Raised From The Wild-Chapter 203: Her Insecurities
"It is not me. He is my friend and I watched your practice videos." Marx explained.
"I knew it. He is a bit feminine and a very cheerful person. So it cannot be you."
Marx led her to the side of the banquet hall. "Are you saying that I am a boring person?"
"No, that’s not what I meant," Amaya replied. She looked around and noticed that Marx was leading her out of the banquet hall and into the garden.
The man in the black panther mask wanted to follow them but a woman in a white gown wearing a translucent mask that resembled the wings of a fairy approached him and offered to dance with him. The man threw a sharp glance in the direction where Marx and Amaya went.
The woman smiled at him sweetly and it somehow calmed the rage he was feeling deep inside. Her hair waist-length hair was slightly wavy and it was like the color of copper.
"I am very jealous, My King. You got married today and danced with two different women. It made me feel insecure." She pouted and said in a coquettish tone.
The man in the black panther mask chuckled lightly. "You got the wrong person, beautiful lady. I am not ’Your Majesty’" the man said in a husky voice.
The woman puckered her lips and placed her hands on the man’s waist and on his chest. "I am very familiar with this body. I cannot be wrong."
King Ralden lifted her chin and looked into her obsidian eyes like his. He chuckled and whispered into her ear.
"You are very beautiful tonight, Sofia, and very smart. Of all my women, you are the best. I could not fool you."
"If I am the best, then why did you not make me your queen?" Sofia asked in an aggrieved tone.
"You know the rules, Sofia. You are a half-breed. But your status in my heart is higher than a queen."
"Then can you sleep with me tonight?" She asked with doe-like eyes.
King Ralden pinched her chin. "You know my rules, dear Sofia. The wedding night is always the most memorable one for every my bride. Be good and come to me tomorrow night." King Ralden led her out of the dance floor.
"I have something to do. You can stay here or go back to your room. I don’t like you to dance with another man. You know how possessive I am. I don’t like another man to touch my possession." King Ralden’s voice was gentle but Sofia felt a chill down her spine. She followed King Ralden with her gaze as he disappeared in the direction where the Phoenix woman disappeared.
A glint passed across her dark eyes. The king has never shown an interest to a woman like he did to that woman. Who was she that the King has to use his shadow to fool his bride so he can spend time with her? Sofia pondered for a long time before exiting the banquet hall to go back to her room. She needed to make some calls.
At the garden, Marx excused himself as he needed to go to the restroom. It was more than fifteen minutes and Marx was not back yet. She heard a rustle. She turned around excitedly but she froze when she saw who he was. Amaya blinked her eyes. It was not Marx but the man who was wearing a black panther’s mask.
"I have been looking for you, My Lady. I haven’t claimed my second dance yet because you suddenly disappeared." King Ralden, aka ’Black Panther’ said in a cello-like voice.
He stepped forward. Amaya stepped backward. The mysterious man took another step forward and Amaya could not make another step as the flower garden was behind her.
"I was jealous when you were dancing intimately with the man in a dragon mask." He placed his hand under her chin and forced her to look at him.
Amaya felt that his scent was intoxicating and she was under his spell. She held her breath, blinked and her movements seemed to wake her up from her trance. She stepped to the side to escape his grasp. She was now convinced that the man in front of her was the King of Ra-Iya himself.
"You should not be, Mister. He and I, are close to each other after all."
The man chuckled. "I want to be close and intimate with you as well, My Lady." He whispered in a dangerous deep voice.
Amaya’s eyes widened when she felt a warmth encircled her wrist and tugged her hard. She felt that her body crushed into a hard wall of flesh and a hand grasped the small of her back.
"Let me go!"
"Let her go!"
Princess Amaya and Marx yelled at the same time.
The man in the black panther mask laughed. He held his hands up in the air and blurted out "Okay!" Then he left without turning back.
"Are you okay?" Marx asked worriedly.
"I am okay." She wanted to nestle in Marx’s arms but kept herself from doing so because she knew that there were many camera’s around.
"But I am scared of him, Marx. He seemed to have the power to put me under his spell."
"Don’t worry, I will be here." Marx’s voice reassured her.
"I want to go back to the White Villa. I don’t like to dance anymore." She looked around as if looking for someone.
Marx guessed that she was looking for her guards. "The two guards are drugged and unconscious. I asked the King’s servants to take them back to the White Villa. "The safest place now is the banquet hall so, I will take you back there."
King Ralden who have merged with the shadows clenched his fist as he watched the two people talking to each other. He could not clearly hear their voices as they spoke very softly. He finally figured out the identity of the man in the dragon mask.
