her graceful figure and the soft, serene expression gracing her face.

The rowdy audience suddenly quieted down. They realized that their athlete was going to lose. They shouldn’t be cheering the enemy, right?

Adelle’s coach picked up her bow and gave it to her.

"Adelle, it’s your turn. No matter what, finish the game with grace." He reminded her when he saw the ugly expression on her face.

Adelle simply nodded. Her eyes dimmed and she was demoralized. She suddenly felt that the bow was very heavy. However, even if she did not win, she wanted to redeem herself. She brainwashed herself, and suddenly, the target turned into Princess Amaya’s face with her lips like cherry became the bullseye.

Adelle had never been as focused in her life as she was at that moment. She released a deep breath and released her arrow.

The color of her fletch was black, while that of Princess Amaya was red. The black arrow was heading straight to the bullseye, which was already occupied by Amaya’s arrows.

"Thud!"

Adelle’s arrow hit the bullseye but it did not lodge itself in the target because it hit the base of Amaya’s two arrows. It slid to the ground.

Adelle: "..."

After the initial shock, Adelle was exasperated. She threw her expensive bow to the ground with a lot more force, and it was broken. She turned around and wanted to leave, but she saw Charles standing there, fixated on Amaya.

The grievances she had been feeling in the last three sets finally reached their breaking point. She dashed toward Charles and threw herself into his arms.

Charles stiffened. He wanted to push her harshly, but he could not do that. Instead, he pushed her gently.

"Stop crying, will you? It is just a game."

Adelle cried harder.

"You also looked ugly when you cried. Try to compose yourself." Charles looked at her disdainfully.

Adelle stopped crying and composed herself. She did not want to look ugly in front of Charles.

At Amaya’s camp, Donelle and Pince Raquim came rushing in while the coach was happily congratulating Princess Amaya. Donelle hugged his sister and Prince Raquim did the same.

Raquim initially just wanted to hug Princess Amaya briefly, but when he felt her soft body, he intentionally did not let go and hugged her a little longer. However, he felt that someone was throwing daggers at him, and when he looked back, his eyes met with grey eyes that were glaring at him as if it wanted to skin him alive.

Raquim reluctantly let go of Amaya then he and Donelle flanked Princess Amaya as they escorted her to her seat to wait for the awarding ceremony.

After the awarding ceremony, Princess Amaya was swamped by reporters. Guards suddenly appeared to form a human barrier to keep her safe.

"Princess, everyone wanted to know why you held back during your previous games?" A reporter from Megastar Entertainment, the biggest entertainment company in Usturia, asked the princess.

"I just don’t want to gather unnecessary attention to myself," Amaya replied politely.

Another reporter from a rival company asked, "Is there someone special to whom you would want to give your medal?"

"This medal belongs to the country of Lireya. But I want to dedicate this to my father. He was my first mentor and my coach. He made my first bow and arrow and taught me how to shoot when I was just three."

A female reporter wearing a black pencil skirt and a white long-sleeved blouse appeared before her sight and commented, "The crown prince of Lireya must have done a lot of good things in his past life to have a talented daughter..."
