Raised From The Wild-Chapter 281: Marx’s Surprise 2
Amaya was lying on top of Marx. Her chest was on his chest. Marx’s arms circled her waist. She lifted her head and her starry eyes gazed into two ocean-blue ones.
Marx’s heart went ballistic as he saw his face reflected in her light brown orbs. No, it looked amber.
"Thank you so much, Marx. You made me very happy." Amaya talked softly. Her warm breath fanned Marx’s face.
Marx lost control. His right hand went upward and rested behind Amaya’s back. Then he pulled her gently and captured her lips.
Amaya’s mind went blank. Marx had kissed her a few times but this time, he was more passionate and demanding. He pushed his tongue into her mouth demanding entry.
Amaya opened her mouth and surrendered to him. In the few times they kissed, Amaya has learned to breathe and to respond.
Marx groaned. He flipped her so he was on top and continued kissing her deeply. Before he lost his rationality and became a beast, Marx released Amaya’s lips. They were both panting.
"You are welcome. You deserve the best. I am happy that you like it." Marx pressed his lips on hers briefly then he stood and helped her up.
"Come, I’ll show you around." 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
...
"Mother, you are here," the gentle voice of a boy brought Amaya out of her reverie.
"Ren, you are awake. Wonderful!" Amaya exclaimed.
The spider-boy scowled. "Ren?" He asked in confusion.
"Brother, Mother gave us a name. You are called Ren while I am Ava." The spider girl beside him interjected happily.
"Ren.. Ren...Ren..." the spider boy repeated the name three times before a smile bloomed on his face.
It was the scene that Marx and Dave bumped into when they caught up with Amaya.
"Holy sh*t. He knew how to smile. In fairness, his face looks so cute." Dave wanted to say that ’he looks cute’ but corrected himself and said that his face was cute because his body was very ugly.
Ren cast a hateful glance at Dave. He stepped back and was about to spew his web on him when Ava stopped him.
"He is mother’s friend and he checked on your injury."
Ren looked at Dave and studied him carefully.
"Marx, can you do a body scan on him again? His complexion is no longer pale which means that he is recovering well."
Marx flipped his watch open and tapped the scan button. As before, a hologram was projected from the watch and Ren’s internal structure was shown.
Dave has disbelief painted on his face.
"The swelling on his back has decreased considerably and the internal bleeding stopped. Princess, the medication you concoct is a miracle." Dave was so excited that he tugged Amaya’s sleeve.
Marx’s gaze sharpened and Dave felt a chill down his spine. He let go of Amaya’s sleeve and his face turned serious.
Amaya, handed five pieces of Milagrosa leaves to Ava.
"We might not be back in the evening. Crush this with a stone and feed it to your brother before you go to sleep tonight." Amaya hesitated and looked at Marx and then her gaze shifted to Dave. She wanted to ask if Ava and Ren would be sleeping like a human or a spider.
"Feed him when it turned dark." Marx clarified and Ava nodded.
The trio did not stay long in the secret garden. They went back to Villa 1.
"Marx, I am pretty sure that you have surveillance on the public places in the palace. You must have installed cameras in the secret garden right?" Dave asked.
"Right."
Marx led the two to his study in Villa 1. He placed his palm on one section of the wall beside the bookshelf. The bookshelf slid to the left and revealed a mural of Amaya’s painting of her pets Khalil, Strata, and Kong with Amaya standing behind them like a Jungle Goddess looking over her subjects.
The tiger and the wolf looked fierce and the ape looked stupid.
Amaya touched the Mural and she shivered.
"They looked so real and alive," Amaya exclaimed as she continued to trace the painting with her hand.
"It is the 3D painting technique. It tricked the eye by showing the objects as three-dimensional making them look alive."
Marx placed his palm on Amaya’s right eye, then he proceeded to the left eye and finally to her left chest.
"That’s the pattern to open the door to the control room from the study." The moment Marx completed his sentence, the door opened revealing a staircase.
Marx together with Amaya and Dave descended the stairs and arrived at a corridor.
Amaya and Dave turned to Marx in confusion. What they were facing was simply a black wall painted with different white geometric patterns.
"There are 6 doors here. Three would lead to a trap. One leads to the control room. The second one leads to the laboratory and the third one is an escape route that would lead to the labyrinth. One path leads to the northern part of the island. I had a rest house built there. It would be easy to escape from the island from there."
"But that side of the island is dangerous. The waves are very strong and they go up to more than 4 meters. Besides that side of the island has lots of sharp rocks and no boats, even small ones could dock." Dave commented.
"That’s the reason why I chose that place."
Dave was speechless.
Marx placed his palm on a pattern of intersecting equilateral triangles with a circle in the middle.
A part of the wall disappeared. Actually, it was a door that opened.
"It didn’t look like this in the blueprint." Amaya walked close to the door and ran her hands along the wall.
It was her idea to place a laboratory in the basement of the main villa. It was intended for concocting medicine using Milagrosa and a few other herbs that she brought from the Island of Miraga.
"Who would have thought that there is a door there? The one who designed this place was a genius." Amaya said in wonder.
Marx’s lips curled up. He was the one who designed the facilities beneath the main villa.
Initially, Amaya wanted to call her residence Maharlika Mansion but both her Grandfather and her Daddy Ibarra insisted on calling it Maharlika Palace. She was the First Princess of Lireya after all. Besides, the main residence plus the twelve villas for the guests occupied a vast area of fifteen hectares.
