Raised From The Wild-Chapter 190: A Love Rival?
"Watch your word, Miss Rocas. You are maybe a Princess, but you are still a student here, and I am your Professor, so you have to show me respect." Natalia was fuming that smoke was coming out of her eyes.
Amaya was confused. When did she disrespect her? "I don’t know when I disrespected you, Professor. I am just saying the truth." She kept her voice soft and polite.
Julienne who was still answering her test papers looked up. She felt that there was something wrong between the two.
The professor regarded Amaya with hostility. She hated the fact that despite wearing heels, Amaya who was on sneakers was still taller than her. When she started hearing murmurs from the back, she gave Amaya back her test paper, then she strode forward and stood behind the podium.
"Alright, since many of you are already noisy exchange your test paper with the person at your back and then exchange the paper you are currently holding to the person to your right. if no one is on your right, then pass it to the person in front of you.
’So, she is letting the students check the test papers. What a lazy professor!" Julienne cursed silently.
The professor dictated the answers and the students check the answer on the paper that they are holding.
"Leave out the essays. The total points without the essay should be 40 points. Anybody got the 40."
A male student wearing black-rimmed eyeglasses raised the paper in his hand. Professor Pracella was surprised. She thought that she gave difficult questions but someone got full marks.
"Can you tell me who got lucky to get a perfect score on my exam?"
"It is Princess Amaya, Professor."
The smile on her face froze for a second before she recovered. "That is great! Congratulations Princes Amaya. I am truly surprised. You are lucky."
Amaya just stayed silent in her chair. When the bell rang, she pulled Julienne out of the room and finally, she heaved a sigh of relief. She could now breathe fresh air. The perfume that the professor wore, was too strong for Amaya and she developed a migraine after staying for some time in the room.
"Finally, the air is so fresh!" Amaya blurted out. She looked back at Julienne and did not see the pending disaster. She bumped into a wall of strong muscles. She almost fell down but two strong arms reached out and held her on her waist to steady her.
A camera was snapped.
"Careful!" A deep magnetic voice whispered near her ear.
This was the scene that greeted Professor Natalia the moment she stepped out of the room. She pursed her lips and her fingernails dug into her palms until she could feel the blood on her fingertips.
Amaya hurriedly freed herself from Stephane’s arms and she stepped back to create more distance between them.
"Thank you, Professor," Amaya uttered.
"I didn’t know that the First Princess of Lireya would throw herself into someone’s arms the moment she stepped out of the classroom." Natalia’s sarcastic voice rang in Amaya’s ears.
"it was an accident," Julienne explained on behalf of Amaya.
Natalia threw her a gaze that said ’Shut Up.’
"Indeed it was an accident!" Stephane spoke up for Amaya.
"Stephane, you are here. Did you come from your class?" Natalia asked enthusiastically.
Stephane simply hummed and gave her an impassive gaze. Then he looked at Amaya and said gently. "If you are not hurt, then let us go. I promised you earlier that I will be your guide this afternoon."
Stephane did not wait for her to answer. He held her by the wrist and dragged her from the corridor. Julienne can only follow them. She was confused as to what just happened. Why is it that she felt that Stephane was running away from something or someone and she used Amaya as a means of escape?
Natalia on the other hand followed them with her dark gaze. She bit her lips until they almost bled. Stephane did not even look at her but instead held the woman’s wrist.
She dialed a number and after two rings someone answered. "Let me know where they are heading and I will be there as well."
"Boss, they are heading towards the library."
"Got it," Natalia said and then she hung up. She walked toward the direction of the library.
Meanwhile, Amaya wriggled her hand to escape Stephane’s grip.
"Professor Stephane, can you let go of my wrist first? You are hurting me." Amaya complained.
Stephane felt that a bucket of cold water was poured over him. He hurriedly let go of his hand. "I am sorry." He said gently.
"it is alright," Amaya said while massaging her wrist. She looked around and noticed that they were headed to the main building that Amaya first saw when she passed by the university a few weeks ago.
Stephane led the two ladies to the third floor. "Our first stop will be the library."
Amaya was awed when she saw the massive double door of the library. The pair of doors were made from hardwood and dyed with the color of mahogany.
Amaya entered the library excitedly. The library was many times bigger than the one at the palace, but because it was filled with shelves, it looked very cramped.
She started browsing the books on the first shelf but she was not interested so she moved to the second shelf where most of the history books were arranged neatly.
One particular book caught her attention. It says, "The History of Ancient Lireya."
Amaya studied the book carefully. She was intrigued. She was pulling it out when the books on the topmost level started falling on her!
"Princess!"
"Amaya!"
Julienne and Stephane cried at the same time.
Amaya tried to dodge but she realized that there were more books falling so she run outside the range of the shelves.
"Amaya, are you alright?" Julienne asked discreetly.
Amaya gestured that she was fine.
"I think someone wants me dead."
