Raised From The Wild-Chapter 270: Dragon Lord 2
A tall muscular man in his mid-fifties silently approached Hendrix Skylar. He was around 1.9 meters, so Hendrix had to look up at him when talking.
"Thank you for coming over on such short notice, General Jones." The old man spoke but his gaze did not leave the tiara that was encased in a glass.
"Don’t worry Sec-Gen. I am really scheduled to fly into Usturia today for some other matters."
It was still early in the morning and the museum was not open yet so there were only the two of them inside the gallery.
"So you are the only person who knew the identity of the DragonLord?"
"He was my subordinate after all. I’ve known him for a long time. Dragon Lord actually is very pitiful. While his brother had all the glory, he was living a low-key life in the military. The year, the crown prince of Lireya got married he approached me and volunteered to lead that dangerous mission." General Jones spoke in a serious tone.
"That was when Dragon Lord was born."
Hendrix took out a device from his pocket and pressed a series of numbers. The glass casing where the tiara was kept clicked open. The old man took it out and studied it carefully.
"Not bad. It exactly look like the original." General Jones observed the taira carefully. He also looked at variations of the tiara at different stages of completion.
"This must be his first attempt at making the tiara." Hendrix pointed to an ugly-looking clump of metal in the shelf.
"I could not imagine that Dragon Lord would have such a side to him." General Jones said looking amused. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
"If it is you in his place, would you do these kinds of things?" Hendrix gestured to the few dresses and jewelry on the display.
"Maybe. But I would not be as good as him."
Hendrix chuckled then he pondered if he would make such things if it was him. Definitely, he will not.
"The child looked naive but she was very intelligent. She got her eyes from her father. When I first looked into those eyes, I had goosebumps because it was just like looking into Ibrahim’s eyes."
"Dragon Lord must have loved the child too much. He made a lot of things for her." Hendrix returned the tiara back to its case.
"The crown prince must have been humiliated when Marx displayed all these artifacts in the museum. Just look at all the portraits of the woman. Only an extraordinary painter can paint a woman’s look from memory. He must have loved her that much."
General Jones cast a complicated look at the old man. He did not understand why the Skylar patriarch became so interested in Ibrahim Rocas.
"If I don’t know you better, Gen-Sec, I would think that you are a fan of Ibrahim Rocas."
"I am not a fan of Ibrahim Rocas. I am a fan of Dragon Lord." The old man shamelessly said.
"Can you show me the report that Dragon Lord prepared?"
They moved to the room where the LED screen that displayed the plane crash was. There was a couch there and they sat beside each other.
General Jones took out a rectangular box. He opened it using a special key. He removed the cover of his watch and placed the chip inside.
A blue light came out of his watch and letter after letters were projected in the blue light.
"Why are you making it difficult for me? I am already old. Didn’t you transfer that to a more readable format like a document or a presentation?" Hendrix complained.
"I haven’t completed transcribing this yet. I cannot let another person touch this device."
"Can you describe what is written there? My eyes are aching because of the flickering light. I am also having a headache."
General Jones has a difficult time holding his laughter. In the end, he decided to just tell the Secretary-General what the content of the report was.
"So Dragon Lord was saying that Dark Phoenix was about to complete a prototype of a chip that they can embed inside the animal’s body and control them remotely?" Hendrix did not have any doubt at all. He definitely agreed that it was feasible.
Skylar’s research and development have similar chips but they put it on robots, not animals. With the advent of modern technology, anything is possible. The human mind is limitless and humankind can do the impossible with technology.
"Would you believe that Dragon’s Lord speculated that the chip would be developed in Usturia and it will be mass-produced in Chaneya and sent over to inconspicuous and small countries with virgin forests to be tested on the wild animals?"
"The plan sounds logical. It would be difficult to track the chips if they do that. People behind the Dark Phoenix are very cunning."
"Have you heard about the forest fire in Lireya less than two months ago?" General Jones asked.
Hendrix furrowed his brows. A deep crease appeared on his forehead. He did not understand why General Jones would change the topic to something seemingly insignificant.
"The First Princes with the help of your grandson bought an island. The island has two mountains with forests in them. They were exploring the forests when they uncovered something interesting." General Jones paused and glanced at the old man.
"The princess must be very rich to buy an island. Surely, It isn’t my grandson who bought that island and gifted it to her right?"
"The money belonged to the Princess. Your grandson auctioned off a few precious metals and has gotten a lot of money."
"You are quite scary, General Jones. Are you intentionally spying on my grandson?" Hendrix asked quite annoyed.
"I dare not Sec-Gen. It is only because we need to investigate that we found out these things." General Jones explained.
"Why investigate?"
"You might not heard the fire that broke out in Verde Island two months ago. That was the island that the princess bought. The Lireyan government announced that it was a terrorist attack but there was more to it actually.
