Chapter 236: Not a Rumor But The Truth

Amaya wanted to ask where they came from and if they had other family members. But she decided against it.

"She needs to eat." Amaya took out an apple from her backpack and handed it to the female ’thing.’ They actually fit the description of the minotaur in her Daddy Ibrahim’s stories about the myths of the fictional era of the Roman and Grecian empires. She would call them minotaur and minotaura moving forward.

Amaya did not know what kind of food they ate. Were they herbivores just like all other cattles or did they eat both meat and vegetables just like humans?

The minotaur stood, and the tip of his horn almost touched the roof of the cavern. He moved what looked like to be a wall to the side and an entryway was revealed. It was narrow but tall. The minotaur was over 2 meters tall.

When he came back, he was carrying a lot of fruits and tender leaves of grass and handed them to his mate who ate without hesitation.

The two calves moved to their mother who was now sitting down and sucked from her breast. The family of four looked happy.

Amaya stood. She stayed in the place for more than one hour. She was worried about Marx and Marx should have been worried about her.

"I need to find my mate," Amaya spoke slowly so the minotaur could understand her.

The minotaur grunted.

The female minotaur looked at Amaya with her red eyes that looked gentle.

"Thank you." she said in an unpleasant voice. "Babies survived."

Amaya wondered at what she meant. Did all her babies died before?

"Do you have other family members?" Amaya finally asked.

"Father. Died. Killed by man-wolf." The minotaur spoke with difficulty.

Amaya frowned. "Father?"

"Father, like you." The minotaura pointed at her.

Amaya understood. The father she was referring to might be the scientist who created them but was killed by a werewolf.

"I have to go. Take care of your babies."

Amaya took out her cell phone. She wanted to take photos of these rare animals. She raised her camera. The minotaur standing behind her back bared its fangs, and its eyes turned fiery red.

Amaya lowered her hand and placed her cell phone back at her pocket. It would be better for these animals to remain hidden in this place.

Amaya turned around to face the minotaur who already calmed down when he saw that Amaya did not take photos of them.

Princess Amaya walked to the direction of the tunnel. The minotaur grabbed her and let her sit on his arms. He has long strides and he walked faster. He wanted to send the human faster so he can go back to his family immediately.

He sensed the presence of the humans the moment they entered the mountain. He has a very sensitive nose. When his mate showed signs of labor earlier, he left and followed the trail of the humans. He wanted to abduct the male who looked skilled and wise just like his father. But then he saw that the woman tended to the wound of another male hence, he took the woman instead. His mate delivered their babies safely. To show his gratitude, he will send her back to the place where he abducted her.

Meanwhile, Marx and Vasquez crazily followed the trail left behind by the ’beast.’ It moved so fast that they did not have a chance to see what it was. All they saw was a brown blur. When they reached the river, the horses hesitated but Marx soon found a shallow part of the river and they crossed without difficulty but they lost the footprints.

Marx activated the tracker on his app. He led Apollo to follow the direction pointed to by the app until they came to a dead end.

In front of them was the bottom of a cliff and it was solid rock.

"Are you sure this is the correct direction?" Vasquez asked.

"Yes. Maybe we need to go around. There should be a path that would lead us to the back of this cliff."

Marx urged Apollo to turn left. Apollo did not budge. He neighed.

"What’s wrong with you Apollo? We need to hurry up. Every minute of delay can pause a danger to Amaya."

He pulled the rope around Apollo’s neck. He pulled a bit too strong. Apollo tilted his head and looked back at Marx looking wronged. Still, he did not budge.

Marx was getting anxious and angry.

"Damn, horse! Don’t force me to whip you." Marx shouted angrily.

The wall of rock in front of them suddenly disappeared as it moved to the side.

Marxed and Vasques who were sitting on their horses froze as they came face to face with Amaya who was sitting on the bent arm of a two-meter, bull-looking man or rather a man-looking bull.

Vasquez’s eyeballs popped out and his jaw dropped. "A minotaur? Boss, common punch me, I am hallucinating." 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

Marx’s hand moved to the gun hidden under his vest. Amaya saw his movement.

"Don’t Marx. He meant no harm." Amaya said calmly and then she jumped from the Mintotaur’s arm and landed at the back of Artemis.

She nodded at the minotaur and said in a loud voice. "Take care of your family."

The minotaur made eye contact with Marx. He seemed to be passing a message to him with his stare. "You have a good mate, take care of her."

The hole in the wall disappeared. It took some time for Marx to process what just happened.

"Is that really a minotaur?" Vasquez asked excitedly.

’Yes, you can call him that." Amaya replied indifferently.

"What happened, Aya? Why did that beast abduct you?" Marx asked Amaya, his gaze never leaving her.

"His mate was giving birth." Amaya pondered for a moment before continuing. "Maybe, what Vasquez said earlier was not a rumor but the truth."

"What the heck? You mean that the crazy scientist in the rumor is here in this mountain and created those freaks?"
