Raised From The Wild-Chapter 201: Dancing With A Mysterious Man
Zanzara’s expression behind the mask turned ugly. The woman wearing a phoenix gown and matching mask was extraordinarily stunning. Her heart trembled when she saw that the color of her hair was like that of copper.
’Is that Amaya?’ she muttered under her breath.
She looked around and sighed when she saw that were at least three more people having the same height and hair color as her cousin. She hated that woman. How dare she stole the limelight from her?
"Are you alright, My Queen? I can feel the increasing pressure of your grip on my hand." King Ralden looked down at her with concern in his eyes.
"I am sorry, My King." She relaxed her hold on him and shifted her head slightly in the direction where the woman with a phoenix mask was standing. "Do you know the woman wearing the phoenix mask?" She asked in a soft voice.
King Ralden followed her line of sight. His gaze landed briefly on the woman before returning it to the new bride in front of him.
"No. Maybe she is one of the invited noble ladies." He looked unconcerned and his full focus was on Zanzara. His mission tonight was to make the queen happy and to have his 100% focus on her.
Zanzara relaxed. King Ralden seemed to have eyes only for her tonight and she felt elated.
The Phoenix Lady did not have time to settle herself in the corner when a few men surrounded her and asked for a dance.
"I am sorry. Let me catch my breath first." The lady in the Phoenix mask declined their offer. The three men could only wait.
Princess Amaya took a cocktail drink from a passing waiter and took a sip. Her gaze scanned the area and she relaxed when she saw two of her guards nearby. She looked for the other guard but could not find him anywhere. Her gaze landed on the two ladies talking to each other who have similar hair and height as her. One was wearing a mermaid gown and matching mask while the other one was like a fairy. Her mask was translucent enhancing her facial features.
’She is so beautiful. I wonder why no one is dancing with her.’ Amaya thought to herself and she wanted to come to her and get to know her.
"May I have a dance with you, My Lady?" a deep, magnetic voice resonated in her ears at the same time that a big hand suddenly appeared in front of her.
Princess Amaya froze. That deep magnetic voice was so familiar. She lifted her head to look at the couple dancing on the dance floor. She heaved a sigh of relief when she saw King Ralden dancing contentedly with her new bride. She retracted her gaze and looked up at the man, whose hand was still in front of her. Her heart jumped out to her throat when a pair of obsidian eyes met hers.
’Those eyes, that were dark as midnight..’ She convinced herself that it was just a coincidence.
"My Lady, my arms are getting tired. Aren’t you going to give face to this humble servant of yours?"
Before Princess Amaya could reply, the three men whom she rejected earlier started complaining.
"We invited her first. You should wait for your turn."
The man who was wearing an all-black suit and a black panther mask glared at them. His face was fully covered by the mask and only his eyes were visible. He towered over them and exuded a frightening aura that caused the three men to step back. They excused themselves and went to the opposite side of the banquet hall.
Princess Amaya was dumbfounded.
"They are gone now, My lady so I hope you can accept my hand."
The princess was left with no choice. She placed her right hand over his outstretched hand. A smile bloomed behind the mask as he lead her to the dance floor. He made a hand movement and the moment they reached the dance floor, the music changed into the famous Lireyan Waltz.
King Ralden looked at Zanzara’s dress with concern. It was a mermaid gown and not appropriate for that kind of dance.
"My queen, let us take a rest. This is a fast dance and your dress is not appropriate."
Zanzara nodded and King Ralden escorted her to their designated seats. A servant served them delicacies and wine.
On the dance floor, the mysterious man who was wearing the panther mask placed his hand on the small of Amaya’s back then it slid slowly onto her waist. His hand was big that it covered half of her waist.
"You have beautiful curves, Lady Phoenix. Your waist is very slim and your hips are very curvy. I like it." He said shamelessly.
"Please mind your manners, Mister. Don’t go overboard."
Princess Amaya was familiar with the song as it was a popular one. As part of her training, she has also practiced this kind of dance with an instructor.
The mysterious man was leading her in the dance. He was better than the instructor. Soon, they were gliding gracefully across the dance floor. Other couples who were previously dancing left the floor to give them room. They stood at the side and watch the pair.
"Mister, I only know basic dance steps. Your moves are getting faster and more complicated."
"But you are able to follow them well, Lady Phoenix," he said in a seductive voice. He pulled her closer until their bodies touched. Princess Amaya tried to resist but her strength was weaker compared to him.
"You are quite strong Lady Phoenix." He tightened his hold on her and she could feel his strong abs against her breasts.
Before Princess Amaya can verbalize her protest for taking advantage of her, the man with the black panther mask led her into a beautiful turn. Amaya took that opportunity to escape from him. She made a few twirls away from him so when the music ended, she would be at the far end of the dance floor.
She twirled faster and when she finally made her last turn, she felt herself land into a hard wall of chest. She looked up into a pair of angry orbs that resembled the color of the raging seas.
"It’s you..."
